Suntrap Hostel

Location No hot water. Had to take ice cold showers. No blanket and had to sleep in cold with a thin bed sheet. The room door was facing the kitchen door and people were talking loud till 1am, making it impossible to sleep. The kitchen should be closed after certain time or don’t place guests in that room.

You can expect some laudness and party ;) But still - good!

Location Beds felt dirty

Amazing location at an affordable price. BED BUGS DO NOT STAY HERE. Woke covered in bugs all over my bed and dormitory. The owner then moved me from a bed bug infested room to another bed bug infested room. The staff continued to allow bookings and put people in rooms they KNOW are infested with bugs. They refused to refund me after I woke up covered in bugs. It was an absolute nightmare experience. I have bites all over my body head to toe. I’ve never left a poor review on a hostel and I’ve stayed in over 60 budget hostels. I feel bad for the owner who is just trying to make an honest living, but knowingly putting people in infested beds is unprofessional and unethical. To all my fellow travelers, do yourself a favor and spend 5 more euros to stay somewhere cleaner.

The other guests were very nice and friendly, and the balcony was good. Kitchen was a bit small but that’s fine

I stayed in a big room with 8 girls beds dormitory. It was nice room with big windows . But the other room don’t have window that looks airless. After checking out of the hostel, people ask to leave their bags which is normal. They don't allow it. They need to find a way to do this. After all, checkout is very early, and of course, people want to spend that day around the city. They mentioned 1 km far away lockers. Hostel should have this service or a luggage place. (Like other hostels)

Lovely hostel with great staff (who treat guests to wine and snacks), nice common areas (rooftop terrace), hot showers, and perfect location.

No AC or even a fan so it was very very hot. Also, they told me I could leave my bag there after checkout and they promised me that I could come back around 2 to pick it up (even though their reception desk is technically closed at that time). When I went back to pick up my bag, no one was answering to let me in the door and when I texted them they said I had to come back at 3pm (my bus was at 3:15 so that wasn’t an option!). I eventually just got into the building by catching the door when someone else was leaving but this was a really stressful situation :/

The staffs was friendly. Great location, close to the marina, city centre and tourist attractions. You can cook your meals. There is a kitchen with applainces and fridge for storage.

Pleasant

The manager was amazing and provided all of the help that you could need; welcome smile and very efficient. The bed was very comfortable and I was fortunate enough to have amazing roommates. It was quite difficult to find the property and I think maybe some better instructions on how to locate the property in the Booking.com description would be helpful. no air-conditioning which in Summer seems to be a crime against humanity but probably not.

The room 8 had a good view light air.Sheets good quality(mattress too thin)clean quiet roomie. Could use hooks for coats towels etc in room a little shelf or cloth bag held by Velcro on each bed .Things kept falling on the floor at night from beds phones cream glasses tooth brush etc.curtains and plugs in bed space would be nice.Breakfast would be nice.

Very cozy, clean, great aura equipped with all necessary facilities! Has a big wide kitchen, a beautiful terrace and working room. The rooms are big and spacious with natural lighting. Located right in old town next to cafes pharmacies shops and restaurants. The staff is also super friendly, helpful and kind! Wifi was down for the most part! Had to use my data so keep that in mind, the beds creak a lot and there is outside noise which isnt the hostels fault.

Bedbugs in the bed

The space was cramped, the place wasn’t very clean. Everything was minimal effort. It was on a super busy street though although people struggled to sleep it was in a good central location. The place needs alot of TLC, modernisation and more regular cleaning.

Easy to check in and out. We chould left the baggage at the hostel after check out. The beds were really uncomfortable. The bathrooms were a bit mouldy.
