Everything-gorgeous, interesting historical building so well kept up. Beautiful setting. An oasis in a difficult city. 0

great views.

The view is very nice Was hot in the room (we try to turn on air conditioning, but without success, maybe it was our fault)

The building itself is fascinating, having original monastery foundations. The hotel was spacious and the view from the breakfast area is spectacular - a panoramic view over Naples harbour. The staff were very kind an dattentive. Coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been good.
-
The outdoor dining facilities and the pool/lounge area are spectacular. The food was unexceptional. The whirlpool aside the pool was out of commission - and dirty. Our initial encounter with reception at approximately 9am was less than welcoming.

The wonderful and varied art collection throughout the many interesting halls, corridors and unexpected locations throughout the very old former convent/monastery. The views from the dining patio and the from the beautiful and spacious gardens overlooking the city were photogenic. It's a lovely place to loll away a leisurely day without the hubbub of the very busy, noisy, and traffic of a hectic city. Our initial greeting at 9am was less than welcoming or accommodating. We dined one evening at the hotel restaurant and that was more than enough. The food was mostly very disappointing. Four of us had different meals, ranging from acceptable to almost inedible. They need a new chef. The breakfast was satisfactory and varied enough. The whirlpool off of the pool area was empty and inoperative and very dirty. It made using the shower there unpleasant.

Location is great you can walk down to the buzzing areas and the view from the property is amazing More cups available at breakfast

Wonderful view of the bay w Vesuvio, nicely appointed and large rooms

Newly renovated room

The view from the room was to die for! The whole city, the gulf, the harbour - all with Vesuvius in the background. Awesome rooftop views, the pool was closed from October 1st. The room needs a fresh paint, some walls were dirty. Breakfast not good, very limited. The hotel is not very easy to reach from the historic center, you need taxis - not easy to find for return and always overcharging.

It’s history. Views were spectacular, dining was very good Room smell. No hot water for morning showers. Location not great for touring the city.

Location I am very disappointed with the level of service at Hotel San Francesco in Naples. • The bath towels were not changed. Instead, housekeeping just folded my used hair towel and hung it again, even though it was still wet. When I called the reception, they sent someone to the room who told me: “We don’t have towels now; we’ll bring one tomorrow.” This is unacceptable — a used towel should be replaced with a clean one. • I shaved my beard two days ago, and until now the bathroom floor has not been cleaned; hair remains on the floor. • Overall, the cleanliness and service quality are poor. • The breakfast was extremely limited — one of the smallest and most disappointing buffets I have ever seen in all my travels. When I asked for fried eggs, I was told it would cost an extra €6. For a hotel at this price, this is unacceptable. I have traveled widely and stayed in many hotels booked through Booking.com, but this was one of the worst service and cleanliness experiences I’ve had. For the price paid, I would rate this hotel’s service as poor to very poor.

Not a good value compared to similiar places. Maybe it was just timing for the higher than expected price? The linens were very nice but the bed was stiff. The finishing touches were very rough and sloppy in the room for such a stately looking bldg. I recommend they improve it, even though just cosmetic.

The view was spectacular. The pool was nice with a great view. The room and facilities was not clean and not a 4 star standard. Mold in bathroom shower made us relocate to a different room. Rooftop bar and pool area is not accessible if there is a wedding and there was a wedding every night of my stay. They won’t bring water to your room.

The views from the hotel were gorgeous The outlet next to the bed kept cutting in and out. Loose wire

Reception staff were helpful, room and building itself were pretty nice. The outdoor spaces including the pool area were very quiet and relaxing. The outdoor bar and restaurant was a huge letdown. Staff were uninterested and hard to flag down and always seemed to be indoors. They would drop a menu and not come back, to the point where we just left. Terrible service that completely ruined what should have been one of the best parts of the hotel. The breakfast was pretty basic, and again, staff would disappear into the kitchen and it was hard to even get a coffee. (breakfast only had some nasty instant coffee)

No issues

The room, ambience, staff, facilities and food were superb. A brilliant hotel with so many secrets to explote - other reviews suggeting the place is a labyrinthe were not exaggerated! Breakfast was a little basic and repetative perhaps but thats being pedantic in truth
