The gardens are stunning and there are 2 lovely pools. The rooms are a good size and all have balconies. The staff are fantastic and though it’s an older style hotel, it’s very maintained. Breakfast is also good. In my opinion, there is an over abundance of decorative statues in the gardens and the decors in the rooms is a little dated.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Kumala Pantai for our honeymoon and we are SO happy with our choice. The first thing you will notice is the ambiance; the grounds are beautifully surrounded by a jungle-like environment with beautiful trees and plants. Upon arrival, the staff was very welcoming and the check in process was smooth. They never hesitated to answer questions and help us if we needed anything. The rooms are clean and comfortable; very spacious with big TV's, nice bathrooms, and cute little balconies. Breakfast is delicious featuring lots of different food including an egg station with a chef who will prepare your eggs for you made to order. One of our favorite amenities was definitely the pools. There are two, both equipped with a bar and a staff that is very attentive to your needs. The smaller pool even has a swim up bar with seats which is really neat. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is located right on the beach with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. In the opposite direction are tons of shops, as well as more great options for dining. If you are staying in the Kuta area, you must book time at Hotel Kumala Pantai for a truly unforgettable experience.

The room service was very fast and prompt. When it rained, the path way to the restaurant was slippery, especially in the morning on my way to get breakfast

For the price this hotel does not fail. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, hotel is a bit tired and very traditional Bali. Location was great, able to walk straight onto the beach and watch the sunset every night. Shopping markets were near by and most importantly great coffee from the Coffee Barbers and superb massages. The rooms are quite good, air con needs an update though. The beds and pillows were not comfortable at all, which lead us to book our last night with another hotel to get a good nights sleep. Maybe we are just too used to our orthopedic bed and pillows from home.

Buy new towels and bed linens for the hotel. This seriously spoils the overall impression of the hotel, which is actually wonderful. Lots of greenery, old buildings, and furniture give the hotel a special style and character. Delicious food in the restaurant. Good room service. But drab lines and grey towels are a nightmare.

Location was good. Across the road from the beach and short walk to streets with many market stalls. There were two pools Both were good and the kid enjoyed them immensely. There were ordering services from both pools. We had a two bedroom apartment. Both rooms had their own bathrooms which were well appointed. Actual bedrooms were a good, had air con and both had a walkthrough area to the bathroom which housed a wardrobe if needed. Breakfast was good and had a lot of options available. Pricing for lunch and dinner was very reasonable as were drinks. The hotel was nice and quiet at night despite our room facing out to the street. The staff were all so friendly. Our apartment was quite dark inside, One side was darker than the other and I generally like light sunny rooms. The beach was ok but very crowded. We didnt spend time there as the pool in the hotel was more than good enough to hang out in.

Pros: great location very near the beach; lush, beautiful gardens and two large pools that are well maintained; a good, varied breakfast; friendly staff and an amazingly responsive, generous front desk, who took care of our needs within minutes of our putting in a call. The property and amenities could use updating (e.g., the towels are quite worn, the shower drain gets clogged, internet is slow) and the rooms are damp.

Rooms had in my opinion outdated furniture. My bed sheet and comforter had a few stains. The gym definitely needs new equipment. Very old machines and and lack of free weights. I didn’t appreciate the fireworks going off every night, very loud in my room I was somewhat close to the beach. The fireworks noise is no fault of the hotel. They did offer to try and find me a quieter room.
