    We arrived at the hotel to find it was practically empty with no pool, no gym, etc. due to renovations. I’m disappointed that hotels.com doesn’t inform their customers of such situations. We could have stayed elsewhere through Hotels, if we had known.

    The lounge in the front at reception looked nice. It started with the front desk host. We arrived around 4:00 pm .She was not at all pleasant. We were “upgraded” due to the room we originally booked not being available due to maintenance. We walk to the elevator and enter where the floor to the elevator was peeling and broken. The doors open to our floor and it was stifling hot. We enter the room and the room seems fine. I walk over to turn the AC on and I scratch my leg on the bed frame that has been cut and was sharp. The carpet was separated from the flooring causing a huge tripping issue. We were there for an emergency family issue so we had to leave and go deal with that. When we came back, around 7:00-7:30, we went up to our room for the night. We lay down on the bed to get some rest and it was hard as a rock. Pillows weren’t much better. We made the decision not to stay bc it was terrible. We literally left and checked out around 8:30. The front desk lady didn’t ask house our stay was or if we needed anything (I think she knew). As we are checking out, the host asked to to stay there so we could go inspect our room. I have never in my life had a host do that. I understand they check the rooms but to hold a guest up when there is a Carson file seems a bit much. Of course there was nothing wrong with the room when she inspected it. She was overall pretty unpleasant. I was so disappointed and angry bc the reviews are pretty good for this place. I’m wondering how many of those reviews are true. There wasn’t even a name on the outside of the hotel. I understand remodeling but this was terrible.

    It would have been fine. But they didn't tell us that the pool was closed for renovations until they already took my deposit and I checked in. And it was going to be closed the entire stay which was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel and it was too late to find something else in the area.

    I pulled up to what I thought was an abandoned building. There was no signage, no cars in the parking lot. I thought I got scammed, but I went in and found that they were under construction. There was no air conditioning in the hallways, elevator and dining room with temps in the 90s and feel like temps in triple digits. The pool was closed the exercise room was closed. The microwave in the room didn’t work. There was no internet. The listing said it was 30 min from Galveston it was actually 49 min away. I went on vacation with my granddaughters and was looking forward to swimming in the pool and going to the beach. Also, in your website it stated that what you see is what you pay, but I had to pay an additional $150 deposit. I was told when I checked out that it would be refunded, but I’m still waiting on that to happen. I will never use Hotels.com or stay at another LaQuinta again.

    It’s like most hotels. It’s a bit run down the tub has scraps in it with a reddish brown hue and the ceiling has 3 red circle stains. Looks like they were fixing the front entrance so the rooms might be next. But overall a good room and what I needed. The cleaning staff was friendly the front was a bit more business.

    I usually do not write bad reviews, but this was bad. The room had a horrible smell, the carpet was wet because air conditioner leaked. We were told to put towels down. Bath room tiles grout was loose and tiles moved. Pool and hot tub closed, one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Ice machine did not work. Curtains were dirty. We paid for late check out at 1, but at 10:45 they were knocking at our door to leave. We reminded them about 1 check out and then they came back at 11 to remind us to check out at 11. We told them again we paid for late check out. We left right after that or I’m sure we would have had our door knocked on again. Hotel was under renovations and elevator was scary. However staff was very nice and apologetic about things not working correctly.

    Easy to get there Breakfast selections was okay Couldn't get the disabled room, which I had booked, so my disabled husband couldn't get a shower. The room we got was very humid and worn out. In the morning I saw there was mold on the furniture!! When I pointed out this to the staff, I was just told that they had started renovations?? What good did that do to our stay?? The water in the shower took 5 min to get hot. Aircon was very loud and ran all night. I have stayed at 2 star motels that were better than this...

    The property had a skunk like smell in the hallways leading up to my room. The smell was also at the entrance area of my room. Towels given at front desk were dirty. The restroom in my room was not very clean. It was a good price compared to others in the area. But I would rather pay more for cleanliness and pleasant smells.

    The fake blonde in the front desk was rude and dismissive of me. Did not want to help me till her shift at 3 was over. Blames her manager for everything. Queen beds were small and uncomfortable, hairdryer started smoking. Pool was closed all weekend. Everything outdated.I will never go back. And i will let everyone know of my experience there

    1. Key card did not work, front office associate told she will replace it and never did it. 2. cockroaches in the room and bathroom. 3. When we requested for extra bath towels, associate handed us hand towels. 4. While breakfast time is until 9 AM, hashbrowns were finished by 8:15AM but never refilled even when asked. Yogurt finished by 8:30, no refill. Front desk associate/kitchen staff answers really rude/rash.

    Location was perfect Facility was being remodeled so it was very hot and humid in the hotel. Swimming pool was not open the entire stay, gym wasn’t even open as well. I was not happy with my stay, website does not say they are being remodeled or their amenities were available and I spent $600 to stay there. I would have canceled but I felt sorry for the hotel because the first day a lot of people were canceling their booking. The staff was blaming Booking.com for putting them on their website, I don’t know if I believe that, not ever had an issue with any of my bookings until this last time.

    My experience was only ok. The bed was hard and the mattress was all worn out. I could feel that coils through the mattress and the top blanket was worn out as well. Breakfast wasn't good. I've had better fake eggs from a gas station. The bacon, you could twirl it with a fork like you do spaghetti. My bagel was much more delicious. Breakfast on the second day wasn't any better. The omlet of course no salt and it had an awful flavor. The ham and bread again were once again the best part. Housekeeper did a half ass job in cleaning the restroom. She didn't mop the restroom. Although staff was friendly my stay overall has to be the worst of all my stays at La Quinta hotels. I have stayed at this hotel in previous years and never had an issue with it untl now. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The one thing I was so taken back on was what seemed to be a do it yourself project for an area by the elevator. I will send you a picture with this review. It was so ugly...

    The location was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was good. But the quality of the food was not. Bread was hard as if warmed over. Looks like they were renovating some of the work in the room looked incomplete. The hot tub was broken. That being said it was clean and the location was excellent.

    Our room had clumps of black hair in the beds, 2 bathroom towels and on the floor. Like it had been pulled out of someones head. Not just from a brush. There were chewed up sunflower seeds by the bed and the soap bottles were nearly empty. We were in town for a funeral and mentally/physically exhausted. I tried talking with the staff and they couldn't have cared any less. It was unacceptable but I literally didnt have it in me to argue with the lady. So i cleaned the room so we could stay the night. But i will not stay again.

    The carpet in room 125 is really wet by the window and bed as if water is seeping in from outside or if the water has been leaking for a while from the AC unit. The ceiling has mold the walls are scraped up and had a red blood looking stain on the wall that's next the the bed closest to the restroom. The tub drain is clogged. The front desk was unattended often.

    The best I can say about this property is that is conveniently located from the Sam Houston tollway. The place is old, dirty and rundown both inside and out. The front desk clerk on duty when I checked in was surly and disdainful. I was made to complete paperwork, even though the room was reserved and paid for before I arrived. When I asked for the reason for this step, I was dismissively told that "it's our policy" with no further explanation. The property interior has an unpleasant, musty odor and the carpets are filthy. I realize that as a "value priced" hotel, one can't expect luxury, but as a chain hotel, one should be able to expect courtesy and cleanliness. We will not stay here again.

    Our stay at this La Quinta was subpar. We have a family of 4 with 2 children. The owners should definitely invest in upgrades and maintenance issues. Lots of rotting and broken parts in the bathroom. The rubber doorway strip was half way off and my child tripped and fell over. There was a loose tile in the kitchen area that moved and shifted every time we walked over it. There were many stains on different parts of the room (obvious and disgusting stains). The refrigerator takes about 8-10 hours to cool. The bathroom sink was barely holding on to the wall. There were so many things wrong.

    Stayed with my wife and 2 small children. Safe, easy access to local attractions. Breakfast was basic. Minor details in appearance, but looks like they are remodeling it. Staff was great. Can't complain you get what you pay for, but overall great value!

    There was hair on the pillows and in the bathtub. They also charge an insane amount for incidentals. There was alot of damage to the bathroom door. Overall it was horrible but I dont think I will be staying there again

    The staff was very friendly and helpful, but there was commotion going on and about 10 cops on location due to the commotion with other guest made me very uncomfortable due to the type of commotion going on

    This is my second time to stay here. Everything was comfortable, but the bed was extra comfortable. The staff has been very nice, except the manager is kind of cold. She's just not very friendly. And given that the hotel is not in a very busy area, I'm not quite sure why we couldn't get an hour late check out.

    Overall the hotel kept us comfy. It is a bit outdated, but I knew it wasn't a 5 star hotel when I booked it. Elevator was out, but things like this happen. Could use a very deep clean through out the hotel, including walls, carpet cleaning, caulking, etc. House keeping staff and front desk staff were great!! Good location with lots of food/shopping close by

    The check in clerk was amazing! Helped us in every way possible. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The elevator was out of order so thankfully we were able to get a room on the first floor.

    Only because I wasn’t able to give a half star.. even that is too much. Worst place anyone could stay at. Place should shut the doors indefinitely. Very unprofessional workers.. that should’ve been the first sign of staying in a garbage place.

    It was great but the hot water was hard to find the spot in the shower that made it hot the handle would go all the way around. The room and staff was excellent.

    Checking in and out was ok. The service people were nice. The room itself was a bit off. We had to tighten the bolts on the toilet seat because it was loose. The shower drain wouldn't stay open. The mattress had a slant to it. The head region was lower than the foot region so I put my head at the foot area and slept that way. A little upkeep with the paint would be nice. The price was ok and the area worked well for us

    Oh let's see I am in the executive suite. couch is so warm and dirty I would not sit on let alone sleep. Since I have found bed bugs in my bed!!!! Then before I could complain about the room I get ill with COVID the Manager tells staff they can leave food I buy from them and towels 9nce only ...so I leave with a mask n95 for food and am embarrassed and yelled at before staff and others do u have it or not quarantine is 3 days. No one told that the 3vtimes I spoke to her staff. I tried to explain and she said she didn't understand and walked off. Do not book here...drain terrible water pressure terrible dirty I have been in room 3days have not heard a vacuum. No mattress covers. Broken window. I would have left next day if I had not gotten ill.
