Hampton Inn & Suites San Antonio-Airport

Everything was good, room as described, my only gripe was our room didn't have refrigerator but other than that, everything was good. They have signs up stating they will be starting renovations which would be good, because their furniture is dated.

Breakfast was good, location easy to get to. AC worked good. Staff very friendly. Did not like paying to park, even though it was 25.00 to park 2 nights, I feel if I am staying in the property , parking on premise should be part of the nightly stay. Bathroom sink was slow to drain, tub shower would not come up all the way, so more water in tub due to most coming out of faucet, not shower head. Hotel needs a facelift

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Fiesta Texas because it was half the price of the hotels closer to the park. It is conveniently located near several restaurants, a mall, and a Walmart. There are signs up in the hotel saying that they will be renovating soon. You can tell the hotel is older and really needs renovating, but it was clean and met our needs for the price. The grandkids enjoyed the indoor pool.

Then in the parking lot which I had to pay for …. My truck was broken into… broken drivers window and stuff stolen 3rd time this has happened at Hampton suite…. Never any other hotel!

The room was literally falling apart. The door to the room was falling off the hinges and the lock was barely attached. The closet door was hanging in pieces. The tiles in the bathroom were missing grout and were broken. The air conditioner struggled to cool the room in May. The wall paper was peeling off the walls. And when we mentioned issues to the staff the response we got was a snarky "that's why we're renovating".

I brought this up to the receptionist, and instead of offering a real solution, I was simply told that the room shown in the photos “wasn’t available.” That is unacceptable. Accessibility is not a luxury upgrade — it’s a necessity. Advertising accessible features and then failing to provide them puts disabled guests and their families in a terrible position after traveling and arriving exhausted. Very disappointing experience and poor handling of a serious accessibility issue. I would strongly caution anyone needing true ADA-compliant accommodations before booking here. Terrible mistake the did by not trying to contact me after multiple times I tried calling the manager. I’ll be reporting this hotel to the ADA.

Started out great the staff was awesome and welcoming when we arrived. Upon arrival in our room we soon discovered our refrigerator smelled like rotten food and our air conditioner wouldn't get very cold at all. Then we tried to stream some Netflix and the TV didn't even have streaming capabilities so we had to go buy a Roku. When we tried to lay down around 10:00 p.m. the people above us were extremely rowdy and loud so I called the front desk and was informed they would call the room and have them calm down. It didn't do much good it wasn't near constant it was just periodically until about 5:00 in the morning when it became very constant again so I call the front desk one more time only for her to tell me she would wait and let a manager know when they showed up at 8:00 I believe she said. So I asked her if I was supposed to deal with that until then and her answer was she would call them again. Needless to say we didn't get any sleep nor will we offered any comp or even an apology. The swimming pool is indoor and is extremely small and humid as well as extremely chlorinated. Aside from the welcome staff it was a horrible experience definitely would not recommend nor will I be staying again at Hampton Inn & Suites.

The room was a suite which worked great for us. It was a little older but it was clean. The staff was helpful and cheerful. You can't beat parking for $5.00 a night. Downtown was $35 per night. We'll stay there again the next time we're in San Antonio.

The front desk are pretty nonexistent after 1am and the gym is closed at that time until 6am. The walls were cracked and peeled and doesn’t look very pleasing. Lighting was bad and their lamps were old.

The rooms are outdated and needs some updating. I booked 2 rooms one had a musty order and the tub stopper was broken.The manager did offer us a room change which we took.i wasn't expecting a parking fee,that took me by surprise. I would not book this hotel again.

The room was ok. But we arrived an hour early and the front desk clerk Nicole was so rude. After that I just didn’t feel welcome. The manager was very kind and apologized but sometimes after a hard day of flying, you just want to get to your room and relax a bit.

I left the property after staying only a few hours. I arrived late due to an accident and the staff was nonchalant and we couldn’t understand anything she said. The property was dated with mildew smell when we entered the room. Sink was stopped up, shower was broken and carpet has an awful odor. No micro refrigerator. We left knowing that we had paid for an additional two days and didn’t care that we would lose the money. We were there to vacation and wanted a NICE place to stay and that definitely was not it. Manager stated that because I booked through third party and had paid for what I thought was incidental that I wouldn’t get my money back and it wasn’t her problem.

greeted us and made us feel so welcome. later, she made it a point to meet my other two sisters, again greeting them with a smile. Additionally, Lupe, the Hostess for food services, went out of her way to insure one of my sisters had decaf coffee. Our stay at Hampton Inn at the airport was delightful!

Clean, friendly staff, easy access. There is some construction going on so that threw me off a little but overall good stay.

Our experience was very uncomfortable. The initial room had a falling ceiling, and the replacement room was barely better. It was unclean, featuring dirty curtains, stained bathroom walls, and a blanket with red stains. Due to the overall poor sanitation of the hotel, we did not feel comfortable eating the breakfast.

Very clean and a great staff. The only issue was parking. It was full and staff failed to get the vehicles that were double parked to help others like myself get parked in the lot. We had to park down the street that had no light post and I did feel uneasy about leaving my vehicle a good ways away from the hotel. Other than that it was perfect.

We were 5 mins from the airport which my wife wanted, but the bites made the rest of our weekend uncomfortable since we traveled to Dallas!

Yes the facilities were adaquete the hotel is under construction or remodeling and it was a bit disturbing when you pull into the lot and all the windows are covered in plastic.

We had a room that had a connecting door. The guests next door were either very loud or the walls are thin as we were able to easily hear and understand their conversation. We had an evening event and decided to wait until after we returned to request a new room but to our surprise, it was quiet. The $5 parking charge is just a pure money grab and ridiculous given that cars seem to be broken into at this place fairly regularly. Hope the renovation cures some of the ills at this property.

Extremely bad service, parking was horrible. Someone broke into my vehicle and they just said “were not responsible, its San Antonio” I asked them for bags to clean the glass ob my vehicle and the lady said “we cant, we have them counted” do not ever stay there!

The hotel was being renovated when we got there. If I had known this when I made my reservation, I would have not stayed there. The room was ok but the ac didn’t cool too well. It felt humid in the room. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. More like a continental breakfast. I most likely will not stay here again.

The day we checked in there was work being done on the building. We were in a room in the top floor. You could hear workers running around on the roof. This week on for hours. The ac in the room did not keep the room cool at all. The first night there 5 vehicles were broken into. After speaking with other guest we learned that this was normal. That all 3 hotels in that ear were like a free for all on the weekends and nothing was ever done about it. So if you’re okay with your window being smashed out this is the hotel for you.

The property felt tired and the floors were dirty. I could not bring myself to try the breakfast food and went out for breakfast. The absolute worst thing was a complete lack of hot water to take a shower. The airport shuttle only operates every hour even though the airport is a 5 minute drive, so it is largely inconvenient. There is no compelling reason to stay at this property when there are other options.

Our AC unit did not have high cool the actual temperature in the room was 78* F even though we had it set to 60* F the whole 2 days. We let front desk know about and they didn’t have any technician to check it out. I understand that the building is being renovated but the guest should be able to rest comfortably.

This hotel has really gone downhill. It needs a lot of maintenance. The basic rooms don’t even have a microwave, refrigerator or even body wash. It’s ok for a quick overnight stay to go to the airport.. but that’s it.

The receptionist was rude from the beginning, and she seemed like she just hated her job. The hotel floors were dirty; I didn't see a cleaning person once during my stay. Appeared as if they were remodeling parts of the property making it more difficult to park and having to pay a fee to park I felt was an insult.

Our family had been planning a birthday get-away for my wife for several weeks prior to our visit. Sadly, the three nights we stayed at this hotel were the worst in the last 15 years visiting the city. On our first day, my daughter was bitten by a TICK that was hidden under the bed blankets and had to take her to the ER because she was running a 101 degree FEVER!! Secondly, Hotels.com did not mention that this Hampton Inn was undergoing renovations across the exterior walls, and this would prohibit guest parking, eliminating around 25 parking slots. Every night, after returning to the hotel from our activities, we had to park on the public street across the hotel. On our second night, because of the lack of parking spaces, Hampton Inn, was asking the guest to park inside the precises, disregarding and breaking city and state ordinances, right alongside the RED Emergency painted curve, which is for the Fire Department in case of an emergency. Hampton Inn placed ALL the guest in extreme danger if an unfortunate event would have occurred. Video and Pictures were taken of this occurrence. On our third, and last night, Thank God, the hotel opened up some 5 parking spaces, but still was not enough for the close to 15 cars that were still parking across the street. I would say, that over all, aside from my daughters TICK bite, the third night was the worst. By the following morning we found out that 7 cars were broken into. Leaving glass everywhere. LAST TIME WE STAY HERE!

I highly recommend to stay here. The pool is awesome and the staff was real helpful. Only 2 things that I did not like. The first our room did not have a microwave or fridge. I’ve stayed there at least 5 times and they always had them in the room. Second was the parking I had to park on the street, but that was because of construction in the back. All in all I highly recommend and I will be coming back for sure.

When I checked in. They charged me another $25 deposit and five dollars for parking which they did not tell me about they just ran my credit card. The room did not have no microwave. No little refrigerator. One of the ladies in the front desk look like she did not like her job.

Arrived at 11:45 and told the shuttle to the hotel from the airport ended (even though it ended at 12:00am). Had to take a Uber to the hotel and then back to the hotel b/c it only ran every hour. That is not convenience. Won't stay again at this property given the inconvenience of the shuttle service.

The breakfast was perfect for me because I didn't want a whole lot. I was missing some honey and regular Raisin Bran, but those are just picky things. Everything was wonderful, really. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kudos! I couldn't tell how to adjust the air in the room at first. The label on the wall could have been more clear, instructing the guest to adjust the air on the window unit (or something similar).

Rooms are old, couldn't sleep because of constant AC going on and off, you couldn't control it... and staff wasn't helpful at all... charged us extra $$$ for 30 minutes past check out after explaining that our son had an accident at a game and we needed to go to the emergency room

This was my first day at a Hampton Inn and sometime and it was a bit of a let down. I think the rating on hotels.com is a bit overstated. Front desk and breakfast Buffet staff for polite and helpful. The location is very convenient to the airport. I was surprised by a $5 charge for parking which previously I had only encountered at downtown hotels. As for the room, I give it a B+ for cleanliness. The room was large and the bed was comfortable enough and the Linens were clean and crisp. But the furniture was well worn with nicks and scratches. The door was secure, but the frame seemed to be out of alignment with the door and there was a crack at the bottom open out into the hallway. The toilet tank lid had been broken into and was glued back together in an obvious fashion. There was also mildew forming in the caulking on the shower. Overall for the price, it was not a bad experience, but I doubt I will stay there again.

The hotel is not kept up or cared for at all. There are dings, chips, marks, dents on walls, doors, and furniture everywhere. The seats are sunken in. The room and common spaces weren’t very clean. The hotel is soliciting reviews by offering free parking if you show a staff person your review. That’s why they are getting all the good reviews they have had recently.

I had two rooms...Room 419 and 421. My wife and I stayed in 421 and the beds were comfortable but a little squeaky. The room was clean...kudos to housekeeping. The place is ideally located and quiet considering Loop 410 runs nearby. Emma checked us in, and she was very courteous. Breakfast was decent and the coffee was hot and tasty! Would recommend and we will stay again!

I chose the hotel based on proximity to the airport because I was in San Antonio for less than 24 hours. After a long flight, arriving well before check in, I needed a nap and shower before heading to my destination/ obligation for the day. Emma, who I spoke with on the phone during a layover, was very friendly and professional when I arrived. She accommodated me as soon as a room was available. I was grateful for her service and hospitality.

Overall, the hotel was good and we didn’t have any other problems during our stay.

Shower nozzle was broken so we had to hold it up to shower. Maintenance said they fixed it but didn’t. A/C barely worked, it was 40 degrees outside but we were hot. Def under par compared to most Hampton Inns I’ve been to.

For Hampton Inn property I had higher expectations because prior visits to other Hampton Inns were always 4 to 4.5 quality. this property was old and could use some updates. For example, the sheets on the bed slipped of the corners of the bed because the sheets shrunk or too small. The staff were fine, friendly, and helpful

Upon entering my room, there were dirty washcloths on the sink counter in the bathroom. A dog (or some other life form) also peed on the carpet by the desk, it was still wet and I stepped on it. The beds were really lumpy. The room smelled like mould. I was very disappointed with the quality of my room

The hotel itself is very nice! The room was spacious and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately, we booked this specifically for the pool, and it was shut down for service. I understand that sometimes things are unavoidable, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could have made other arrangements for my kids.

The staff was friendly and were probably doing a good job with what they had, but the hotel overall was very disappointing. The room was ok and the showerhead was great. We used the airport shuttle. The hotel told us ahead of time to contact them when we reach the pickup point at the airport. I did this and it took 40 minutes before the shuttle arrived to pick us up. The hotel is .7 miles from the airport. 2 of the 3 cardio machines were not working correctly (or at all) in the fitness center. The guest restroom near the lobby was out of toilet paper. The breakfast area tables were very messy. As mentioned, the staff was nice, but I would not stay here again.

This Hampton is an older property and the rooms and bathroom shows some of that age. But our stay was very nice and we were able to upgrade to a suite when we got a room that was small and didn't have a refrigerator. The suite was very spacious and had just what we needed for our needs. The staff was very friendly and quick to help us make that adjustment. We plan to stay there again when we return in February.

The property is older so I understand that impacts how you experience it but the elevators could use a deep clean as could the rooms. The breakfast lady was exceptional and her area of work was clean. She was personable. The two front desk people both at arrival and check out clearly don’t like their jobs. The gal at check out was truly the worst. I wanted a printed copy of the receipt. She said her computer wasn’t up yet, It was 7:30 am. She said it would be sent to me via email. I said I could wait til her computer was up. Blank stare was all I got back. I asked if they had a printer…she simply didn’t want to do her job. Lazy! It’s close to the airport and breakfast was great as stated before. Too bad the nice breakfast gal has to work with the lame staff!

In a nutshell... we've been staying here for 10 years anytime we have to fly out of San Antonio Airport. It used to be so nice! And while the location is still great, the rooms have become outdated and not as clean. The bathrooms have been dirty (hair, toilets, etc.) the last 3X we've been here. The rooms have smelled musty. It's nowhere near as nice and clean as it used to be. Our family is at the point where we'd rather pay the extra money for a clean room/bathroom before flying out early the next morning than to continue to stay here.

Booked four rooms and 2 out of the 4 were dirty. One had mold, but we let the front desk know and they immediately moved us to another room. The other room was okay but still lacked cleanliness. The breakfast was great and the staff was very nice but the overall hotel needs some upkeep.

Beds were comfy, there was plenty of open space in the 2bed jr suite, staff Steven and Emma were pleasant . Steven tried his best to make things right.

The manager and the general manager was very rude and disrespectful because when I checked into the hotel I let him know it's going to be checking out late I use my Hilton's honors credit card American Express credit card and I also use my Hilton's honors and they told me I would be able to stay until 1:00 when they got there two days later they told me I could not I have to get out of there at 12:30 because of the color of my skin because if I was white they probably wouldn't have did that but I had already had permission prior to 2 days and they said well I might have to check on it but it's too late but they were disrespectful and then they try to band me so I'm going to call a corporate and I'm going to send them a lot of head on how rude and disrespectful and unbecoming of management and manager general manager

It was close to the airport, restaurants, easy access on/off highway, department stores, and gas station. Perfect location, good breakfast, very quiet had peaceful night. That I had to wait till the checkin time. Other hotels have accommodate early arrivals (1pm). When you have a early flight just want to get your room rest a bit, shower and ready to start your visit. My room did not have a refrigerator.

Police officer was very nice but did mention that they had come by night before because of another break in and 19 yr receptions told them she saw someone but didn’t call police. I’m thinking she knows person breaking into these vehicles if she not calling the cops. Will never stay nor recommend this place. Should have security overnight. The receptionist during the day after I checked out. Even though I still had another night there just said it happens often

Beds are hard, carpet smells really old in both of the rooms we were in. Shower in the first room wasn't even working more less the water. Moved to a new room and even though the room was big, the beds were the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE things I had ever slept on! The pull out bed was nothing but springs! Every turn my child made you could hear it on that bed. Would not stay there again! Also the breakfast lady was rude and the food was gross.. I'm a regular at the Hampton inns around the States, this one is now the worst I've ever stayed at from room down to breakfast.

Unfortunately my truck got broken into with its windows broken and damaged my dash board torn apart when trying to get into the locked glove box. The hotel charges parking fee for no reason with no added security. For a 3 night stay happening the first night. Didn’t feel safe after, couldn’t have rest full night thinking my truck would get broken into again. Couldn’t help but think that it common in this hotel or that staff is involved by letting this happen, being that I was parked right in front the main entrance to the front desk. Other than that hotel is average with nothing standing out.

Hotel needs deep clean and touchups. Our room had a ceiling water stain and missing paint multiple places. Floor needed deeper clean. Beds were comfortable but old and fairly creaky. Hallway and elevator area needed just normal vacuuming and cleaning as they were quite dirty. But the hotel was quiet and convenient. Staff was friendly.

It’s an outdated hotel. There were too many strange men hanging around outside around hotel. You need brighter lighting and you need a security officer patrolling regularly. It was an uncomfortable environment.

This place is not safe to stay at if you are driving and parking at the hotel. There is no on site security or safety fence or gates. Multiple break ins on vehicles in the lot. At least 5 recent and 2 the night i stayed there. Truck was parked 3 spots down from door and dosent stop anything. Front desk must have it happen so often they have no response when you tell them. At check-in was told not to leave anything.. ANYTHING visible in vehicle. There is still glass in most parking spaces from windows beong shattered, and dont bother calling the police... they are not showing up.

We absolutely love staying here. Everyone is extremely friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. If you need anything they make sure to help you out. The breakfast selection is absolutely delicious. We went to the pool and had fun but it was really cold. We will most definitely be staying here again our next time in San Antonio. Check in was fast easy and the lady who checked us in was super sweet and informative. I don’t know why I was under the impression the pool was out doors and that they had a hot tub and neither was accurate however that was my fault. There was a sign though at the pool that it was the pool and whirlpool. The pool was freezing so I did not get in my kids still had a good time but I was disappointed. The rooms are not as nice as they appear on line the definitely spent some good money on a photographer and there is no fridge or microwave also a mistake on my side though. Our ac unit was condensing to the floor but we didn’t go over there so not a big deal but our ceiling had a big waterspout from the unit above us so I’m guessing it’s a continuing issue. The room felt very humid and I’m guessing that would be the source. The breakfast was decent. If I wouldn’t have gotten such a low rate I would be more upset but it fulfilled the need and beds were comfy with plenty of pillows. Would stay again at the lower rate.

Hotel looks old and run down. On our second night there was a cockroach in the room. We brought it up to the front desk and they didn’t offer any solutions. We were so tired from all the sigh seeing we stuff or ears with noise stoppers and called it a day. We never went down for breakfast because if there are cockroach’s in the room they are for sure in the kitchen as well. It was a bummer because my kids love hotel breakfast. Never again so disappointed.

I wish I could give it 5 stars overall but our restroom was missing a shower curtain, we finally got one the following morning but we could only get it after housekeeping arrived which wasn't helpful because we had to be up and ready before then as we had a flight earlier that morning. Had another family staying in a room next to us with kids and they were running around and making noise at almost 1am. Check in process was smooth and quick.
