We traveled four hours in from Dallas and when we got in front of the Clarion, we found out it was closed due to arson. We never got contacted by Expedia. We never got contacted by the hotel. It was a mad scramble to get another room. It was all a terrible experience. I don’t know who dropped the ball whether it was Expedia or whether there was a Clarion, but it was a terrible experience

I am on the road about 26 weeks a year, and during those weeks I will stay in hotels about three nights a week. The Clarion was the single best deal I have found in years. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, nice people at the front desk, an actual good breakfast. I would highly recommend this place.

Overall great hotel. Room was fine. Bathroom needs an exhaust fan though. Gets really steamy. Room service was great. Free breakfast was good, did the job.

There was only 1 of 2 working elevators. Only working ice machine on the 3rd floor. There was no working room phone, so hard to reach front desk. Phone number on website not same as in actual hotel. Other then that was okay.

System problems frustrated the check in process which resulted in at least an hour delay checking in and the anxiousness of not knowing whether it would be fixed. I was told that management’s solution was simply have them wait.

Having stayed here numerous times before this visit was surprisingly disappointing. First, when we checked in we were assigned a room with a busted TV, so they reassigned us a room that was not the type we booked (king Sized Bed). This second room smelled like cigarettes (non smoking room btw). Then we returned to the front desk and was told there were not more rooms. Only when I mentioned talking to a manager did they have a third option. Went to this room and it was okay but only gained access after 3 more visits to the front desk because the key reader wasn’t working for guest issued keys. The associate working the desk had to come with a master key to let us in.

Good enough when you need to just lay your head down for a few days. It's an older facility and the amenities that are offered on the website are not functional or are of low quality. For instance the treadmill, which was one of the three main pieces of exercise equipped was not working, and the others were outdated.

The property looks nice from the outside but the inside is a bit dated. There are random people in the hallways too. Seemed a bit odd to see a girl on her phone in the hallway for 3 hours. And another guy on the 4th floor just sitting there. Perhaps they had nowhere to go but seemed a bit odd.

it was not clean, pee on the side of the toilet. nothing was wiped down. my bed was not made, sheets was not changed. the only thing that was done in the room was my trash being taken out. Every night the local police sits around the building and outside the hotel. Never go back there again...

People were walking in and out of the building, the doors are just open 24/7… would not recommend at all staying here.

There was not 1 thing at all to like about it. The room was filthy and I mean filthy! The halls were filthy. The entry door to the back was not locked in fact it didn’t look like it would lock at all. We will never stay at another one again.

My hotel room had a dirty tub with peeling floor and dirty shower head. Mold on the lamp shades, peeling ceiling, leaking pipes under the sink. A sink that backs up. If I were not in sick a rush for military graduation, I would have left for a new one.

If you have the opportunity to stay in this hotel please avoid..the staff is very rude, the advertise free hot breakfast but they didn’t have any on one of the days we stayed and addition the person in charge of the breakfast station had very bad manners. I was charged and extra 60 dlls for room deposit that is not stated on the site . It's already 3 days and waiting for a refund of those 60 dlls I had stayed there before and it was not like that in the first place . Their breakfast is not as it used to be ... They have a set breakfast and it's not worth it .. very disappointed with that.

We were woken up in the middle of the early morning but 2 naked individuals running through the halls yelling for help. When we asked for if we were going to be compensated they said no.

I tried to book for 11/9-11/10 and the site booked from 11/17-11/18 and I didn’t realize it until I had already paid for it. I tried to cancel and got no refund. I booked again for the correct time and adjusted the dates again after I had done it on the search bar. When we got there we had to pay cash for a deposit. Luckily we had cash. We heard so kick noise all night. Sorry hallways. Trash on the floors. Leaking ice machines. The elevator was broken to the first floor. Had to go down the stairs. A long wait like for breakfast. A guy was roasting burn toast for you instead you doing it yourself. We left and asked for the deposit back. Never will come again.

The stairs on the 2nd floor near the back entrance had a bunch of cigarette butt’s that needed to be swept up. There was a spilled coffee stain on the steps in the breakfast area at 6:30am, which leads me to believe that it had been there since at least the day before. I accidentally stepped on a syrup packet and the floor was sticky in that spot hours later. The room was very clean and tidy. The staff wasn’t friendly until after I was friendly first. There was a surprise $60 deposit for incidentals after I paid in full online. I got it back without any problems.

Twice, they tried to get in while I was in the room. The breakfast was not self-service. It was somebody standing there, making food for one person at a time. A hooker tried to claim our room was hers. A police dog should be used on the place, and maybe real people (guests) could stay there and feel safe. I would not go there again. If I could have gotten a refund after the first night and slept in our car, I would have felt safer. Do not book this place for anyone, ever. Bad, just bad.

More than three times, someone tried to get into my room. Once, people who were not staying at the hotel tried to get into my room as I was about to go in. Twice, they tried to get in while I was in the room. The breakfast was not self-service. It was somebody standing there, making food for one person at a time. A hooker tried to claim our room was hers. A police dog should be used on the place, and maybe real people (guests) could stay there and feel safe. I would not go there again. If I could have gotten a refund after the first night and slept in our car, I would have felt safer. Do not book this place for anyone, ever. Bad, just bad.

I liked the fact that the dining hall was spacious and they had adult drinks upon request at the front desk. Rooms are very comfortable but could use some cleaning of the walls, doors, and high moisture areas as mold was seen and chipping paint. Overall, very nice for the price.

During my stay at the property it was being used as a homeless shelter. The parking lot was full of unsavory characters and I’m pretty sure there was a guy dealing drugs out of his room near the back door with people coming and going. The facilities seemed to be in working order everything was roped off and closed probably because of the clientele they were serving. For breakfast they had a buffet set up annd ripped off with an attendant that would serve you, which made us feel like we were prisoners. Our room was missing at least 3 light bulbs, floor boards were falling off and it was generally kinda shabby. The elevators were very dirty and smelled of marijuana most of the time. For the money we payed we could have stayed at a much safer hotel with fully operational facilities and a breakfast service that didn’t make you feel like a prisoner. Really disappointed that we were sold a room at a homeless shelter for our trip at hotel prices.
