Red Roof Inn Austin - Round Rock

The hotel was in the process of getting renovated. I immediately realized it was a shady hotel when I pulled up. The interior smelled like cigarettes and my room was "non-smoking". There was hair on the floor in the bathroom. The place felt like it hadn't been cleaned.

Didn't have laundry done not sure . The property was under maintenance in lobby area. Didn't go to any breakfast Pool was closed

The room was old and worn, but clean and the bed was comfortable. We couldn't get the heater to work and woke up to 37, feels like 32 degree weather; we were a little cold to say the least. I didn't get a lot of sleep because of the traffic noise on I35. No coffee in the room or lobby. The motel is pet friendly and did not charge a pet fee. It was an okay stay.

The trash was not taken out. There were stain on the bed skirt and dirty walls. The back door had no lock attached to the door. There was a hole where the lock once was. Anyone could come in or out. You could also see straight through the window by that door and watch what room they went in.

There was no breakfast, no in room coffee and no lobby coffee at 7:30 am. The flooring in the room was coming up and apart. The floor tile in the bathroom was broke and poorly patched, the vanity sink drained very slow to almost clogged and the shower head flow was very restricted. The counter was not concerned for the guests comfort or concerns.

Location was good. Staff was not friendly or accommodating. Water was dripping constantly on the toilet. So instead of giving us a different room. They gave us access to another room to use the bathroom which had no air and completely inconvenient to say the least. I have never had this kind of experience and have no intention of ever returning.

The room floor was sticky, found spider in bed, and had someone's hair all over the comforter. I slept without covers on the bed because of this situation. The fitted sheet was clean and hairless since I used the flat sheet to remove the comforter and bed spread. The shower was not clean. Slept with light on to check for critters and insects. Didn't get that much sleep. I will not be staying here again. Years ago, Red Roof was a lot better.

The back door on ground floor did not close or lock, room next door had people partying and smoking with loud music until 3:30am when I cancelled all reservations for next 4 nights. No sleep or rest from music and all the people in the next room. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. At the front desk it says non smoking hotel, lie, told front desk and they said they would check into it.

Place should definitely get deep cleaned

Lobby was very dimly lit, there was punch holes in the walls. Pieces of the walls all over were falling apart. My room was dirty and looked like it was not clean, my bed had hurt hair all over it and burn marks in the sheet. And the bathroom looked and smelled mildewy. I checked out immediately after walking into the room and seeing its condition. It’s 2 weeks later and I am still calling them to coordinate my refund with booking.com.

The front desk attendant chased him away. I usually love staying at the red roof south austin but Round Rock did not have the same ementies. No ironing board, my blankets had cirgerette burn holes, and no morning coffee, and my chair/office chair was broken. Just not worth the money i spent on this trip around. I'll be sticking to the south location from now on.

I stayed for 4 nights and it was quiet and peaceful the entite time. Oh and I should mention, the price was great, especially for the quality recieved and much better than most if not all of their competitors in both categories. Ill definitely stay there again. Thanks!

I did not like the hotel as a whole the ceilings are missing tiles, the first room was dirty and had a foul odor. Toilet did not work nor television. I hope they clean up and update hotel.

From there the solution was to get an extra thick blanket to weather the cold weather. Zero recommendations from me

The room was pretty clean but the furniture was outdated. The hallways had a pretty musty smell and the front desk could use a change of decor. Overall, the dtay was comfortable but appearance needs revamping!

When we checked in at 5pm we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our room to be made ready. When we were allowed to go to our room we stepped off the elevator into an entry way that had 3 or 4 bags of trash stacked near the elevator door. We went to our room to change clothes and check the TV - the channel selection was very poor - only a few channels actually came in with a viewable picture and those that did were in Spanish. We then left the room to go to dinner and as my 28 year old son approached the elevator he saw a fairly large rat run across the entry way from the stacked up bags of trash into a room that had an open door. The entire facility was not lit very well and had a musty (dirty) smell to it. Was not a good experience at all - we will not stay there again.

I was there for 30 minutes with my 1 year old daughter. We drove for 16 hours so I was letting her walk around the room to get some energy out. Her feet were completely black after walking around for 10 minutes. We did not stay due to the cleanliness. I could not let my daughter stay in those conditions.

I had to change my room 2 times. 1st room had blood on the outide of the toilet running down to floor, 2nd room absolutely no cold water only hot and no AC, the building and all the rooms smell bad and all sheets were dirty like if they reused from previous customer. I had to use my own sheets. The entire building needs remodeling

Honestly I’d never let my wife stay in that room. No coffee maker in room. Hair dryer base but no hair dryer. Never again. If it wasn’t cheap and I booked the week for a job I would have left.

This was our second one-night stay here in Red Roof Inn Round Rock. Sure, the place is outdated, but our room was clean and comfortable. The wall had a few scuffs here and there, but nothing major, and it looked like it was newer paint (less than a year repaint). Everything in our room worked (tv, lamps, fridge, microwave), and the shower was a lot warmer than another budget hotel in Austin we stayed at the night before. We went back to this hotel in Round Rock because for this price point, the hotel premises was peaceful and safe. Round Rock is a safe peaceful suburb. Inside, there were no druggies nor crazy guests in the hotel; just normal peaceful travelers who want a budget place to stay in. Also, there were no roaches, no bugs in our room. There's a Shell gas station adjacent to the hotel, so it was so convenient to get late night snacks, ice and beverages.

List of mold in the entire room and bathroom. Lots of damaged furniture. Linen was stained. Smells like a lot of water and mold.

For the price it was good. We had been without electricity for three days and needed a night with a warm shower and air conditioning. Our dogs were welcome and that was a bonus…they enjoyed the cool air also.

There was a musky moldy smell throughout the property. The bed had dirty sheets. We left IMMEDIATELY!! The front desk promised to refund the next 2 nights but would have to charge for the arrival night. They never refunded. We are not exceptionally picky, but this place was way too gross. DON'T BOOK!!

No one cleaned the room..The tv didn't work.

A welcoming non-permanent domicile, keep it up y'all!

Dark hall ways, smell of animal urine and smoke, toilet was loud after flushing(high pitch ) , furniture water damaged from fridge and ceiling had mildew. Front desk worker was unavailable for check out. Waited 30mins after ringing bell a few times and asking house keeping . They could not find him. Several guests were in the lobby. Waiting. Will not stay again. Low price ,It was affordable

Amiable staff, quiet and comfortable.

Air conditioner is SUPER LOUD and doesn't cool the room. They had random garbage bags in the hallway on the third floor. The room was a total catfish. Only staying 1 day lesson learned.

Room was clean, but poorly upkept. Bathroom door was missing trim. Grout around shower was dirty. 1 bedside lamp did not work. Room was not serviced for entire length of stay.

This was a horrible, filthy hotel. There were dirty washcloths hanging in the shower and clothes from past guests on the floor. An earring from a past guest was under the sheets and poking through. The blowdryer was shattered and unsafe to use and something gross dripping down the walls in spots. When requested that the room be cleaned and the bed changed multiple times we were told it was done and it never was. I wouldn't wish this hotel on my worst enemy.

Place was dirty and smelled bad. I arrived very late so couldn’t change my reservation. Called down to the front desk to cancel my 2nd night. Front desk told me I would get a refund for my second night. The morning, story changed. Now I am fighting between Hotels.com and hotel to get my refund on a night I didn’t spend there and that I cancelled before penalty. I would never stay here if you like cleanliness

From check in the front desk people were not friendly I had booked non smoking room as soon as we walk in it smelled like cigarettes also hallways look and smell dirty would not recommend to stay there over all 2/10 the first room we got the bathroom was dirty it did not look clean we asked for a different room and it was a little better still very dirty
