Hyatt House Houston Medical Center

I am deducting one star for a parking pass that did not work at the gate repeatedly and elevators who did not seem to work one of the evenings.

The property was very nice and convenient. The front desk girls were extreme helpful and nice and patient and the cleaning staff was very friendly as well.

The AC wasn’t working properly

It was very difficult for us after driving 6 hours we stayed in level where the dogs at we didn’t sleep with so many barking

I loved all the breakfast they had available also great snack bar and amazing pool and bar area as well as the beds being so comfortable and clean nothing bad to say about my room just amazing Only thing I didn't like was the elevator sometimes would get stuck for the parking garage and the stairwell doors dont have handles on the outside to access also better signage to let others know exactly where to get to the stairwell for the parking garage

Staff was extremely helpful and so nice. The shuttle service was very convenient. Will definitely be staying there again.

Convenience Could not get staff to change my sheets. I'd had an accident which necessitated a sheet change and I had the room booked till 4pm. 1st request was at 7:30 am. 3 requests later they were finally changed at noon. I'd had a procedure and needed the bed.

We were in Houston for medical reasons. The front desk staff was exceptional. The bar tender and kitchen were fun and accomadating. The room was spacious and clean. We were unable to partake of the breakfast due to my early appointment time but the coffee was delicious. We will stay here again.

The bathroom is cramped especially the sink area. It's a noisy property with people always hanging around. I'm not sure if they are guests or not. The parking/elevator is challenging and not user friendly.

This hotel was sooo great. Thank you do much. We went to the restraunt last night. It was so relaxing. The young lady is so sweet. The pool is so nice too.

The only thing lacking was discretion of the front desk staff. We overheard way too much of a conversation between the desk associate and a guest than we should have. If I had been that guest I would’ve been humiliated. Other than that it was a 10/10 stay.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was very clean. Only problem was that the breakfast sucked! The food was bland and there wasn’t many options. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone! It’s BEAUTIFUL!

Breakfast was fresh. They were already breaking it down and stopped coffee by 9:40 when it shows to be served til 10am. Check in guy was nice when he got to us, but we were not a priority and had to wait because the other worker didn’t want to stop to check us in. Nothing that was a big deal. Just irritating when it’s late & you’re ready to get settled.

My room was so comfortable and all the staff from the front desk to the breakfast bar staff were friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel for its location by the medical center. It was about a mile away and they offer a shuttle service.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hyatt House Houston Medical Center. I asked Brandon at the front desk if I could check in early but no rooms were ready yet but he said he'd see what he could do. 20 minures later, Brandon found me eating breakfast and handed me my room keys! Brandon noticed my Nursing scrubs and knew I just got off my nightshift and was tired. Thank you Brandon!! A++++++

We were not told that we were to use our room card when leaving to go somewhere so we paid every time we went somewhere.

Parking was easy. My wife and I have no complaints.

The location was convenient for my chemo treatment and appointments I had scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday all day. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean!! The staff wasn’t very helpful and gave no information on hotel amenities. I felt the cost was a lot for the service I received I have stayed and paid less and received better accommodations other places around the same area.

It was a good breakfast. However the warm food was cool not warm. breakfast should be at least warm if not hot. The coffee was good and hot.

The Cleanest Of It

I had a lovely stay. The shuttle drivers were the best, took such good care of us all and made it possible to get by without renting a car. I was visiting Rice University, which is nearby enough to take the free shuttle to get to, or close enough to a bus stop to go somewhere else. Bummed I didn't have time to check out the Zoo, but it was a nice stay. Good variety for breakfast (slightly limited hours though, if you're not an early riser, set your alarm). A/C kept me alive and happy in my first time in the Texas heat. Coffee was good. Everyone was kind. Room was cozy. Thanks so much! While there are snacks and such available, $8 for a bottled smoothie was a bit silly. Had the options been more affordable, I would have spent more at the hotel rather than eating out. The free shuttle with the great drivers made up for it though.

The 1 bedroom suite with the city view i had was simply nothing short of amazing. The hot tub was perfect and the breakfast was excellent (i just wish they had turkey options for the meat ). The staff matched the quality of the hotel as well.i most definitely will be staying at hyatt house houston every single time.

We were given keys to a room that had not been cleaned and was disgusting. However after we advised the front desk of their oversight, they gave us a suite. The shower was pathetic. It was quite nice. I dont usually stay in hotels of this caliber. The room was fabulous and clean with great views of medical center. It was a nice treat. My son was having a major surgery at MDA. The hotel shuttle service was such a blessing as it covered the MDA area. Our shuttle driver was an incredibly kind gentlemen that went out of his way to be helpful. Sure wish we could remember his name. It was convenient to MDA which allowed an option to walk which we did quite often. The breakfast was plenty good. Just wish there was a bit more variety. The attendants were awesome. Really would have enjoyed the option for coffee available in foyer. Very helpful desk attendants. Reasonable parking prices and safe atmosphere. Would most definitely stay again!!

This hotel is fantastic. Very comfortable places to relax in the lobby and enjoy a drink at the bar. The gym was really nice and had lots of equipment. The hotel is a short walk from food in the medical district.

The "barn door" bathroom closure is awful - fire the architect. Since 90% of people are Rt. handed why have the toilet handle of the Lt side? and then put it so close to the cabinet it's a pain to use. Sounds like this hotel designed by DEI hires!

The staff was very friendly. My only complaint was the shuttle bus-the driver is way too aggressive. I ended up taking Lyfts to stay away from that bus. It wasn’t just one day, but several.

Devin at the front desk did an exceptional job checking in my girlfriend and I. This was a birthday trip for her and he made sure she felt special! He also did not neglect to let us know about all of the hotel’s amenities and made sure we knew about the free shuttle to the show we came in town for! First time staying at a Hyatt house and I forever a Hyatt house guest now!

Also a major suggestion you should accommodate the Texan fans on game days and dedicate your shuttle to running trips back and forth to the stadium

Our room was great, figuring out parking garage elevator into hotel took a few but it’s simple. Take garage elevator to floor 1, get off and get on hotel elevator for your floor. Even had ev charging stations. Pool deck on 7 was nice and staff were friendly. Cards have to be used to access floors so safety was important. Breakfast had a variety and small available to go snacks were good

Pay attention to parking garage and fee, but thankfully it is low and worth it. The room was comfortable and autistic child safe in climbing. The ice machine isn't that far from the elevator which is nice. The staff...all staff were kind and when needed helpful.

We spent two days in the hospital with a friend. We came home each night and wanted to go to the bar to have one drink. The first night we waited a bit and then was served on. The second night, we waited longer than we wanted to, and just simply left.

Overall, my stay was satisfactory. My problem was check-in was at 3 PM and I arrived a little after that and was told at the front desk that my room was not ready just yet, it would be another 10 maybe 15 minutes and I said OK. I understand they were very busy. It was the weekend of the metallica concert in Houston, 20 minutes went by and then 30 minutes went by altogether was about an hour and a half of waiting and I was finally able to get into my room. That’s only after I went back up to the desk to ask if they had my phone number correct because they were supposed to text me when my room was ready. I wonder just how much longer I would’ve been sitting there waiting had I not went back to ask. As mentioned before I understand being very busy but there’s a big difference between 10 and 15 minutes and an hour and a half wait time..

The stay at Hyatt House Houston was a good trip.My wife and I stayed 2 nights for a Metallica concert. We were checked in by a young gentleman James who really nice and helpful.The rooms was nice and spacious the restroom floor was not so great looked like they forgot to mop the floor. I chose the hotel because of the distance from the NRG Stadium for the concert and the free breakfast served from 6-10am. I was thinking it should be somewhat nice since I paid so much per night but let me tell you it was no nice.I didn't touch the eggs because they didn't look appealing it just felt like they didn't enjoy doing what they do at their jobs. The oatmeal container had a crust on the sides and they couldn't keep up with the replenishing of the. The first morning they had eggs, potatoes, waffles. The potatoes were empty and the waffles were hard and stale. The second morning they served eggs, sausage Links, potatoes and French toast sticks all I had the sausage and potatoes and coffee. I really try not to complain about things too much but things like this is a reflection of job performance.

Just 1 star for cleanliness because we stayed for 2 nights, and they didn’t clean our rooms from the beginning of our stay, until we left. We booked 3 rooms, and none of the rooms were cleaned.

Had to wait 2 hrs after check in for room to be cleaned and inspected which made us late to venue. Shuttle driver was amazing. She went out of her way and stayed late to get us to our venue as fast and safe as she could.

Despite the delays in rooms being ready, the front desk and management were professional but also kind and accommodating. The hotel is cute and clean. My family enjoyed the stay, even for one night.

Horrible..had allergic reaction to bedding! Never experienced that before! They had to have changed the detergent..Didn’t even try to resolve issue! Emailed management and still no reply to rectify the situation!

I enjoyed my stay at this property. The staff was kind, helpful, and courteous. The only issue that I had was on the last day of my visit. The staff member who was manning the dining room had the worst attitude. I am unsure if she was tired and did not want to be there or if that was her usual demeanor. She not only had a bad attitude with me but also with another guest in front of me. Given my previous experience, I cannot imagine that the hotel condones such a lack of professionalism.

This place is amazing. We will be back!

Comfortable beds, very clean bathroom, friendly front desk staff,Nice pool but the jacuzzi was cold.

Everything was clean and the staff was professional and friendly.

Loved everything about it will definitely be back. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. The staff was amazing the breakfast was amazing. Location was amazing for us to be back-and-forth at the NRG stadium for a basketball tournament. The shuttle was prompt and responsive. I could go on and on. It was amazing.

It was close to my son’s graduation from the dental school.

The breakfast option was nice as it was included with my stay. It’s in the medical district so if your visiting for that its close to everything, but as someone who was there for pleasure it was a bit far from other tourist/leisure places. However it’s really easy to either park your car in the garage or just Uber from the hotel since it’s not too far from downtown. The staff were nice and the rooms were clean! I was in a studio room and there was daily basic housekeeping but if you wanted to have a full clean you just call in the morning before leaving the room and they’ll have it done later that day (make sure to call before 12pm). Checking in was super easy and so was checking out since they have an online option for checkout. When I come back to Houston I will definitely stay here again!

Also our room was cleaned only every other day; not a problem for us as we're not messy. If you had kids/etc that could be an issue. For our needs would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night. It was very convenient to the medical center. There were many nearby restaurants. The room contained a fridge, stovetop, convection oven, and dishwasher. There was a large pool area with many places to sit and relax.

Nice place for the money pretty comfortable beds and the place is clean. Breakfast is not great, but it's food, and it's free. I would definitely stay again.
