Restaurant staff and room decorations The reception staff has changed and doesn’t know what they are doing. They definitely are not trained for a five star hotel. The dinner menu has very limited options. The breakfast buffet has been reduced. The rooms have more and more signs of lack of maintenance. The new gym is lacking and the machines are very old.

I do like the services from the reception, dining experience, butlers from check in to check out - Although a luxurious bed, but I could not sleep at all due to noises from rehearsal and setup for a wedding. This definitely disturb the purpose of my stay to have a relaxed weekend get away. - I ordered food to my room and it came almost an hour later, which made me super hungry and the food was cold despite It was a fried one. - The broken facilities near swimming pool, especially the men's toilet was shocking for a hotel with this calibre. - The food selection for breakfast, Although it is nice but pretty bland and uninspiring to go for more.

Exceptional service, everyone from all department looked after us like royalties never missing anything we need. The place was clean and away from the noise, totally enjoyed the tranquillity of the hotel. We stayed too short of 3nights. We shall come back.

The food in breakfast and service team is quite impeccable. Joanna is sweet and really warm of her to walk up to us and freely talk with us. The barista and the lady at the egg station are perfect at their work and so warm in their attitude. Also kind of the barman on the other swimming pool to give me a tour of the Bhimasena tower and talk at leisure about the property history and Indonesia in general. The rooms are huge, but the room is not equipped properly before guest arrives. Everything had to be told to the butler, like please unlock the refrigerator, please provide more coffee capsule as we are two people, toiletries etc. Th executive room is large enough for 3 people, yet the rule of 2 people only in 1 room. The reception desk attitude is a bit cold and transactional even on welcome Weird rules that were not stated previously Hotel floor areas have no air conditioning(i guess its one of the features for sustainability but it should not be all shuttered then) Few dessert options in breakfast would have been nice In house spa not available Value of rooms is not justified.

My wife kindly booked us into The Dharmawangsa over Christmas to celebrate my birthday and relax for a few days whilst in Jakarta. The hotel is located in a quiet, tree lined residential area so you have the benefit of being away from the congestion of CBD traffic yet just a short drive away from malls like Senayan. On arrival, we were greeted courteously and taken to reception and immediately made to feel welcome and a valued guest. Our room was clean, spacious and quiet with a nice balcony overlooking a tropical tree lined garden area and swimming pool. We also liked the traditional and spacious furnishings and overall decor in the room making us feel comfortable and relaxed. The bathroom is generously sized including a bath tub and shower room along with a plentiful assortment of amenities. I really enjoyed using the varied and excellent leisure facilities at the hotel including the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzis and sauna. I also finished our brief stay with a rejuvenating deep-tissue massage which I would highly recommend. We started each day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. There is an extensive selection of food available including delicious, traditional Indonesian dishes and other Asian and Western style cuisines. We really liked the wide selection of fresh fruits, juices and freshly baked breads and pastries along with various teas and freshly brewed aromatic arabica coffee. All in all, a perfect way to start the day assisted by warm, helpful and attentive staff. Would like to thanks to say special thanks to Irwan at the Reception; Riyan, Ahmadi, Arief, Affan and Lisa for providing a great experience at Breakfast - along with the delicious food, keeping me supplied with excellent arabica coffee and introducing me to the tasty and refreshing Jamu juice. I really appreciated the surprise birthday greeting and cake too; all the staff at the Spa & Wellness Centre. It’s a little difficult to walk to local restaurants - very short walk, but side walks are bumpy and not developed in some parts.
