Toyoko Inn Osaka Temmabashi Otemae

The soundproofing in the room is rather poor. I heard strange noises early this morning.

An all-around very pleasant experience with super friendly staff, convenient facilities including a washing machine and dryer, plus nicely sized rooms. I travelled alone with two big suitcases and had enough room to move around comfortably. Also, there's a convenience store right around the corner, and it's close to Osaka Castle. The hotel isn't that close to any metro stations, but it's still manageable. Just be prepared to walk a bit, and to carry your suitcases up and down stairs.

The floor I was staying on smelled horrible. Maybe the smoking floor was right below or something, but it made my stay very unpleasant. Also the mattress was super uncomfortable.

Breakfast is included, it’s good and filling. Everything is very clean.

GREAT HOTEL! Nestled in a quiet area, away from the city's hustle and bustle, this hotel is an ideal base for a vacation in Osaka and nearby cities. The subway stations are within a 5-15 minute walk (purple, green, and red lines). For the shortest walk, take the purple line and get off at T22 Temmabashi. It’s about a 20-minute walk from Osaka Castle, and in the hotel’s surroundings, you’ll find plenty of restaurants of various types and convenience stores (konbini). There’s a designated smoking area just a short walk from the hotel. As for the hotel itself and its services: - The staff is incredibly kind and highly responsive. - Excellent breakfast buffet (mostly savory), with a variety of options that change daily. - Great Wi-Fi. - Washing machines and dryers are available, but no laundry service. - The room we stayed in wasn’t huge, but it was comfortable and functional. If I ever return to Osaka, I’d gladly stay here again!

Staff very helpful. Breakfast was good. Checking in was a problem as I had to check in one room at a time using machine. Need to improve. Booking. Com stated address of your hotel has an error. It states Ote-dori1-4-15. The 1 is connected to the word dori and I could not use it well for Google map, and could not use it when booking hotel to airport transfer.

Very nice staff English speaking kind and understanding. Lovely Japanese breakfast all you may need in Osaka Hotel was great just further from city centre.

Metro station within 2-3 minute walk and Osaka castle within 10 minutes. Quiet area with many nearby options for food

The place was great, staff was helpful Breakfast were OK. Location is a bit far from metro station but walkable distance, near Osaka Castle. I was disappointed that I couldn’t get an invoice from my stay. The price is a bit expensive.

The humidifier in the room was busted. That's about it.

It was conveniently located for my work trip. There's a nice little Mexican restaurant 3 minutes walk away (called La Fonda). The hotel staff was friendly, and did their jobs well. I have stayed at the Toyoko Inn in Kanayama, Nagoya, which was much better. This room at the Otemae, Osaka location was much older than in Kanayama, and there weren't as many outlets for charging, plus the USB port next to the bed was non-functional. Breakfast was a bit strange. 1st mornings, dry bread (no butter/jam available) tamagoyaki which was OK, no meat of any kind, mayonnaise pasta, and soup. The second day there were little sausages, but no eggs, plus the other things like day one. The third day was scrambled eggs, but no meat, and some strange mini okonimiyaki type stuff. Weird combinations as if decided by random. The Kanayama location is much better, newer, more outlets, and a much bigger variety of food choices at breakfast.

The room was spacious. The water flow was strong. Room was clean and there are so many outlets available. Elevator was quick too (not much wait time, which was awesome) Clean water is available in the lobby. Staff are friendly. Amenities: There aren't any instant coffees, nor are there any spoons to mix the drinks. Room: No safe box. There's only one cup for warm and cold water. The mirror in the toilet fogs during bath. Location: It's quite a walk to the station. At night there are close convenience stores but not much restaurants to eat at. Service: Coffee service ends at 10am. (I'd at least appreciate an instant coffee option to bring up to my room)

The beds were unexpectedly firm. We weren't used to that.
