The facility, location, view and staff were wonderful. They could not have been more accommodating. Very helpful in assisting us to get our car through through the ZTL zones to park in their courtyard.
-
The location and historical background. Early check in upon arrival. Very dated, terrible breakfast and coffee, not very clean. Roof top terrace was not open (only open in summer) which meant we had to leave the hotel for drink or food. The lobby area wasn’t welcoming to sit at nor did they offer any services.

The location, the premises, and the staff. Everything looks great in the palazzo. Perhaps the breakfast could be a little better.

The hotel is a real beautiful palace. The path to the breakfast is fantastic. You pass through numerous rooms that look like museum halls with paintings on the walls. The breakfast include the eggs, salami, local cheese etc. But is better do not arrive too late as me. The eggs and the scramble was finished. Don’t miss to see Terrace at 3 floor, where you can see all the city. The staff is very friendly. Speak English and French fluently

Italian Palace at the top of the hotel. Beautiful historic building. Was tricky to find at first but the front desk staff was helpful with directions.

Breakfast could have been better. The only warm option was hard boiled eggs (boiled at the breakfast room). The scrambled eggs were cold, no heat under the serving tray

The architecture of the building was intriguing. Having concerts on site was lovely. The rooftop was great! The rooms were nice. The location was good and the views amazing! It was difficult to find and once there there was a problem getting our car in at the hotel because of filming.

Not not enough words to describe how beautiful this Palazzo is. As they say in Italian ottimo.

Exceptional! We loved the Palazzo, as it felt like we were staying in a real palace, with exquisite rooms filled with artwork and antiques. What a lovely surprise to pass through these rooms on our way to breakfast which was top notch. Fresh croissants, any type of coffee, fresh fruits and juices. anything you wish! we extended our stay an additional night. nothing to improve

Great and impressive palazzo. Historical. Has a parking courtyard near Piazza il Duomo. Hard to reach by car, though. Poor signaling to reach property. Staff was Overall, a good place to stay, but a few details on the side of management could make it outstanding. Good experience, though. Matera is a site worth visiting and the Palazzo a great place to be while visiting. More helpful staff and breakfast service. Cold scrambled eggs. Not sustantial toiletries anf T paper for a 4 star hotel

Amazing location to walk around the old city and the sassi. Plenty of restaurants, shops, viewpoints, etc. within short walking distance. The property was absolutely gorgeous, and the collection of artwork makes you feel like you're staying overnight in a museum. My wife and I were amazed. The breakfast is delicious, and the view from the rooftop is stunning, especially at sunset. There happened to be a classical music festival, on our floor, the night we were there, and we were offered free tickets... It was a unique experience and we really enjoyed it. The lady that checked us in and out was extremely friendly and helpful, as was Giuseppe. The directions to get to the hotel via car were great, and we had no problems. We were able to park at the hotel, which was very convenient. N/A

Grand splendour of an ancient palace. Huge proportions of the classic bedroom Helpful front office staff Excellent central location No room service. No drink making facilities in room in light of the above Lack of availability of freshly cooked breakfast in dining room Non-functioning room safe

Amazing from top to bottom. Great spacious rooms, great view, new everything. The rooftop terrace is amazing too. Breakfast was included, and was very good. The hallways and rooms getting to the room were decorated like a museum. Truly top notch. It's pretty tight to get a car in there. Luckily, they will park it for you if you want. We had ants in our room and I asked for an ant spray, to which the clerk at the front desk broght a 95% empty disinfecting spray and an old and used ant bait, which never worked despite being put in the middle of the ant trail. Bring mosquito repellent spray. The evenings in most places in italy (including this one) resulted in us getting bitten about a dozen times.

Beautiful property in a great location to explore the sassi areas! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast area as well as private rooftop bar area were gorgeous! And they have parking available in their own private lot 30€. Totally recommend this property.

Beautiful building. King size bed.

Most fabulous stay in all of Italy! This hotel is a palace and so beautiful! It is situated in a great location just 40m from the Duomo. The views of the Sassi from our room and terrace above were breathtaking! Everything was close by with easy walking, tours, restaurants etc. The palace rooms are an architectural delight with arched ceilings and everything in our room was an artful blend of new and antique- great modern comfy bed, incredible modern shower, some lovely cupboard doors etc. The terrace with views all around was incredible! Breakfast was offered, buffet style, serving everything anyone could possible eat at breakfast including your eggs snd bacon for Westerners. Overall, in our 4 yrs touring Italy, this was a 10+++ accommodation including such lovely and caring staff! Everything was top notch!!
