Smart TV didn’t work

I was in room 122. It was dark with an unusual smell. Thankfully I always travel with room fresher. There was mold in the bathroom on the tub and tub wall. I was unable to open the curtain to let in sun light. My daughter, who stayed in room 226, curtain fell completely down and the guy on duty each night said there was nothing he could do about it. My niece who was roomed next to me had to have her room changed at 2am due to mice running around. As for the breakfast, they offered pre cooked frozen link sausages, stale bread for toast, stale bagels, extra thick milk for cereal, waffles that had an after taste, watered down apple and orange juice. I had found a breakfast spot to go to for my duration. There was not an elevator so luggage had to be dragged up the stairs. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The room is in need of deep cleaning and repairs. The bottoms of our feet were dirty after walking around the room. The faucet is functional but very loose. The toilet seat was only half attached. The towel hook on the back of the bathroom door was nearly falling out. The bed was nice. The room was a place to sleep which is what we needed, but much more attention is needed regarding cleaning and basic maintenance.

The only ice machine that worked in the hotel was by me luckily. Some vending machines if they had them didn’t work. The hallways are out of date, the pool looked dirty. The doors did not lock going in and out of the building. A homeless guy walked right in. Breakfast wasn’t that spectacular.

I have stayed at La Quintas before and they are normally a solid medium range choice. But this hotel was nowhere close!! The tv was hung crooked, as was the shelf in the closet. The bathroom was so gross that I made them come back up and clean it before I would shower. There was dirt and hairs in the shower. Even after she cleaned again, I pointed out places she missed. The whole bathroom looked like a DIY project by amateurs. The paint job was sloppy, There was a large hole in the tub above the drain, the finish of the tiles was wrinkled and the wall above the toilet had gross white water stains. There was no hair dryer. The lamp and electrical outlet on one side of the bed did not work. I cannot recommend this hotel and would never stay there again!

air conditioner smelled of mildew or mold no visits from cleaning staff for fresh linens or towels

Lacking cleanliness. Under staffed
-
Our “non-smoking” room smelled like weed and mold. When we tried to leave as we could not stand the smell, there was nobody at the front desk. The refund request has been denied by La Quinta.

Staff, bed. Bathroom cleanliness was questionable.

Let me preface this review by saying we happened to travel to Omaha the weekend of the College World Series. All of the chains I would normally have stayed at doubled and tripled their nightly rates. I have stayed at LaQuintas before, but this one was sorely lacking. Multiple ice machines broken, keycard building door broken, no tub stopper, tv remote didn't work, filthy shower curtain, AC was loud as hell. The mattresses were comfortable and breakfast was same as everywhere else and pretty good. The location was fine but not great. This was a really loud hotel. It was a really old LaQuinta but it has not been maintained well or updated. Staff was nice at the front desk.

It was a good location for us and the breakfast was appreciated. The carpets weren’t the cleanest.

Check in was horrible. The agent acted like he didn’t want us there. Saying 3 of our cards were declined when that could not have been possible. We were accused of overflowing the coffee maker when we were the ones who tried to stop it and clean it up and we were the ones who told them it was overflowing while other guests watched it run all over the floor. They charged the wrong card for the rooms when they were told to change the card at check in… not a good experience at all.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to spend the entire night. I booked a king bed on the first floor with my pets and found the most disgusting infestation of bed bugs on the couches, and the beds. I packed as quickly as I could and brought physical evidence of the bugs to the front desk, where they did not seem surprised. Took some constant phone calls to get a refund. Be wary and be sure to check every piece of furniture in the room.

Worst experience we've ever had with a hotel. Will not be using booking.com again. The room was disgusting. The building should be condemned
