with the price you pay -you could get a nicer place somewhere else, I just needed to be in that location for my short visit. Staffs were friendly - older building and feels old and some molds in bathroom, carpet was wet and smelly - I did not say nothing since it was a one night stay. Breakfast was decent. Did not use amenities.

The lobby was hot & the air conditioner in the room was not great. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. The continental breakfast was late getting put out & didn’t get to eat at the hotel.

Was originally booked two nights. On the first night, the elevator did not work. The next morning, the fire alarm went off due to a broken pipe on a different floor. Staff shut down the water, and claimed they could not issue refunds without management approval, who was not available on the weekends. We returned the keys and booked the second night elsewhere. Management was emailed detailing the events and requesting a refund, but never got a response.

How helpful the check in person was but at the end didn't check us in the right way... 4 adults stayed in the room.and he only checked 1 and the check out person (Paddy) charged my card $20 without my authorization stating that I had sneaked in my brother and father when that was not the case. We checked in... was not asked how many people were staying... in small talk informed the check in guy it was going to be my brother, mother ,father and little daughter and he only checked 1 person in. I then went to the car and we 4 adults and my daughter walked in infront of the check in guy and he greeted them and told us to enjoyour stay.. When checking out the check out receptionist (Paddy) charged my card without my authorization and extra $20 for 2 extra adults and accused me of sneaking in 2 extra adults when company policy is 4 adults to a 2 bed room. I asked to talk to the manager and he refused stating that the manager wouldn't be back till Tuesday and Wednesday. I called on Tuesday and he answered and he then said that he was going to be out for vacation for 2 weeks. I called corporate and filed a complaint... they gave me the general managers email and asked me to call back the hotel and ask to talk to tthe manager. I sent the email to the general manager and the front desk manager and followed calling the hotel on Wednesday. Paddy answered and was extremely rude accusing me of sneaking in people and said it was the equivalent to stealing and that that was the reason he charged me $20 extra... which should have not been charged because 4 adults were allowed and that how many were in the room . He then said for me not to call again and to deal directly with corporate and that if i called again he was not going to let me talk to the manager. I feel robbed and extremely disrespected by Paddy. I hope this issue gets resolved and the cameras video and audio be reviewed because the check in guy saw us 4 and my child walk in after he checked us in and failed to report on his end we were 4 adults and one child and failed to ask aswell the number of adults. Paddy failed in reviewing the cameras and was extremely rude and accusatory towards me.

We changed rooms 2 times as the first room had a tv with the corner smashed out, the second room had a big red stair on the floor and smelled like old food. The third room was ok but I will not go back.

The pillows were fine The door was broken, the pull out was useless because you couldn’t pull it out all the way, the breakfast sucked not enough food, and the ice machine was broken. Check in took a very long time and I was just disappointed.

Nothing I left and demanded a refund. The mold, the lack of water in bathrooms, the horrible smells, and the police showing up because of the unsafe conditions of people in the area.

Elevators were out of order the entire weekend. No accommodations were made to move us from the top floor to a more suitable ground level room so we climbed 5 flights of stairs all weekend. No accommodations for moving us to a lower level room when the elevators were out all weekend. They should have called an on call elevator service to repair the elevators for their customers!

My room was okay, but the hotel over all was not that clean. They did not have a vending machine like it states on online. They had all the chips in a bucket.

The toilet and the shower were both broken. I mentioned to the front desk attendant. They apologized but didn’t seem overly bothered.

Peeling wallpaper, flooded carpet in the lobby for 2 days, no a/c in the hallway, leaking toilet and sink, stairwell door propped open, parking lot lights over the entry not working.

Nothing at all Outside property is dirty, it’s dark ,people hang around on the back side. Once you enter the floor seems like they have never sweep or mopped the floor. Tables and chairs are dirty. Something is not right with this hotel. Police have to check for sex trafficking and drugs. My first room was a mess disgusting. Bed made me itch .

This place was not what I thought . I should have walked out and left when I arrived but I was out of town with work . Staff was not friendly. Elevator was down the whole 2 days I fret and stayed there due to I was out of state didn’t know area . Over half of staff couldn’t speak English. I normally don’t give negative reviews but this totally irritated me. The staff stated they only had rooms way on 4th floor per elevator was down. I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with a bad knee . Young guys i asked if they could help which carried my luggage and computers. I’d never made it. I felt stuck due to walking down steps and having to come back up 4 flights . Stayed in room the entire stay . I’m totally irritated . At least be professional and courteous. Comfort Inn in my state was very clean and staff was friendly. This place looked like ghost town. Not that many vehicles at all in the parking lot but sold out other floors . I get it this may be considered extended stay with whatever living there . Totally apolled and stepped down to even stay there. Loud noise of folks arguing all night . I almost just left and threw my luggage down the stairs but I had computer equipment the same night I checked in . Called housekeeper to get me some towels and come get trash . The individual didn’t dump trash . Was horrible. Trash stayed in room the whole time . Totally unsanitary . Dust everywhere in bathroom . I had sanitizer I threw in shower uhhh I’m tired of discussing this nightmare

The room smelled like fresh cigarettes. There were stains on the carpet, on the bed and the lamp. Every single piece of furniture was visibly dirty. The towels that were provided were dirty and had hair on them. We had to go buy our own towels, cleaning supplies and air fresheners. To top it all off, there was a lipstick kiss stain on our door. The stay was absolutely terrible. And will never be back.

I went to my room, no door knob/lock. Next room, no remote and tv didn't work. Next room, tv didn't work. Next room, heat didn't work. Finally 5th try, everything worked. Terrible experience. At 1 point the front desk guy said do you need a tv? Really? What else is there to do in a hotel room? Run don't walk from this place. Wasn't even offered some kind of discount for the repeated inconvenience.

This stay was a nightmare! The elevators didnt work, there were no vending machines & ice machines did not work. Eventually there was no runnin water! Or carport lights, so basically your just paying for a bed to sleep in.

The elevator was broken, cigarette burns in the toilet seat, ashes smeared into the walls everywhere, the whole 4th floor smelled like cigarettes, there was blood on the lamp shade, beer cans and trash in the hallways thrown around, I wouldn’t stay here again. It was quiet over night though.

The elevator was not working and rooms were available only on the 5th floor. We were not informed before checking in about it. Had to climb stairs with luggage. The bedsheet had hole in it. Shampoo bottle was empty in the room. The staff was also not helpful.

The property had several repairs going. The smoke detector in the room was covered up in plastic, there was condensation stains on the ceiling. The towels were poor quality. The gym room was small, and minimal equipment.

Bagels were not fresh, the bread was dried out. The apples available had been there a while. Great choice of coffee creamer but poor quality coffee. The other items unsure of, didn't try.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever been to. No lights in parking making feel like I would get mugged or robbed. Inside of the hotel it looks as if they have never did any touch ups since being opened walls and floors were coming up hotel smelled like weed throughout the halls and once we finally got to our room the tv was broke so he moved us but the options were go to a room that smelled like cigarettes or to a room where the water pressure would make the shower head come off.. so throughout this whole process I would say they need to close down and renovate as well as put some damn lights outside in the parking lot!!!

The girl working the counter was the rudest person I've ever encountered at a hotel. Her attitude was 'Why are you here' I felt like I was not only a burden but like I was definitely not a welcomed guest. I will NEVER!!!!! Return here. The halls were filthy. They left the front door open with access to the stairs. Anyone could walk in. There was a leak so they tried to dry the water with Texas heat. Mold every and in our shower. Bugs killed and stuck to the wall. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at!!!!! 0/10000000!!!!!!!

They do not allow 3rd party refunds. Be prepared when you cant sleep at night when a random person tries to enter your room at 3 am. The elevator is out. The floors were soaked...Management didnt care and let me check out early with no partial refund. If thats what it take to fix the building than take it.... Expedia is trying to give me a 25$ gift card... why would I book through this if the hotel won't honor a proper cancellation.

This was the worse hotel in my life! The person up front was nice I believe Trey he came and got the big bug that was flying in the room. Minutes later another one appeared frm under the bed. I fear bugs so much. I cld not stay and left at midnight and had to search for another hotel. Did not stay the 1st or 2nd night. Tub was nasty old. The smell was pet smell. The entrance had wholes in the ceiling. I demand my money all returned.

The property has several unlisted issues. The swimming pool is unusable due to green algae. There is no air conditioning in the halls or around the facility, and the AC only works properly in the lobby. The air conditioning units in the rooms did not function at all. We had two rooms, and our request to change them was refused by the staff and management. Additionally, the soda machines at breakfast were not working. We attempted to have breakfast three days in a row, but there was no food available other than muffins and bagels.

We loved how quiet the area was. The rooms were nice smelling and super clean. The carpet in front of our original room was soaked with a water leak. The staff changed our rooms immediately to get it fixed. 10/10 would come here again.

When they are at the front, they are on their phone and do not even look up to greet you. The hotel itself was hot in the corridors, but air was felt in the rooms. Nothing is inviting about entering this hotel and it never got better. At one point, both elevators were out of order, but then only one of them was fixed to work. On the third night of our stay there were no towels to use for bathing, only towels to dry off. There was no resolution was given to this matter, nor was one attempted to be figured. The whole building could use an upgrade and customer service training needs to be implemented. I would not recommended this hotel nor would I stay here ever again.

This hotel needs someone with an eye for detail. All of the interior doors look dingy. They need sanding and painting or replacing. The ice machine on the second floor is not working. Our room had an empty facial tissue box. There was only one face cloth. The a/c did not cool well. The refrigerator had a frozen up freezer section, but the frig did not cool our drinks.

Hot water and big soft towels

The hotel looked good from the outside,but get inside the air only worked in the lobby once you passed the lobby it was hot until you made it to your room. Only once ice machine on first floor so if you needed ice you have to go all the way to the first floor to get it. We stayed on the second floor where there was a foul odor by the elevator like you legit had to hold your breathe not to gag. The rooms were okay the air felt real good didn’t like the few stains on the carpet… shower was good. They didn’t have any face towels so you had to use hand towels to bath with and on top of that the pool was not open. It was dirty green and nasty idk what was up with that. Definitely crossing this hotel off the list of stays. We were there for a travel ball tournament.

Mrs. Shaw, went out-of-her-way to accommodate my needs. This is not the Hilton but I slept comfortably because the pillows and mattress lived up to the name, Comfort Inn!

This Comfort Inn located in Plano-Dallas, is easy to find right off of George Bush turnpike with plenty of good parking on the property, a variety of good restaurants and shopping in the area.

Needs some updates. Also a little forewarning of the elevator not working for the past week would have been nice.

Stayed there 5 nights they cleaned my room once. The guy on reception was constantly on his mobile even when speaking to him. Felt sorry for the breakfast lady as she couldn’t keep up with the demand on her own.

#1 check-in time was 4pm. We arrived at 6pm in between games to check in and return to fields. They said they were over booked and didn’t have rooms for us. Manager said she would clean rooms and have them ready for when we returned. #2 the manger called around 8pm and told us our room #s. We returned at 1030pm to be told we had a 1 king room (we reserved a 2 queen) #3 went to our room and it was disgusting. Leftover food, trash, un made beds, toothpaste all over the counter, poop in the toilet. FILTHY # left hotel at 1130pm and had to find another hotel with 2 kids in tow. Still having to shower and return to field next morning. #4 hotel manager still has failed to return calls to myself along with Expedia. They will not process a return either. Worst hotel experience EVER.

Property had a guy doing drums outside that staff was unsure of calling the police, the water went out on one day and we didn’t have hot water when it came back, there were cockroaches in our first room and they moved us to another room juice dispenser at breakfast was only dispensing water, and room was dirty and had food on the floor from prior guests, and finally sheets had stains on them. Staff was nice though.

Overbooked Hotel, I was not able to stay there. Expedia’s answer is they will not make a refund because the hotel does not answer the phone for clarification.

I never did get any of the free breakfast, because it was so crowded in the little food area. Not any place I would recommend!

Visiting from Houston for my son’s football tournament. Our room was not ready until after 5pm because house keeping was not finished with the rooms. We finally were able to check in and our room was a mess. The bedding was gross with stains and hair. There was a patched up hole in the wall. The room smelled like the carpet was wet. We did report it to the front desk and we were able to change rooms. The system to register keys wasn’t working, so we had to get our new key when got back from the game which we missed because of all of the issues. A lady from the cleaning staff walked in the room we complained about and walked out laughing, that was odd. The second room wasn’t the greatest either. The smoke detector was missing, the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned. There was hair in the bathtub, the bathroom floors & walls were gross. Their seems to be a leak under the bath room sink. This was very disappointing to say the least. A refund or discounted rate would’ve sufficed but that didn’t happen. Whoever owns this place apparently does not care about the building or what little is done to keep it up. The pictures online a very misleading. I wouldn’t attempt the breakfast. If things aren’t being properly taken care of in the rooms, I can’t imagine what the kitchen is like. I will say the young lady Ty or Tye that runs the front desk was the sweetest and kept a positive attitude throughout all the chaos and she just started the job.

The front desk ladies were excellent and super friendly. The room was clean and well kept, but the bathroom door was missing a handle and the overall conditions from towels to carpet needs updating. I'd stay there again because of the staff and cleanliness, but the facility itself is not up to par for the area.

Didn't even check in, when coming in there was a customer complaining about her room. Another was complaining of the first TWO rooms that were dirty and decided to leave. In that small time I found out they did not have a maintenance person on site until POSSIBLY Monday and breakfast would not be served. The receptionist was nice but really didn't seem to care. Hotel said it was up to this site to refund and this site said it was up to them. No one ever resolved anything when they stated they should've had some sort of resolution within 48 to 72 hours.

Huge line at front desk. Reeked of smoking in lobby. No hot water. Fire dept attending to some non-emergency situation down the hall when we arrived. Basically total chaos.

The bedding and pillow cases had a lot stains I called the front desk for a different clean set and she came back and gave me bedding full of pubic hairs all over the sheets me and my boyfriend ending up sleeping on the couch using towels to cover ourselves and used the towels to place on the couch

Worst experience ever! No hot water, elevator wasn’t working and had to carry everything I had up to the 4th floor. 1st room smell of urine, 2nd room transfer had no hot water! No hot water my entire stay and they didn’t want to offer a refund.

Room door was nearly off its hinges and required lifting the heavy door to close. There was no hot water during our stay. The WiFi did not apparently reach our room

We stayed here after a family emergency which ended us up at Baylor heart hospital and when we checked in there was NO hot water to shower with the elevators didn’t work so we had to take the stairs which smelled like a bus stations down town covered in urine. The bed was good. The breakfast was trash would never recommend please fix your establishment.

Elevator was out, no hot water!!!

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The elevators were broken, and we were on the 4th floor. The stairwell was grimy, with spilled food on the stairs that did not get cleaned up. The advertised full breakfast was virtually non-existent. Our room did not have enough towels, and no extras other than hand and floor towels were available when we asked (and we had to retrieve them ourselves). One of our rooms had a broken a/c unit, the other one had mold in the bathroom that you could smell when turning on the shower. The carpet was nasty, there were fingerprints all over the microwave, things were not clean. We were supposed to stay two nights, but cancelled the second night because it was so bad. No refund was given for the second night, despite the hotel obviously not being in the condition they advertised. Would give zero stars if I could.

The room needs cosmetic work bad. Room 303 door hard to open and close, carpet needs replaced because multiple parts missing. Also elevator unusable entire stay. Thanks.

Canceled my booking

Been at cheer competition all day we came from out of town! I made it here and we were told that there was on room left but elevators were down and they said I could walk or get a refund! I HAD ALREADY PAID A WEEK IN ADVANCE! We made it at almost 10 and I didn’t have time to search for another room on top of that everything smelt like cigarettes and there was no wash cloths

I'm mainly giving credit to the front desk staff, who were pleasant to deal with. Our room was on the 5th floor. Upon entering the room, it wasn't a clean smell. It smelled like sweat and stale air. The desk lamp was in our condition with frayed wire coverings. The worst part is that the elevator broke Friday and originally they thought maintenance wouldn't be out over the weekend because of overtime rates. We checked out Sunday and elevator was still broken. The front desk did try to switch us to another room on the 2nd floor, but when we checked the room, it smelled like a sweatroom, plus the door got stuck making it difficult to open or close. The hallway smelled like bug spray and urine. Since we had already sprayed our original room with Lysol to make it smell better and cleaned bathroom, we didn't feel like doing it all over again. Sunday we traveled down 5 flights with basically 4 suitcases. We definitely will not be staying at this hotel again.

Room not clean, staff not responsive or courteous. Exterior security door not secure. The free breakfast nonexistent, room was not clean after we came back from a funeral. Towels were not replaced. Staff did not bring replacement towels after we asked. Coffee containers empty. In 50 plus years of staying in hotels I have never booked a worse hotel. The very worst hotel experience. I strongly recommend that no one book a room at Comfort Inn in Plano, Texas on Old Shepherd Road.

A very disturbing experience. Hotel didn’t feel like a Hotel. We tried 3 different rooms due to unworkable features, i.e. TV, heat etc. Rooms were dirty and smelly. Due to no refund given, we cleaned our own room. No decent Breakfast offered…the only thing that made sense was the waffle maker. The location really needs to be inspected!! Please Please address the needs, I believe the workers need their jobs but it’s hard not to complain about anything. In all my years I never experienced anything like it. It was disappointing & disgusting!

Cleanliness of this hotel is not good. WiFi is severely lacking in speed with sometimes no connection at all. Breakfast was a hit or miss. Some days they have it some days all you can get is a waffle and toast. I was shocked it was rated this high. I would rate this hotel a 4.0.

This place was beyond expectations. Big king size bed with a clean bed. Large tv. Channels are limited.
