NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL! It’s so filthy & run down. Thank God I had my daughter get the key before we arrived. They had booked us in a room under construction & stinky from bad mildew. They gave us another room which smelled as if it was flooded, so much mildew. I booked 2 double beds & ended up with a queen & pullout couch. Both were lumpy. The second night at 1:30 am I discovered the door lock malfunctioned & it never engaged to lock the door. We moved to second floor. This room wasn’t much better. Then I woke up itching like crazy on the pullout. I complained. They recleaned the bed. The toilet kept plugging up with just water in it. I think this place should be shut down immediately! I spent my last bit of savings to stay in a hotel that came recommended but obviously management hasn’t taken care of it at all. One elevator broken & other one smelled like poop. No continental breakfast as advertised. I could go on but you get my point. I felt trapped with no $$ to go anywhere else. Never again. 5/22/26

Found roaches in my room, they offered a “nicer” room. I found roaches in there as well and at that point they refunded my money and I left.

The shower was disgusting. I took a picture of it and showed it to the manager (he said that his name was Alexis, but he didn’t have on a name tag, so I am not sure that was his name). I told him that it looks like mold, he was more concerned with trying to defend that it wasn’t mold. It looked like mold to me and I have the pic to prove it. If it wasn’t mold, it should never have gotten dirty enough to look like mold

The initial room we received was a mess. It should not have been rented in the condition it was in. We were moved to a second room, which clearly had been renovated. Still the chair was damaged as it leaned when we sat on it. The overall property needs to be renovated as well. The carpet is fairly shabby and the walls needing painting.

The location and the sheets Place needs to be remodeled. I was there for emergency with a family member. The experience was embarrassing... The tiles in the bathroom were cracked everywhere including the counter tops rust on the tub. I refused to shower there. Smelled like cigarettes all over there

The property was not in good conditions. Bugs where coming out, rust in the tub area, poor internet service, receptionist was never at the front. Transferred to a newer renovated room and yhe toilet would not flush. No maintenance available.

Usually, I don’t leave reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience because of the terrible condition of this facility. If possible, I would rate it lower than one star. The infrastructure is outdated, the carpets are old and dirty, and the entire place clearly needs significant maintenance. I noticed a lot of patchwork throughout the property. Overall, it’s not worth the price at all.

Great for my dog to stay! The heater wouldn’t work and I was freezing all night. The room had boogers Stuck on the wall as I laid my head down on the bed I noticed it. Then a bug crawled up the wall. The smell of pot was overwhelming. There seemed to be homeless people living in th lobby and outside.

The service was phenomenal they understood that they checked me into a moldy water damage room that was never taken out of service but they quickly moved me to another room that was much much better however that evening the roaches dozens of roaches came out and we're all over everywhere. I couldn't sleep because they were crawling all over the bed so I ended up checking out sometime after 2:00 a.m.

The fire alarm went off at 3am. No staff on site to handle it. Paid the deposit and going on month 2 and still haven't been reimbursed. Called several times to get it reimbursed and I'm either hung up on or told they will look into it and call me back. Haven't received a call from them. There were also dried blood stains on the sheets. I told the front desk about it and they just waved it off like it was no big deal.

The shower wall was cracked and poorly “fixed” with silicone. When I turned the water on it came out brown before clearing up. The room was suppose to be Double Queen but the beds seemed smaller and there was only 2 towels for 4 people. I wish I had photos but we decided to spent as much time out the hotel to reduce our frustration with the conditions.

Decent stay, although upgrades are definitely needed as you can tell it’s dated. A/C units don’t get fully cold in the rooms which is definitely an issue in Texas where th summer months approaching

Hotel itself was fine, a little disappointed that I was double charged. The lady at the front desk told me someone would call me same day as the GM was there & he was going to make it right. I never received a call or email regarding this.

There were roaches in the kitchen. Rust throughout the bathroom. This felt like an extended stay, lots of ling term families staying on the property. There was a strong smell of Marijuana in the parking lot.

There was a LaQuinta across the road that he managed. When I asked about getting a room there, manager told the clerk it was a different booking system so he couldn't transfer my reservation. He made no attempt to help me find a suitable hotel. I really didn't want to stay at another facility this person managed but wanted to see if he'd do anything. He didn't even apologize for having roaches in room or for inconvenience if having to find a new hotel at 9 pm. I did get a refund which he said zi would get immediately but it took about four or five days to go back toy bank account. This place is a no go. I found a Sparks by Hilton nearby and the staff there went above and beyond everyday.

This hotel smelled so bad that I had to go purchase Vick's Vapor rub to put in my nose so I could sleep through the night. We had a two night stay but left the next morning. A refund would be deserved but I don't think I will see it.

There was a bad sewage smell in my room also seen a few roaches in my room and the front door lock did not work, told the front desk no one came by to fix it.

I’m astounded as Candlewood suite hotels are generally nice. This one reeked of mildew and all of my things in my suitcase smell of mildew. There was no staff to be located between 6-715 am when I went to the front desk.a sign was posted that stepped out and would be back shortly. Later in the day, I asked the clerk about where was staff and she said her manager left early and she couldn’t come in on time leaving the hotel without any staff during that time, especially at the Front desk where someone should be at all times for security of the hotel. Then I was trying to rest in my hotel room and housekeeping barged in without even knocking where there was no reason to even be in my room as the sign says they only clean weekly and I just checked in that day. Then the next day my room card didn’t work so I had to go down to get that fixed. Total disaster stay. I definitely won’t be back.

I had a clogged toilet and asked the front desk clerk on Saturday morning for a plunger and she said she couldn’t Leave the desk to go upstairs and get it. Came back in the afternoon the bathroom still wasn’t fixed and the young lady on duty in the afternoon provided me with plunger. I’m paying for the hotel and fixing the toilet like I’m an employee. Don’t I’ve ever experienced that before.

I think the room was as clean as it could be, but the floor was cracked in places and the carpet was torn. The bed was comfortable, however, had I found the roach when I got there instead of when I was leaving I wouldn't have bothered to find out. It was an easy check in and an easy check out. I just don't do bugs.

Great location. However the room was not in the best of shape. No one came to clean the rooms. You had to bring the dirty laundry(towels)to the front desk downstairs to get some clean laundry. I thought that was a bit weird. Dirty carpet, and the bathroom was atrocious.

Never try to book this hotel, the outside is amazing however the interior is terrible. The carpet and the entire premise is really dirty and a funny smell. Never try to book this hotel, the outside is amazing however the interior is terrible. The carpet and the entire premise is really dirty and a funny smell. There was throw up all over the side of the refrigerator the ice machine didn’t work and the bathroom shower was broken the lock on the bathroom didn’t work and the beds were hard as concrete

The rooms and carpet are dirty. The beds are very uncomfortable and sunk down. Toilet did not work, leaking, and noisy.

I had to keep shaking the toilet knob to stop it form constantly running and there was a bad smell in the room like mold or urine.

Overall the stay at Candlewood was a complete disaster and I've stayed at Candlewood suites before and have been exceptionally happy with my stay. Got a refund for remaining portion of stay and was moved over to LaQuenta inn across the street, but that was marginally better (no hot water, standard handicap room with king bed. I would love to discuss this with a Hotels.com representative. I have pictures of the condition, but this app is not allowing my to upload.

Customer service was great! Room was severely outdated. Water stain took up at least 75% of the carpet which caused the room to have a heavy mildew smell. TV was even the smallest; 24” and there was no clasp on the door to help secure it!!!!

I immediately checked out of the hotel! Markings and stains on the walls, furniture with very noticeable signs of wear and tear, and the bathroom was a complete disaster! I’m sure every room is not like the one I was assigned but beware. The rooms have plenty of space and when it was new you can tell this was a beautiful hotel but it’s obvious they have an unskilled maintenance team to keep up with normal wear and tear.

Do not recommend. The chair in the room was way broken and everything needs to be renovated. I wouldn’t stay here again for free.

The hotel hallways and room smelled of marijuana and mold. The bed linen had urine and blood stains on the sheets and pillow cases. The carpet was filthy and completely brown and black. The bedroom and bathroom walls had holes in them. There was mold on the sink handles. The bathroom faucet did not work. The shower had rust and hair from previous guests. There was urine on the toilet. The shower walls were coming undone.

The shower wall was broken the carpet was ripped up. There was not any bed linen for the let out bed i call to thr front desk for some they stated they would bring some. No one came with any I went do in the morning telling them again about the bed linen staff stated tey will try and see if they can get some or see if they had any. I still didn't get any linen. I had to take some linen off the bed in the room to share with my son for the let out bed

Do NOT stay here if you are a clean freak. The shower walls were caving in. We had roaches on and under our bed. Our furniture was broken. The whole Hotel reeked of chemicals like a crime scene and was so hot in there. Humid at the worst in the Texas heat. We were told breakfast and there was none. Definitely will not be staying here again.

Stay was wonderful only suggestion would be get a better air flow in the hall ways

We got a key to another room and the hallway is as warm and smelled like mildew. Jennifer the receptionist was great but the condition of the hotel was not.

Very Convenient and reasonably priced!

This was the filthiest Candlewood i have ever stayed in. After being in the room only a few minutes i killed 4 roaches. Thus place needs to be fumigated ASAP.

My aunt stated that the staff lued on several occasions about cleaning thencarpert and thenroom she would get. The room was also not up to her standards of cleanliness.

This hotel smells bad from the very begining.. The fron desk took $25 deposit on my debit card, and said they will refund at check out.. The bitter lady on the morning said they do not refund any that Hotels. com must do it.. So I am still waing to someone refund my money.. I feel they sltolen .. I will said if the people are not happy working there they wont be there find a JOB that you really like.
