The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry By Hilton

The hotel and the pool areas were great!! You should not advertise putt putt!!! The putt putt course was terrible and wasn’t even playable! It is in terrible shape, all the grass/ carpet torn and coming up,stagnant water and hardly any light for evening/night time play!

Pools were beautiful, staff friendly, great selection of food and beverage choices! Bartender Jeff was fabulous! Will be back!

The waterpark (slides, pool, kiddie pool) area was wonderful! Very family friendly. Staff was kind. We loved the pier as well. Had a flatbread from the restaurant that was great. The only thing we noticed was the walls were thin. We could easily hear our neighbors who were not loud people. Definitely a disappointment considering how expensive it is to stay here. But overall we loved it.

So far the best resort we’ve been too. I loved it and we had so much fun. I can’t wait to go back.

Great service nice resort all around

Our biggest disappointment was the room quality. While it appeared to have been renovated, the work felt rushed and cheaply executed. The tile work and finishes looked sloppy, and overall it seemed like the room received a quick cosmetic update rather than a true high-quality renovation. It simply did not have the feel or attention to detail we expect from a Hilton property. The king bed was also extremely uncomfortable and left us waking up with back pain each morning, resulting in some of the worst sleep we’ve had on vacation. We chose this property expecting a premium experience based on the Hilton name and pricing, but the room itself fell well short of those expectations. While the location is great, the overall quality and comfort did not justify the price we paid.

The location was ok, more for families with kids. Over all ok but extremely pricey for what's actually available. On Booking.com states that all fees and taxes were included. They put a 450.00 hold on my checking account that fell off at checkout. Then the fees were added $ 114.00 for parking and to date still have a $107.08 in fees that are not on my receipt. I was led to believe that everything listed on Booking.com was the total price for a stay. Too Pricey and with the unexpected $450.. hold was never listed. Pay for parking?!? Breakfast was listed on Booking.com as included. I asked the hostess and was told, water, tea or juice was complimentary. Breakfast came after you paid for it. Booking.com might want to update the Ellie Tapestry fees, amenities and account holds places at check in. We were given a bracelet to wear so we didn't have to pay to walk out on the pier........

If you must stay at this property, head for the adjoining Double Tree which, telling from the common areas and outdoor landscaping, is far cleaner and more comfortable. Maybe I’m expecting too much for Myrtle Beach but for the cost and the fact that this is a Hilton Tapestry property, Hilton has a ton of work to do to fix the issues at this hotel.

Nice hotel although the pictures make it look more modern/updated than it actually is. I appreciate that there was an adults-only pool. The slide was a lot of fun. The lazy river was kind of underwhelming bc there is not current. The on-site restaurant was not very good and had extremely limited options. Service was also slow. Front desk and housekeeping staff were helpful. There’s not much happening in the area around the hotel but that’s fine by me.

The best hotel! So many things to do with kids or without. The water slide were a plus! Rooms were clean and hotel was well maintained!

We loved everything about our stay we go to Myrtle beach every year for competition season and this hotel is by far the best

Check in was at 4:00, we arrived at 5:30. When we checked in we asked how long do the slides at the water park stay open? Was told till 8:00, kids were excited. Get to the water slides and they are closed, messaged the app and he said they closed at 5:00. Asked what time they open? 11:00. What time is check out? 11:00. Well for someone staying 1 night you only get 1 hour on the slides if you get there at 4:00. Doesn’t make sense. Kids were disappointed.

We always stay there and love that everything is right there to do The bartender at Ocean Blue was very rude.

This was a very nice addition to the tapestry collection and the waters were very fun for the kids and even adults. The next time we come and visit, we could easily see ourselves staying here and taking advantage of the private pier. People should definitely consider staying here because it's a very good resort.
