Blankenbaker Inn by IHG

Property is in need of remodel. Upgrade is needed to breakfast menu. Nothing offered other than high sugar, carbohydrates. Mattresses are comfortable, rooms are clean, but in need of upgrades. Overall average facilities

I did not like that there was no hot water in my room. Seems like a basic amenity. Call the front desk and was told another room on my floor had the same complaint. The good news is, hot water was restored shortly. The bad news is that this happened at all.

I was double charged for the room

Not much Light didn’t work in the bathroom. Lamp in room didn’t work. Faucet in bathroom sprayed spattering all over . Mattress was horrible. Banging from renovation late into the evening and could not sleep! Was told by staff it could possibly last until 10 pm! Never again

The location is good and the staff were friendly. The hotel failed to inform us that they were doing renovations while we were there. Construction began between 7am and 8am each day we were there and was very noisy. They were working on the roof and siding. We were not able to sleep in at all. Also, because of the construction the back parking lot was not available to use so there were a few nights that we could not park at the hotel. We had to park at a neighboring hotel and then worry about our car. The breakfast selection was very slim as well. There was also a funny burning smell on the 3rd floor and elevator.

Check in is at 3:00, but rooms were not available because housekeeping was behind. The waiting room was full of people wanting to check in. Once we got in the room, there were still no clean towels and there were still dirty towels and cleaning products in the room. There is not enough parking but for a third of the hotel. Seeing as there was a large event in town, parking was full. This stay was a disaster that they were not prepared for at all.

The breakfast menu was not what I was expecting. Oatmeal and cereal with a toaster for bread. I’m in the south. Where are the biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs. Was supposed to have a top notch breakfast.

Front desk lady was friendly and check in was quick. Hallways were looking a bit worn but room was much better. The big issue was crazy loud room across the hall. Super loud yelling with people going in and out and the door slamming until after 3am. Not much as far as the continental breakfast. Was in better shape when it was Sleep Inn.

Hall carpet is dirty and looks ti be shifting. Desk in room was covered with ants that where there again in the morning. Shower head needed delimed and shower was discolored.

This property is not maintained very well. The elevator seems very old, makes strange noises and has an electric or oil type of smell on the third floor. The first room we were given had a dirty bathroom and the lights didn’t work. Most of the complimentary breakfast was gone when we got there (an hour before it ended).

Great bedding and towels Wi-Fi connect but the drops. Staff not responsive to the concern — I tried their suggestion to turn device in and off without issue resolution. Breakfast wasn’t to typical standard of ihg hotel.

Property was in a great location. Room was clean and the staff was amazing both checking in and checking out. They have 24hr tea and coffee. They are planning some great renovations. Stairwell smelled like burnt rubber and the carpets were dirty. The bathroom sink wouldn’t turn off.
