Staybridge Suites Midland by IHG

We chose this hotel because it advertised that it had a pool. There was never an email or message from the property stating that the pool was out of use. The pool was in fact empty. The carpeting in the hallways was littered with debris and our room had oreo cookies on the floor next to the bed. We were also unable to get linens for the pull out couch. We had some very disappointed kids and were forced to leave to find entertainment for our kids.

The pool was closed and appeared to be not in use in a while. Room door wouldn’t close. Kitchen faucet was loose. Didn’t report because it was late when we returned to the room.

The shower hand held was not working. The bed was somewhat lumpy.

Loved everything and breakfast was pretty good but only thing was the pool and jacuzzi was not open and was looking forward to getting in. That was the only thing I can complain about.

Lundry was free, but out dated. Its not clean and need maintenance and deep cleaning of unit. For this price, i will stay at other place.

Everything was perfect, but… tvs needed to be updated we couldn’t mirror our mobile devices to play movies other than all excellent.

Stayed one night, didn't really use any amenities. Property is clean, convenient location.

Location and outside of hotel look nice. Numerous minor room and lobby maintenance issues. Coffee pot rusty, shower grab bar, shower caulking, bathroom fan, light fixture, elevator, lobby men’s bathroom all need repairs. Mattress was clean but felt cheap and marginal comfort.

Bed was cozy Horrible shower pressure & water never got hot enough.

The room was huge, bigger than some apartments! The bed could be replaced, it was not the most comfortable. It would be great if there was a USB port next to the bed, instead all the way across the room on the desk lamp

1 bedroom king was a great room. I was placed in a secluded area which I enjoyed. Friendly staff Room could have been cleaned a bit better.

Sofa cushions torn. Shower floor edges need recaulking. Fridge leaking onto kitchen floor. No breakfast service on one of our days but was supposed to be included. Very poor water pressure in shower/sink area. We’ve always had good experience in the past so somewhat surprised

I accidentally made two reservations through different sources. The hotel brought this to my attention at check-in and immediately rectified the situation. We had stayed here before and enjoyed the privacy of a two bedroom suite. It was also nice to have a kitchenette. Additionally, there is a nice grocery store and we discovered a delicious donut shop nearby! Nice accommodations and good location.

The only thing i liked was the lady that checked me in , the swimming area was nasty, dirty, the pool hasnt been cleaned, the patio is not clean, my son had 2 ticks on his leg, this morning we come to have breakfast, no coffee, no waffle batter,just about everything was empty, we had to wait about 30 minutes to get coffee, just a bad experience , not happy 😡

Breakfast appearance was not good fruit section looked like it was from the day before so we didn't bother going any further to check anything else out. Like I said the fruit bar section appearance was the done dill for us.

The 2 room suite was supposed to have three beds and it only had 2 beds and a small pull out couch. The carpet was dirty and left a residue on bare feet. We had to wear shoes in the room at all times. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The water was not clean with a lot of debris in the water. There was no ice or filtered water for the rooms. The doors to get back into the hotel from the pool did not work, locking us out. We had to call the front desk to come let us back in. They verified that our key was working and it was the door readers that were broken. The staff was friendly and helpful but did not offer anything with the lack of a bed which was what was booked and paid for.

Icebox went out lost food. Breakers went out no power in half of the room. Didn’t move us or help with cost of lost food

The location of the hotel seemed great. We were not able to stay at the hotel. When we went up to the room they had assigned us, room 437, it was under construction with plastic and tools everywhere. I had booked the room with a king sized bed and two queen beds. When we went back down to the front desk, the lady at the front said she had another room but had to make sure it was OK for us to stay in it. She made a phone call, after 15 minutes she came back saying that she could put us in adjoining rooms. It was me, my husband, and 3 kids under the age of 12. There was no way that we could have adjoining rooms without my husband and I separating. I told her that wouldn't work. Very rudely she said "well I guess its a king room with a pull out couch or nothing." When I asked about the room like ours that she said was available she said that it was supposed to have been an extended stay but they checked out early and housekeeping didnt get to it. So I asked then why were we booked in a room being worked on? Her response was it had been out of service for months and the system somehow put it back into rotation. It was marked as still dirty but she thought housekeeping just didnt mark it as clean so she put us in it anyway. After her story changing several times on what was available and why. We gave up and ended up leaving and driving home.

We checked in and were put into a room where the air conditioner did not work.

The front desk, food service and housekeeping staff were all very friendly. The door to our room was difficult to open and off hinge. The bathroom faucet leaks all over the counter every time it is turned on and the shower head needs to be replaced since it is caked with hard water minerals and mold. The a/c unit was loud. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed during our brief stay.

Nice property

The hotel is nice and the rooms were spacious. We definitely felt uneasy due to a staff going in the room while we were asleep without knocking. It scared my children and I a lot as we have never experienced that. I attempted to speak to the front desk about it but got a bad attitude right away.

Parking near hotel Room 216, where I stayed was not clean and outdated. Stains on sofa and walls. Rust and hairs in bathroom. Do not recommend this hotel.

There was a dirty wash cloth left in the bathtub above the shower head. There were also burns in the carpet near the bed that looked like cigarette burns. The coffee pot was disgusting and not usable! I would not recommend this place and will not be staying there again!

Location was great, easy access to major highways, restaurants, etc. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was okay. Staff took care of our main concerns. When we get into the room, the obvious areas are clean. But when we pulled out the bed in the sleeper sofa, there was trash in the sofa. There was also old receipts in a dresser drawer.

Very friendly staff and clean property. The hotel is needing some renovations. Our room had a door that didn't close completely in the bathroom and a bathroom faucet without an aerator. Very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable.

Cleanliness, very quite and the staff was friendly and helpful ? I guess being on the 4th floor water pressure wasn't good and the breakfast bar on Christmas day and the day after wasn't advertising to eat when you see onions, peaches and the ham looking like they been out a couple of days before so other than that everything else was good.

Very nice property, we got a suite with the kitchen and everything was very clean. A few maintenance issues on some loose tiles on bathroom floor and the molding loose next to the bed. My family enjoyed the breakfast that had many options to choose from and it’s set to end at later time than most hotels. Overall beautiful property and very clean. One thing, If you get the room with the sofa bed and plan on using it, ask for the linens at check in, we called front desk to ask for them and we had to walked down to pick them up.

Gave me the wrong room and blamed it on Expedia. Come to find out a guest extended their stay and the hotel gave up our room and down graded us. The room we were give was dirty and disgusting. They did not offer a refund or any solutions to their faults

Customer service was so polite

Everything was as expected, very comfy and clean room. A little noisy during the afternoon due to some kids, but overall a great stay.

We thought the carpet in our room needed attention. They use carpet squares and several were badly stained which was a stark contrast to everything else being spotless and well appointed.

Overall, the hotel was clean. The air conditioner in our room was extremely loud! It sounded like a lawn mower starting every time it turned on. The hot water was only warm and there was little water pressure.

Just came in for the night and enjoyed my stay immensely! Would definitely stay here again. The bed was PERFECT! Hadn't slept that good and comfortable in a hotel in a long time.

Dirty pillow cases, coffee cups still had coffee on them in the cabinet, hair in the shower.

One of the worst hotel experiences ive had. Main water line break, little to no water pressure entirety of stay. Alarms going off in the middle of the night. Bags of trash stacked in the lobby. Breakfast only avone of the three days. Fruit was rancid and hair in sausage. Elevator broke down and my daughter and i were trapped waiting for help. Stove in kitchen took 15 min to even get hot. Staff told us, well at the the alarms eork and walked off.

My go-to in Midland. Could use some basic improvements but, overall a great place to stay.

What happened to managers walking their property and inspecting the amenities each day? That clearly has not been done in week. The room was in great shape though. So kudos to the housekeeping staff.

We reserved a room that was supposed to have 1 King and 2 queen beds, but it had 1 king and 1 queen. We also had little to no water pressure in one shower and neither were more than lukewarm.

I did not like how my family was treated for reservations and check in. I booked the two bedroom room for family with young kids. At the time of arrival I was notified that I was the last to check in for the double bed room and was informed that the last double room was flooded and our family had to be placed in two different rooms which was the main issue, it was no call or consideration for me and little kids to consider. They said they check all the teams in first so the older kids from the teams could be priority. They could of split the teams up and allowed the family with younger kids to stay together. Also the two rooms we had to check into were not connected or close. The front desk lady was nice and understanding but just tried to relay the inconvenience from the manager, the manager was supposed tocalle the next morning for the undesired situation and never did call it's three days later, I had to call and no return call back.

It was amazing as always i love this place and love how they have rooms for when i visit my husband and we have a room and our children have their own room.

Cons: they double charged us for each day we were here and claimed it is a normal hold. It’s not normal, and now we have to dispute 100s of dollars in charges. (Around $450 to be exact). So if this is “normal” be prepared to have them take tons of money from your account as a “hold” on top of charging you for the room! We were provided with 2 towels then told they do not offer cleaning service on the weekend. So we had to remove our trash and constantly go get towels from the front desk. If it wasn’t for the charges and now having to dispute all of this mess, I would have recommended this place.

Property isn’t what it looks like on the photos, very run down inside the rooms not kept up well. Also was in two different rooms and neither of the ac units worked correctly. Seems as if property had control of thermostats to limit the cool or heating capabilities in the rooms. Staff was great, but was not impressed for the price.

Everything was very clean and accommodating. Friendly staff. I like they provide you with shower items and even give you hand soap and hand lotion (actual products in a bottle, not those crappy hand bars). Only complaint would be the hot water wasn’t all that hot and it took a while to warm up. But all in all everything was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was large and clean. Everything functioned well un the kitchenette. Good size flat screen TV. Bed was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was the individual room heat and air made a high pitched noise. Noise appeared to be the fan spinning. It was not lous, but irritating. Fortunately, the weather was nice and we shut the AC/heater off.

Have stayed here before and loved it. The room we got this time was not very clean or well kept. Lots of things in the room broken, light bulbs burnt out, not very clean. Just kind of a let down.

Bed was clean and comfy. Thats all that was good. They gave us an animal room, so my wifes allergies were horrible the whole stay. Would not change our room because we used third party. The gave us a room with a broken sink, stains on the floor, and broken chair. The did say i could move after sink started leaking on floor. I said no because my children were asleep. I was annoyed because they wouldnt let us move when we arrived. Just felt like I wasnt wanted there.

Overall stay was good hotel was exceptional breakfast was great. Staff was amazing only thing one button on remote didn’t work but no biggie

Great location, very nice. Breakfast was great, go early. My son and his friend swam for hours m, the pool was nice and warm and the hot tub great they jumped back and forth. The patio is very pretty and the fire pit a nice touch to a cool evening. The gym was good got a good little workout in. The fireplace in common room was nice lots of seating relaxing environment. Highly recommend.

We always stay in Midland, and we have our fave hotel, but some of our friends talked us into staying at Staybridge Suites. We check into our hotel and went to have supper. When we came back someone was already in our room. We went down to the receptionist and she went up to the room to get the person to open the door and of course they would not open the door. We got moved to another room. I’m so glad we did not put our stuff in there before we left. Our new room was not the same size as our original room. Our bedroom did not have a shower head that was working properly instead, we used a removable handheld hose. The room was clean. AC worked well. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Plenty of delicious choices.

No hot water for showering or washing hands. Water was barely warm.

This was first visit to a Staybridge hotel & I was very impressed. I really feel like I received value for the dollars spent. Additionally, I was late for breakfast my first morning but the food was still out so I fixed a plate. It was delicious by the way. What really impressed me was that the housekeeping staff was having a meeting & reviewed each survey with the group. This shows me that the staff really care about their guests & the property! When i travel again i will look for another opportunity to visit a Staybridge property.

We had booked a room described as 1 king, 2 queen but when we got there we were given 2 kings with a sofa bed. I asked about that at check-in and was told other booking platforms don't give proper descriptions for the rooms being booked and that if I had booked on their website, I would've gotten the room I had wanted. Despite that, the room was nice and very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. And I was pleasantly surprised that we had 2 bathrooms. All the employees we met were very welcoming. We wanted to spend time in the hot tub but it was dirty and had a lot of dead bugs floating in it, so we skipped that. There was a very nice sitting area outside with a fire pit that we really enjoyed. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with our son and his wife and toddler. The suite was very nice and roomy. Had a nice little kitchen area with a full fridge and 2 burner stove top. The bedrooms were very roomy and each had their own bathroom also. The toiletries were nice Dove hand soaps/body wash/lotions/shampoo and conditioner. We were very pleased with our stay here and would definitely chose this brand/location again.

The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast offered a good selection. We had no complaints whatsoever and have already booked a stay for our return trip home.

Was not very clean. Sofa bed was ot very clean when we pulled it out. Pillows were dirty. Had one towel when we got there in bathroom. Utensils in the drawers where dirty. Water presure was so slow. Was disappointed with visit.

We were most impressed with everything about this hotel. What a bargain price for so much. Very top choice. Highly recommend from all features. Will stay there again when need arises.

The hotel was nice , room was nice. The only problem was no water pressure in the sink, toilet took forever to fill up in order to flush.

Unfortunately we stayed at this location about 6 years ago. Since then it has gone down hill! I stayed at this location due to the ratings it had but it was not accurate whatsoever. The hotel needs renovation and updated remodeling. Rooms had old electric sockets, the lights didn't even work except for the main kitchen light. The floor was disgusting, and dirty. You would walk barefoot with socks and nothing but black on the bottoms of your feet. Shower only had body wash and two conditioners, and no shampoo. Room service didn't even bother to clean the room while we were there. Was woken up while sleeping by a loud knock then for someone to try and enter the room which had to have been room service, but they did not state who they were. All in all just a bad stay, and I will not be back.

The hotel is comfortable enough but there were a couple of issues. My bathroom sink was barely a trickle, not even enough to wash your hands. I asked for a maintenance call but the problem wasn't resolved. When I asked about it the excuse was that it must be a problem with the whole floor. That's unlikely because my shower and kitchen sink had excellent water pressure. The other issue is the poor choices for breakfast. Other hotels in the area have a much better selection. Housekeeping missed a few days which was not a big problem.
