    The first room the key didn’t work. The second room smelled like mildew and I went and bought Lysol because I was a little nervous. Had an empty blue in I guess to attempt to cover the smell. My room had roaches (baby ones). I hope that I didn’t bring any home. The front desk offered me some snacks. If I seen roaches…why offered me something to eat. I will never book again

    What hotel runs out of coffee??? The bed was hard. No kleenex in the room and ran out of toilet paper. I was there three nights , my room was not cleaned the whole time I was there. You had to buy breakfast so I bought a yogurt and some cereal in their lobby, and they had no spoons anywhere?? There was an odor in the place as well. However It was cheap so i guess you get what you pay for.... I just expected better

    There are incredable loud noises coming from the roof. It sounds like cars are being dropped on it. Then there is the consistent noise of a large machine going on and off . This was probably an okay place to stay at one time. There is maintenance needed. The grounds around the building are not taken care of. We were in the room for 30 mins tops and immediately called Hotels.com for a cancellation and checked into another hotel in a different area. The front desk personnel were nice and courtious. Hotels.com were amazing. We called, told them the situation and they immediately contacted Candlewood to make the cancellation. No hassle from Hotel or the Candlewood.

    Nrg close, no shuttle. Pool not available to use. Weed smell as soon as you walk in lobby and exit the elevator. The room had prior people clothes and towels still in it. Disnwasher not close. Lamp was hanging by wire so scared to use. Ac in bedroom horrible. Fold out sofa not close so couch and sleeper sofa not able to use as well. Pictures very misconceiving. One maid was very nice. Complained to front desk. Nothing happened. Horrible experience for what i paid. Will not use service again.

    This hotel was OK. It’s older and a bit rundown. I paid the premium price because it was during the rodeo. It definitely was not worth that price, but it was convenient. It’s doable for a place to sleep, but definitely not luxurious.

    They did the best to accommodate I requested the one suite bedroom when I arrived they had given me a different room the front desk ( didn’t get his name) did the very best to accommodate me and my son for my stay the housekeepers did the above and beyond to make sure my room is clean. Maintenance came by to double check bathroom make sure everything was working will definitely stay again

    staff very rude. Charging for incidentals when the week before when I stayed they didn't. When asking about it I asked what incidentals... the pantry area was barely stocked with items for purchase. The manager tried to stare me down then told us to leave. Will never go back there again

    There were roaches every time you came back to the room after couple hrs. Room was hot ac didn't cool down the bedroom. Floors and carpet were sticky couches stained. The outside of building looked really nice, but inside was a disaster was wanting to cancel but didn't have the funds to get a different place cuz refund would of took days to get back. Called to talk to manager when he was in but was told by front desk that he was busy to leave number for him to call back and I'm still waiting for the call back this was by far the worst hotel I've stayed at in Houston for dr visits. The elevators smelled like urine when you got off elevator the hall to the rooms carpet was all stained and smelled like urine. Do not go by the pictures on the internet it's a huge scam. Never staying here again and will let anyone that goes to steer away from here. When walking out to put luggage away some manager lady came out asking of we were already checking out.RUSHED.

    I only stayed one night or else I would have asked for a different room. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. Except 1. The remote for the tv didn't work. 2.One of the bathroom cabinet doors was ripped out. 3. There was a dime size hole in the fitted sheet. 4. The coffee maker had broken parts, it worked but it was difficult to remove the pot. 5. The kitchenette was missing a fire extinguisher. 6. The toilet tank handle didn't work properly, so I had to remove the lid off and manually flush the tank. I notified the management when I checked out . The manager asked me I could have notified the night crew. I told the morning manager I was only staying obe night. Or else I would have for a longer stay. Needless to say I told the manager I was letting them know of the issues because I didn't want to be charged for items that were already broken. You decide if the price is worth it. I think next time I will go back and stay at the 5 stars grade 9 hotels and above. Sorry Candlewood. Also this is a privately owned property so you can tell difference.

The door to our room had to be opened by throwing my body weight against the door. There was a bad smell in the hallway. There were insufficient baggage carts. My wife did not feel physically safe. I cautioned her against going out into the common areas alone.

    The welcoming to the room was Roaches, and the smell in the room was like mold and dog piss mix together, I had to move to a different hotel the very next day. The front desk try to help and move us to a different room that was worst than the first. If you like to sleep in a clean place that’s not the place you should stay!

    It's a nice place with a nice staff. The rooms have full size refrigerators which I like. The traffic can make it hard to get out onto the road sometimes.

    The pictures on the website seem nicer than onsite. The hotel had a wierd stench. Rugs were stained throughout hotel. No ice machine. No pool available at the time. It was under construction. We walked in to the room and there were 2 roaches. The air conditioner didn’t work, the rooms were hot. The cabinet was broken in the bathroom. Coffee maker downstairs in the lobby the next day while I was making a cup of coffee out of the automatic machine had 2 roaches running around the food area. I spoke to the front desk, and very politely told them about it. The staff was friendly and no other issues. I’m not one to complain but I was kind of disappointed. My daughter and I drove 10 hours for a concert and stayed 2 nights. The cleaning staff didn’t even give us clean towels or even come in to do upkeep while we were gone.

    Staff was real nice and accommodating, especially for the inconvenience. There was roaches in one room and then they were moving us to another room and they had more roaches after speaking with the manager and Expedia. I was able to get a full refund that same night, but, then was having to look for another room at 1 o’clock in the morning. Expedia was not much help trying to locate another room.

I was able to get a full refund that same night, but, then was having to look for another room at 1 o’clock in the morning. Expedia was not much help trying to locate another room.

    Nothing I liked about the stay!!! There were roaches every time you came back to the room after couple hrs. Room was hot ac didn't cool down the bedroom. Floors and carpet were sticky couches stained. The outside of building looked really nice, but inside was a disaster was wanting to cancel but didn't have the funds to get a different place cuz refund would of took days to get back. Called to talk to manager when he was in but was told by front desk that he was busy to leave number for him to call back and I'm still waiting for the call back this was by far the worst hotel I've stayed at in Houston for dr visits. The elevators smelled like urine when you got off elevator the hall to the rooms carpet was all stained and smelled like urine. Do not go by the pictures on the internet it's a huge scam. Never staying here again and will let anyone that goes to steer away from here. When walking out to put luggage away some manager lady came out asking of we were already checking out.RUSHED.     This property wasn’t clean. The tv didn’t work. The time on the tv was off so you couldn’t get any live tv and it wouldn’t connect to any internet so there was no ability to watch tv. The bed smelled and there were hardly any towels for the shower. They had shampoo and conditioner and body wash but it was hard to get the body wash out of container. There was no mat in the bathtub so I was careful as it felt a bit slippery. All in all we booked this place to go to a concert in the area. The cleanliness had a lot to be desired. Small interaction with staff but they were friendly.

Had to hold my breath from elevator to my room due to the stench. Felt very unsafe on property. Appeared part of the hotel was being used for housing. We had to switch rooms mid stay due to noise from room above us. The new room had wet carpet from the air conditioning unit to under our bed. I left two days early with no refund. No reflection on the staff and I feel this is more management but stay away from this hotel!

    Location only The hotel was filthy and smelled horrible. The front desk had no clue what they were doing. I was working on Houston Rodeo and came in late. The computer system was down for over 45 minutes, and he could not get me in a room. Several people came down that their keys to their room did not work. It was a terrible experience. Not to mention, I paid for my room on Booking.com and they charged me over $150 in fees that I have no idea what they are!

    Internet and location. I have stayed at Candlewood Suites twice before—once in Virginia and once in Dallas—and both experiences were amazing. However, this particular stay has been extremely disappointing. The room was infested with cockroaches, and the fixtures, including the ironing board, were in terrible shape. The elevator was agonizingly slow, taking forever to move between floors. The gym was another letdown, with broken equipment, and to top it off, there was only one dumbbell of each size—something I’ve never seen in any gym before. One morning, I went for coffee only to find they had run out of cups. The next day, I brought my own cup, but the coffee machine was out of order. It felt like no one was paying attention to the property’s upkeep. My previous stay in Dallas (Las Colinas) was hassle-free, lasting four straight weeks. I had planned to extend my current stay by another two weeks, but given the poor conditions, I had no choice but to reconsider. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to formally complain, but it’s evident that the property owners aren’t prioritizing these issues.

    It was a moist feel in the car and on the carpet.. I could feel the springs in the bed because it is was old and uncomfortable. It had broken cabinets and so much more.. On top of all this when I got back to my room late the second day, my room had not been cleaned and then when I called for clean towels I had to bring my dirty towels to them and get new towels to even shower..

    I am very unhappy. I was told there was a crib that could be brought to the room so I didn't bring my daughters portable crib with us. When I went to check in and asked if the crib was in the room the clerk laughed and said "we don't have no cribs." The air conditioner barely worked so we had to put the mattress on the floor in front of the ac just to keep from sweating. There were also a bunch of people roaming around the parking lot and they were blaring music at 3 am. This hotel was NOT worth $120 a night.

    I accidently left a bag of hang up clothes in a clothes bag in the closet. I called the front desk to retrieve the bag to be picked up. The bag had disappeared only house keeping went into the room. House keeping stole my bag and its content.. I jad only been gone from the location for a few hours and at the time i was told the room hadnt been cleaned yet. Housekeeping is the only ones that had access to the room. It has key cards.. And they only knew to go in after I said the bag was there.

    I really enjoyed the room and the space was perfect! The only sketchy part is the surrounding neighborhood and some of the clientele. I would suggest they fix the pool and the upgrade that gym! Otherwise, thank you!

    It is in walking distance to NRG and close to good restaurants, but the hotel is not well maintained. Smelled very musty in room and air unit was very loud. Staff was very nice but only would recommend if you want the great location to NRG

    Staff was nice and helpful. Room left a lot to be desired. The room had a kitchenette, the kitchen floor was sticky and there was food left in the refrigerator from a previous guest. The carpet in the rest of the room was gritty feeling, my son and I had to wipe the grit off our feet before putting on our socks.

    Our stay was great, we arrived early and we’re allowed to check-in a couple hours early. The room and facilities were very clean!! I loved the water pressure in the shower…it was calming and refreshing after a 3hr drive to get there. I will definitely book here again when I return.

    It was warm on the elevator and hot on our floor hallway but temperature was good in the room. Had problems with the toilet not flushing but maintenance came & fixed it in a timely manner. For an overnight stay it was good I’ll probably book again.

    There were infestation of roaches on the bed. A Front desk gentleman who wrote his down as being "Alexis" without a work badge on told me to leave the property and he refused to refund or give me another room. And he told me to contact Expedia to cancel the reservation and Expedia would provide the refund. Please refund my money if I am being told to leave.

    Would not recommend this hotel. At 1am every night the fire alarm went off the hotel smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. The rooms are not very clean and have a moldy odor. When we complain to the hotel front desk. we were told we are sorry and they was told there was nothing they could do and the fire alarm going off was out of their control because someone was smoking in the room mind you this is a smoke-free hotel.

    This place is a 1 star at best. Location is right be freeway so you get that noise. Then, it’s in a rather decrepit part of town. So, you don’t want to be alone at night going to your car. The pool was shut down by the city. Our room had ceiling paint falling on the pullout couch during the night for a horribly done patch job over a major leak they repaired. Hallways and paint needing refresh 20 years ago

    The room was very clean and nice. We were going to NRG stadium and walked back after the event and it was just a little too far to be convenient. There is a lot of fast food connected to the parking lot. The ice machines were taken out but I asked for some ice as we were walking out and the lady at the front desk was nice enough to get some from the back for me. The main downside was that some type of fire alarm went off every night we were there at like 1:30 in the morning.

    Also great station for free coffee and goodies available to purchase for very reasonable prices. They should improve the A/C system that is still the window type, noisy but efficient. Pool was not open all the time of my stay (one week) neither one of the elevators. They could probably use more maintenance. A single elevator doing all the lifting work is not safe nor convenient. Very kind housekeeping and great helpers. Marta agreed to make my room in the middle of my long stay, even that by default they only offer to do it once a week. Will return for sure, but not a third time if they do not improve the maintenance.

    Driving into the property was a bit of a challenge as you had to go through other parking lots to get to it and the turn into it from Main Street could only be accomplished from one direction, without a long turnaround area when traveling the opposite direction. The pool was out of service due to maintenance issues. However, the people at the front desk and housekeeping was awesome. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable.
