We came for the World Cup game on Sunday and we loved the location. Unfortunately we experienced some construction noise outside in the morning but thats not the reason for the 3 star review. We had breakfast Monday morning June 15th and the reason is I am writing the review for your training mostly since I am a hotel manager myself. Your breakfast staff needs a lot of training starting from the host to the server and especially the most miserable older Mexican omelette station person. We approached her and she did not even bother to acknowledge us. Instead a friendly hello or good morning she was more concerned about the cleanliness of her ingredients station. We stood there at least 1 minute while she kept on cleaning then she surprisingly continued in a very rude manner to take our order and mentioned cannot read the sign it’s written there to chose your ingredients and then bring them to me… omelets will be ready in 4 minutes come and pick up. Wow we were almost afraid of going back to such a hostile person who sadly in the end ruined the overall experience. Bell staff and front Desk were very friendly and so was the service suppport person who was the only one who really understands what service means. Hopefully you will have a chance to correct that type of service behavior to improve your service in the restaurant overall.

I had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and well organized. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurants were easy to locate including a Starbucks right in the hotel. I loved that it was right next to the Toyota Centre so if you have an event there it’s 5 steps from the hotel. This hotel also has a spa with lockers and also a fully equipped gym.

The hotel overall was okay, now there’s a few key issues with it, the AC in the room is controlled and it doesn’t go under 66 degrees which for Houston is not cold, you’ll be very hot at night, the TV volume will not go above 30 which means you can barely hear it, the bathroom door has 0 privacy, all sounds and smells will go out to the room, the pool has no supervision whatsoever and kids will make your time completely insufferable, if you are looking to enjoy the pool you need to go very early in the morning or else it will be full of kids jumping, screaming and throwing things around you!!!

Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel room was excellent. We were charged twice for parking. Once as a miscellaneous debit and another as a point of sale. I called valet parking and the reservation desk. I was transferred to the financial department. I left a voicemail but no one returned my call, but one of the charges was removed.

I was not given the room type I paid for, and they didn’t put my information into their system properly so never had internet access.

With 50,000 people at the convention center next door, only 2 of the 6 west elevators were working, making every morning a frustration.

Lobby bar always good. Rooftop lounge needed more help at the bar. Price was very high in my opinion for a place that was overrun with school groups there for a competition. The attached restaurant Pappasitos was a HUGE disappointment! Overpriced-got chips but they said they were out of salsa. Staff were all busy celebrating something in kitchen so our service was horrible. Cold tortilla soup served. $50 mediocre fajitas.

We had a great stay this weekend! Anything you needed was in the hotel. Great food and drinks! Pool and hot tub were awesome! We will definitely add this to the list of hotels to stay at in Houston

The property is right in the center of downtown - connected to the George R Brown convention center and right between the Toyota Center (Houston Rockets basketball) and Daikin Park (Astros baseball). The restaurants were very good. Pappasito's is a great Tex-Mex place. They also have a sizeable fitness center and a nice executive lounge. The only issue with these is they are at the west end of the hotel so if your room is on the east side you have to walk all the way down to the far end for the elevators to get to floors > 19, which is where the fitness center and lounge are locates (floors 23 and 24).

At the hotel restaurant where breakfast is served, the food is delicious and the entire staff is very friendly. Modesta, Paulina, and Carmen made me feel right at home; I am grateful for their kind attention.

Even though there were a few conventions going on and the hotel seemed busy our floor was very quiet. Property was wonderful and near a few different restaurants. Would stay here again if going to a ball game or convention.

The property was beautiful on the inside, and accommodating to my recent surgery needs. The room was clean and beds comfortable! Lack of pool monitoring / behavior monitoring by some guest. The poor behavior made it unpleasant for for others to swim. Having a staff member ensuring proper rules are being followed, behaviors, and noise levels would have been nice especially for smaller children to enjoy the pool equally.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but to be expected. We had to pay $70 for valet over night and $70 for a buffet breakfast for 2 adults

The hotel was connected to the George R Brown convention center and to the parking garage. The booking said a King bed, it was actually a queen bed. The shower/bath tub was left running with a steady drip and the drain closed. When we checked in there was 5 inches of water that had filled up in the tub. There was also a hidden requirement for them to charge $300 to a card that they would refund after the stay. There was no time frame for when the money would be back in my account. They charged us twice for parking and had to fight for them to reverse the double charges.

The ambiance and Christmas decor were fantastic. It was so festive and welcoming. The breakfast was great, and having Santa there was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be making a stay here in December an annual tradition for a staycation girls weekend. Five star!

There was some kind of electrical compound just outside our window and every 10 min a voice on a loud speaker would start shouting something and some blue and red lights would flash, we did not sleep the entire night. When booked I bought breakfast included and you charged us Addional 70 dollars for a couple eggs never again

Self parking was atrocious. There’s no real information given unless you actually contact the hotel. The “guards” at the garage, which is across from the Hilton, are useless. I was attempting to ask them a question in regard to parking because my truck is lifted and I paid for parking but wouldn’t fit and they had the worst attitude. They are literally the first people you have contact with when entering the garage. The off duty officers working there were really helpful and friendly.

Hilton America is the best place to stay, parking, is connected to a bridge to walk straight to the hotel lobby, bridge connected straight to the convention center. Rooms were clean, fast check-in, quiet hallways.

Found something in the sheets that was yellow and wet, just put a towel on it. Carpets were worn and dated. Had to ask a lot of questions just to find out about every detail of the hotel. Would not recommend.

This hotel smells great. Any service you seek, you will recieve ultimate professionalism. The food and drinks are outstanding. I have stayed at this property three times and my park view hotel room is impeccable. This is my go to property whenever i visit Houston Texas.

Clean, convenient and great service. The parking was a little confusing as they did not explain that we had the option to self parking and it needed to be paid as well. They told me the only option was vallet.

I was disappointed that our bathroom sink was completely clogged up on first use. Can't imagine that housekeeping wouldn't have encountered this when cleaning up after prior guests. Engineering was dispatched and did clear the clogged drain. Unfortunately, they also removed the stopper entirely which left a stench emanating from the drain. Needless to say we were grossed out trying to brush our teeth or use the sink altogether.

Everyone was great we had such a good time. I would say it’s very family friendly especially the pool area. There were so many kids and families at the pool the only downfall for me wanting chill pool time lol. The front desk was so friendly The woman that helped me I can’t remember if her name is Debra or Brenda but she was amazing!

We stayed at the Hilton for its proximity to the Toyota Center. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, the deadbolt on the door was broken, and the in room dining was not fit to eat.

Excellent facility. Staff was kind. Valet parking was efficient, but expensive. Pillows/Bed linens had a mildew scent.

There are too many options available to eat around the hotel and it looked like there was construction or something going on so a lot of the doors weren’t working which was weird but other than that it was great

Great space if you want to relax. Amazing pool and overall very clean.

Everything was really good. We attended a Sneaker Ball for the Labor Day Classic football game between Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M Univ, and everything, from the service to the overall atmosphere, was great.

Great customer service at the front desk and clean room. I had a great view over looking Discovery Green. The only minor thing was hot water was hit and miss. Also I wished they had microwaves in the room. Still I would stay there again.

We really enjoyed access to a variety of quality restaurants & Discovery Green park. It was a nice and quiet staycation for us.

Great hotel, walking distance to baseball, basketball and convention center.. the only bad thing I can say and it’s not a huge thing is I wish security would walk the floors occasionally or more often if they do..as people were listening to music and you could hear it in the halls and on another occasion people were arguing in the hall for a while and it was really loud but I’m sure that rarely happens .. but other than that the hotel is great, staff was great check-in and check out was easy.

I’ve stayed at Hilton Americas houston many times and have always enjoyed it. The room service staff is friendly and competent. The restaurant staff is excellent. The buffet breakfast is legendary, one of the best I’ve ever had, and it includes a fantastic omelet bar. The lobby bar is also legendary. It’s very big with a great selection of side dishes. The bridge from hotel to the George R Brown convention center is handy, especially in the summer!

We absolutely loved this hotel! Staff were very friendly, room and view were great and all you needed was under one roof! The only thing I did not like was that self-park was $40. Additionally, we were charged a parking fee for 3 days when we checked in at 7:30pm on Friday and checked out at 10:30am on Sunday, totaling $120 to self park.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for our anniversary. The staff were very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Joe at front desk was very helpful and informative as we checked in. I would definitely recommend staying at the Hilton Americas

Great experience outstanding.

Breakfast and food options are great. Rooms are well kept. Lobby is spacious and clean, pool and jacuzzi was great. We enjoyed wonderful views of the city from our room. The hotel is in great walking distance to event center and restaurants. Staff was helpful & the bed was comfortable, i definitely enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. As a side note parking is $40 a day so just plan for it!

We stayed here because it was right next door to the Toyota Center. The hotel is a gorgeous property. The area surrounding the hotel was very nice... food, entertainment, and green space. We had a drink at one of the bars. The drink was great and the service was wonderful. We had a late night snack and one of the restaurants, even though they got slammed by a big crowd, I felt like they handled it well. The food was great. We would definitely recommend this property and will plan to stay here in the future. My only complaint was that the check in line (including Hilton Honors) was slow.

The issues —a dismal experience, low-quality breakfast- uncooked sausage, a strange voucher for a lobby meal instead of evening appetizers on the Concierge floor, and a room that felt more like a Holiday Inn—are not what I expected from a high-end hotel experience. It's frustrating when the quality of the service and amenities doesn't match the price. I will not stay here, again.

Property is perfectly located wonderful ambience, great staff, lots of food options and entertainment. Unfortunately, because I booked on Expedia, I did not get Hilton honors points.

The staff was very friendly and location of the hotel was great. It was centrally located near many restaurants. There was no shopping nearby so that was a bit of a disappointment. The hotel gift shop was convenient but severely overpriced. The room itself was very disappointing. The room had very old carpet and looked incredibly dirty. The bathroom door was not a door with a hinge but a sliding barn door with a two inch gap between the wall and the door. There was no level of privacy using the bathroom when sharing the room with more than one person. I would not stay here again since there are plenty of other high end hotel options nearby to choose from.

Great stay, specifically the corner bedroom with amazing views.

inside the hotel was perfect, everything was clean and staff was very nice. Outside of the hotel was okay, the day that we arrived was a little difficult to find somewhere to eat because my kids wanted pasta and the place down the streen at the convention center was closed. But other than that everything was great.

Came to watch an Astros game and enjoyed the hotel as it’s conveniently located not too far from the stadium. Definitely stay here when in Houston.
