DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront

This hotel has it all. Right on the beach, which had beautiful sand. An abundance of pools to choose from, especially loved the shaded area with all the games, such as cornhole and ping-pong table for when we needed to get out of the sun. The only thing I would suggest is that there needs to be some more restrooms. Having to go up onto the first floor every time my children needed the toilet wasn’t ideal. It was completely doable, but having at least one at the pool area would be helpful.

The view was very nice and we enjoyed the restaurant. The room was clean- only thing I would say is the tub was very slippery so just be careful when showering and the conditioner was empty. Staff there were all friendly; check in was a breeze and the map was very helpful. Food at the restaurant was delicious.

I like that it was truly an ocean front , and I did like the idea of having the parking garage attached to the residence rooms

Check in is confusing, 3 hotels check in at one of the 3 hotels. Then you check in and proceed to your hotel, just not as clear as it could be. Other than confusion at check in everything was great!

I reserved a room with partial ocean view I was given a room on the 1st floor where the view was blocked by a tent asked if higher floor was available was told yes for 42.00 more i was not happy about that especially since there was many rooms available Thursday night I traveled all the way there to look at a tent not happy. Whatever happened to customer service?

I had a short stay but it was very clean and easy to get to.

The room was very clean, the coffee maker was missing a part upon arrival, which the concierge took care of immediately. The lighbulbs in the floor lamp did not work and the table was worn. The bed was very comfortable and the oceanviews were spectacular. Denise at the registration desk was the best part of the entire stay. She could not have been more helpful everytime we needed something. She went over and above her duties.

Great food! The shrimp is to die for! Friendly staff, very accommodating and personable. The bartender was very nice and friendly - great service. Keep up the great customer service.

The elevator outside our room was especially noisy when being used. Bedroom was cleaned daily and bed was comfortable. The patio was sufficient and we loved being able to watch the morning sunrise. We had a breakfast package and it was totally worth it. Fresh and delicious!

Front desk staff were not friendly, when we arrived in the room and try taking shower didn’t shampoo. Requested front desk and took about more than two hours to get them and I was late for my appointment. Next day when they cleaned the room didn’t leave the coffee cups. Also had to request extra towels and they brought next morning on the check out day. Requested for and late check out for an hour they absolutely denied it, I was asking for one hour late check out.

The beach, restuarants, bars, etc were all lovely. The cleaning staff that took care of our room before checkin was awful. There were bobby-pins all over the room, no towels/washcloths or SHOWER CURTAIN...sand on the bed, although it looked to be new sheets, and trash still in one can. The front desk staff was quick to bring a new shower curtain but the towels and washcloths never came. We woke up the next morning to them in a bag outside the NEXT room's door.

The property did not have clean towels at any of the pools and the shower coming from the beach did not work. Also, the rooms did not have the basic necessities like shower caps, shampoo, and conditioner. I did enjoy the breakfast buffet and the live music from the deck. The staff was very friendly.

Room and property were fairly clean. Hand and face towels and not placed in the rooms. I requested those items through concierge for two days and they were never received.

I really enjoyed my stay at the doubletree. I had a great view of the pool and beach.. The only issue was the pool towels werent avaliable everyday .. but overall the trip was a blast ... i will be coming back

The best part of the hotel was the pool bar and servers - they were fantastic! Hate this for them… we are super easy and if we won’t be back, I cant imagine others!

It was so nice to see the beach right out the door. We enjoyed all the property amenities. It is a great location and the staff and excellent. The bar had a good happy hour. We took advantage of the fishing and the mini golf nice perks. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful staff, clean rooms. Some areas are a little dated but they work hard to keep it presentable and useful for guest.

The restaurant was a little slow and the outside showers were not activated yet, so we had to track sand into our room. The staff, however, were excellent!

Coffee provided in room was sub-par. Refrigerator was so stained, it began to rust but it’s enamel.

King Oceanfront Room was spacious, clean, and updated with wooden floors. We requested the safe in the room to be fixed twice, but still did not work. The entrance door panel was broken and hanging the whole time we stayed. The bathroom was spacious, and the towels were thick and soft. The shower pressure was excellent. The king bed was very comfortable, the sheets were soft, and the comforter was perfect. The lazy river was quite dirty, but we spent most of our time at the beach. The adult pool was clean and upkept. The lobby attendants were kind and helpful. Loved the daily cookies, but had NO coffee in the lobby, which was a major downfall. We used Uber to get around as this is not close to many restaurants or bars.

Tub didn't have a shower curtain. There was only one chair on the balcony. We went back to rhe front desks and they put us in another room.

My card was charged over an extra 773$ and the room had no hot water our entire 3 night stay even though I mentioned it when concierge texted about how the room was . The only positive was Carrie at the front desk when I called about my the extra charges was very nice .

Plenty of golf courses close by near everything

Don’t go off season. The pools were dirty and filled with wasps. No clean towels. Had to go all over to find towels. Fitness center was subpar. The check in process is extremely confusing as the registration is in between two hotels. Paying a resort fee is ridiculous because nothing was operating or clean. The market was closed and you had to walk back to registration to get food or drinks. Not a very convenient place. The airport is right behind the hotel so if you have a room on the top floor it is very loud when the planes fly by. The best part was the ocean view but every hotel has the same views. I wouldn’t pay the price . The registration staff are not very friendly and didn’t ask how anything was at checkout. Overall we will not be coming back. I’m actually shocked that people pay the prices they do for this resort.

Check-in was quick and easy. You will need a credit card for incidentals, and there is a $150 hold until the room has been cleared by housekeeping. I also received a text message from Jeff, who was ready to assist if we needed anything. Our oceanfront king room with a sofa bed was clean and spacious. The only issues we had were with the door and the fridge. You had to put some “umph” into the door to make sure it was fully closed. The mini fridge was also a bit loud at times. We jiggled it a few times, and it would quiet down for a while, but eventually the noise would come back. There was plenty of parking and lots of luggage carts. If you have kids, this is a great place to stay because you have access to the Ellie and the waterpark. There is also an adults-only pool. The grounds were clean as well. The Ocean Blue restaurant has seating until 10:00, and the veggie pizza and dry-rub wings were tasty. They also offer turkey sausage for breakfast. We ordered from the menu instead of doing the buffet, though I did notice several guests enjoying the buffet. Donna was a very sweet waitress. Finally, when I thought we needed a late checkout, Susan took over the text messages and accommodated us. All in all, we would definitely stay again!

Water pressure was low in the bathroom. Took awhile to get hot water. Key card didn’t work when we tried to enter. Booked a king bed but it looked more like a queen. Property is on the beach but walkways was trashy.

When we went to check in at 10:00 p.m., the front desk clerk informed us that our room had been given to somebody else at 4:00 in the afternoon. It took 30 minutes for them to refund the cost of that room, then rebook me into a different room. That was just crazy

First thing there we couldn’t get into our room because the key reader was dead. At check in they charged a $150 “resort fee” to keep up the pools and pier which they obviously don’t use towards that. The floors were filthy in the room and made the bottom of your feet black if you walked around for 5min with your shoes off. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were the size of tea bags and super soft. The toilet had some left over debris of the past guest still stuck on it. We left a day early to go back home because none of us could get a good nights rest. Needless to say we won’t be back or recommend this place to anyone.

There was no shower curtain no wash cloths had to use hand towel as wash cloth. Asked for bill to be emailed told it was done charged for something not sure what was, by myself did nothing but sleep in room very disappointed for a Hilton property

No room service, no cleaning of the room for my 4 day stay. Heated pool was cold. They charged $17.00/ day for parking without disclosing it. The garage was empty. I could have parked in the street if given a choice. No one answered the phone. They claimed they were understaffed but the hotel was almost empty! My reservation included taxes but hotel charged extra for taxes.

When I checked into my room, I was charged upwards of t w o h u n d r e d to get my room key. The fees were "resort fees". These fees were justified by saying I would have access to putt putt ( who cars), onsite restaurants (still have to pay for the food), the pier (everyone can access the pier anyways) and pools. Absolutely unacceptable to hold me hostage by refusing refunds then charging me for my room. This is calculated and predatory. I will be continually writing public negative reviews of this establishment until the reviews reach 1 star :)

Entire property is run down, no heating in the room when temperatures drop to 35 degrees a little heat would be nice. Bathroom is disfigured, in order to use the sink you must first sit on the toilet to close the door. The property needs to be completely remodeled. The staff falls short of responding to requests and terrible customer service.

The customer service was nice. The view oceanfront was excellent. The complaints I have is that there were dust everywhere. It looks like housekeeping has not been in that room in months. The TV stand had dust all over it the back boards of the bed. You still see fingerprints all over it and the comforters if you hold them up by the light, you see black stuff look like mode all in them, we did come the front desk for more comforters. They look the same. We just took them off the bed. Doubletree used to be one of my favorite hotels to stay in. I was so disappointed with the Doubletree conditions of the room

Did not like having to take the stairs to go to the registration center and also having to walk too the garage with no covering. Their was a leak from the roof at the elevator.

My stay at the hotel was overall satisfactory. The room was clean, and the hotel’s cleanliness and accommodations met expectations. Staff was professional, and everything I needed was available. No complaints about the room or the facilities.

Stay away from here, way too overpriced for what’s your getting and the fees are just ridiculous. Just stay away as far as possible.

It wasn’t the typical double tree hotel that i was used too. The doors were connected directly outside. No restaurant or bar on premise. Overall, it wasn’t great! I love double tree but not this one.

It also makes me wonder if you didn’t clean the things in plain sight. What others items you may have skipped? Changing sheets or even towels. Also how do you claim to be a 4 star hotel with a bottle of Log Cabin syrup on the table. They pancakes and eggs seems like they were microwaved

The room itself could definitely have used a much better cleaning… And also a bit of an overhaul seem very odd set up. Much different than any other Doubletree I’ve ever stayed at.

Room key card didn't work. Front desk is like a mile away from the actual rooms, so obviously it's a long walk to get that fixed. The TV wasn't working, but the phone wouldn't even ring the desk or room service or maintenance. We found a lady from room cleaning in the corridor eventually, but she wouldn't speak a word of English. They were asking if we wanted room service. To which we said 1 hour later please (in whatever Spanish and sign language we could muster). She shows up 10 mins later at our door knocking for room service. I wonder what she understood about our request on coming back 1 hour later. For a 2 night stay for 2 bedrooms and 4 people, they had 1 toilet paper roll each. We asked for a TP roll, coffee and condiments refill, which never showed up because the room cleaning person probably didn't understand that either. We had asked to time the cleaning service specifically because we had a pet in our room and we didn't want to keep taking him out for hours hoping the cleaners come and do their job. We had to email our booking website customer care to get even the basic stuff done. The market place you run closes at weird hours so we couldn't get some basics we wanted. There was no proper signage on where to get water refills so we kept buying expensive water bottles. For all the extra resort fee and services we saw on the invoice, this seemed very poorly

My assumption was this incidental charge would be refunded and to this day it has not. I would be happy to review again if issues resolved.

This is our annual stay at doubletree and you just can’t beat the location and the comfort. We’re hoping to get in another trip at the end of September.

Overall the stay was really good but the beds couldve been a little more comfortable but they werent bad. I love the lounge and hospitality the deck on side of the lounge was great to sit and enjoy drinks and watch the waves

This is not a Hilton experience. this hotel at Max should be a 2 1/2 star hotel. There is no sink inside the bathroom. We had crickets in the bathroom. The lazy river was the only saving Grace.

Paid extra for ocean view double queen bed. Instead was giving a partial ocean view. Contacted the front desk and they said they can't do anything about it. No refund or room exchange. The Hotel Pics on website and Expedia are misleading. It is NOT a Double Tree standard hotel/resort. It's more like a Super 8 motel.

Property was clean but not as clean as Marriot hotels lol. Our room had a towel that had a ball of hair on it. But overall it was ok. I was expecting more for the price we paid. Definitely not a Wyndham hotel haha staff was great. Super helpful and went above and beyond to help us. We wanted to go to the Pier and one of the staff dropped what they were doing and took us there. I certainly didn’t expect that but it was great.

The hotel is listed as 4 star, but believe that is an old rating. 3 star at best. Walls had dirty spots, rust on the doors, excessively loud AC floor unit. I still don't know why hotels do not use modern technology with the AC units to make them more efficient and QUIET!!

Dog friendly was nice! Only wished they offered a later check out and the water slide wasn’t available even though it didn’t close until 8

Room exceeded my expectations. Spacious and nice. My only concern with the room was the floor, it had not been “wet” mopped in a very long time. I know this because the bottoms of our feet were black from walking barefoot in the room!

Siren alarm go off while im sleeping now thinking how can i get out safe with broken elevator, i cant stand up on my legs good so I ask for a shower seat to shower and they couldn't help with that either. Workers always had my walkway blocked to get pass in the hall, had to wait for them to move their carts each time. Just a horrible experience not very peaceful restful place or heplful if you have disability.

The hotel itself was great. The poolbar bartender was awesome!!! However for the price that we paid for a room from 4 pm to 11 am (not even a full 24 hours) that parking and breakfast would at least be included. Parking, because if we have paid to sleep there, we would obviously have to get ourselves to and from. Certainly wouldn’t want to have to pay someone else to bring and pick us back up. Especially with how much we had paid. Same thing with breakfast.

It was still in early spring so we didn’t mind if the outdoor pool is closed. But we love walking on the beach. Both wash sand stations did not work so we had to come back to our room to wash in the bath tub and sand are all over the room. Only one ice machine on the second. floor worked. It was maybe still low season but all these small things need to be addressed

This was actually or 2nd time there at Doubletree and hands down it's our favorite hotel in Myrtle Beach! Our pup loves it there as well!Thank you,we can't wait to come back.

Very noisy

What I liked was the staff greeting and they were very polite. I definitely enjoyed the delicious cookies. When I got to the room, it initially seemed clean however, there was a significant amount of hair on the vanity and especially in the shower. There was also crumbs on the floor And it was just sort of a gross feeling. I seek out Doubletree because they’ve always been clean and good memories however, this one was far from it. There was a small dog barking as well as consistent air traffic that also led to a disappointing stay.

Rooms weren't ready at 4pm and it's not even the busy season yet .. if they can work on that , but everything else was good .

Location is in direct flight plan of Myrtle Beach airport. Extremely noisy due to the planes

The room was amazing very spacious having the fridge and microwave and free coffee or a huge plus, and the balcony and view of the water was actually amazing. The easy proximity to beach was an added bonus.

Was a good place just that the beds were uncomfortable and the smell there wasn’t the best

No cameras on hallways, two people had a domestic dispute and were arguing all night. Notified the staff and came a few minutes later. After they left the dispute continued.

The area is a great area—however, I had to check out a day early because of the noise from the neighbouring rooms and the planes landing at the airport.

The location of the property was nice. Right on the beach.

Unfortunately our room smelled bad like dirty feet and it lingered around for the 2 nights. Also someone was smoking pot or CBD outside and the smell came into our room at night time it was bad. The rooms communicate with doors and you can literally hear everything next door. The breakfast food was expensive and not good. We would never stay there again.

No signage when we arrived - had to call the property to find out where to check in. Digital room key was great, having to also carry a key card for the elevator wasn't. Room was generally clean, but the floor needed a real mopping.

No mirrors in a garage not wide enough for two cars. Planes flying over. Barking dogs. NO sofa or comfortable chair. Tiny table not big enough for two laptops and only two uncomfortable chairs. ONE standing lamp. CRUMBS FROM PREVIOUS GUEST IN BED. And someone has the audacity to call this a RESORT?!!

Not what I expected from staying at other doubletree resorts. Our room was kinda dirty. The floor had hair on it and some other things. The bathroom was clean tho and the sheets was clean.

It was right on the beach! Room was very clean but a little dated. We could not charge our phones as the room has no USB chargers. It is a little confusing to check in because check- is not on the ground floor. We also had a little trouble finding our room. We did not feel like anything was clearly marked to find your way.
