Friendly staff, perfect central location, easy to find. Nice balcony facing main street, perfect during the day. Room ok, nothing too fancy. Downside of the balcony facing main street, at night it was quite noisy till deep into late hours, and it wasn't even high tourist season. Maybe the room on the inside of the accommodation are better suited if you want a quiet night.

Great location in Lagos old town, Room had some peeling paint and cracked plaster but the rustic charm works in this very old building. I can see why some might give poor reviews but my 2nd floor room on the street was comfortable with wood flooring. The room was quieter than expected but that was in part to do with other guest respecting quiet. Ratty old carpet in 2nd floor hallways is very bad, but I don't spend a lot of time there. It is nice to have common refrigerator adjacent to reception area.

The location of this place is hard to beat, right in the heart of everything and incredibly convenient for getting around. It was perfect for our needs, especially as a group. Having a triple room with separate beds made a big difference in comfort, and we really appreciated the small kitchen for quick meals (no stove only microwave). The courtyard was a lovely bonus for relaxing, and the rooftop was a nice spot to unwind after a day out. Our view faced the main street and had a small balcony to overlook everything. We’d loved this. Overall, while it may not suit those looking for something modern or newly renovated, we really enjoyed our stay and felt it had a cozy, lived-in charm that worked well for us. The room itself is definitely on the dated side, which might not appeal to everyone, but we actually found it quite charming and full of character.

Andre and Karina were fantastic and very, very helpful. It’s an old building but it adds to the character of it all! 10/10 recommend

Many diverse restaurants nearby. Good location in old town Not much of a kitchen

Isolation could have been better (a little noisy..)

Perfect location in the heart of the old town. Great value for your money. Very good pillows. If you are all light sleeper you'd better use earplugs: in your room you hear every single sound in the hallway. All the door hinges squeek and need oiling. The hotel advertised availability of tea and coffee but only mint tea was provided.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the bedroom and bathroom were very cleaned. The location is superb, right in the middle of everything you need, restaurants, cafes, little food market, stores....etc. The kitchen was very small but decent cleaned. However, I only stayed one night, I didn't have to use it.

the location was amazing and we had a shower in our room, staff is really friendly we loved it it might be a bit loud at night since its super central, but we had no problem with it

The location was great! The room was a bit small, but not unexpected!

Staff let us leave our bags before/after checkout, the room had an amazing location and the balcony was great to view the old town while staying out of the sun. Shared bathroom was a bit tired but it was clean and functional, and I never had to wait long to use it. Sink in the room was a bonus.

If your room is facing the Main Street then be prepared for a lot of noise from the party people walking home. As there’s no AC, we had to have the windows open and thus no sleep. Kitchen is quite lacking as there’s no access to a sink for water (they do offer a jug of tap water) and lack of tables to eat

The property was well located, right in the centre and if your room looked at the inner court, it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the extra blanket for the night and the washbasin in the room was great. The sea, shops, bus station was in walking distance. It had a roof terrace and a table in the courtyard. In the ‘kitchen’ there was a kettle, fridge and microwave. The staff did the washing up. The bathroom was a bit dated, but functional. It was all clean. I could have a peaceful rest after a long day walking I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t wash my hands when I used the kitchen unless I went to the bathroom. There was paper provided though.

Caravela has many private rooms at varying sizes. The staff are very friendly and ready to help. The location is right in the middle of the busy tourist center with restaurants and shops the moment you step out the door. The sea is only a short walk away. Inside the property it is surprisingly very quiet considering the hustle and bustle outside. The roof is a nice place to sit, relax and/or look at the activity below. There are not many facilities for when the place is full. There is one table in the central lobby area, and one microwave, a kettle, one coffee machine that required Delta Q pods or equivalent and a few cups, as well as some cutlery and plates. The staff wash up anything used. There are only 2 tables on the roof (the roof could be made into an oasis for travelers). There are only 3 (I believe) toilets with showers to be shared with everyone. The room prices become ridiculously expensive like everywhere else in Lagos during summer season, but out of season the place is less full so you have easy access to everything mentioned and the rooms are excellent value for money. Oh yeah, towels are provided, the internet is good, there was a sink in my room which was useful, and my mattress was hard, which I personally love and found extremely comfortable. The lights in the room are unnecessarily dim! I seriously thought about going out and buying my own lightbulbs for my stay. The only thing needed is brighter light bulbs. When you turn on the lights they almost make no difference to the darkness in the room.

The staff was kind and location was central to all the main things. Having the door to the building wide open on a busy street that could have the potential for random people easily accessing the rooms was uncomfortable. The room i was assigned felt damp and smelt musty , sqeaky bed with the only window opening onto the little court yard. I ended up finding another place to stay because, as a solo traveling female, I just didn't feel right.
