Best Western Plus North Houston Inn & Suites

Traveled from Chicago for funeral services. Day I checked in first thing wrong was the TV not working. Front desk said to do this, that and the other so it would turn on. No time since I needed to get ready. I went to the wake and returned to the room to discover my door did not lock from the outside. Anyone could have just walked in at any point. I called the front desk from my own phone because the hotel phone does not work. I explained to her my that the door isn't locking from the outside so she comes up to my room to see for herself. She sees it doesn't work and asked how many days I'm staying......3 nights but what dies that have to do with anything. I told her I need another room and I'm not staying in room #316 with a broken lock. The 2nd room was unacceptable!!! The sheets and big brown and yellow stains on the blanket I was to cover up with. The pillow had black stains on it, possibly mascara and had looked used. The most disgusting thing in that room was a blue sofa chair. It looked like it was used to make an adult movie with all the body fluids to prove it!!! This chair was should have been thrown away. I called the front desk again and made the girl give me another room and come back upstairs to see that I wasn't exaggerating and asked her how is this even acceptable? Finally the 3rd room was ok, mainly because I was tired and it was going to be midnight and I had the funeral in the morning. First time in Houston, LAST TIME HERE!!!

I will not return to this hotel, also the room had had a small like mildew and the water in the shower came out orange color there was bugs flying around in the bathroom. I had go buy some cleaning supplies to spray the room.

Nothing, it is a terrible place, not safe Where do I start?! I was initially put in a room that was not cleaned. The toilet seat was filthy. I requested a change and that new room was not any better. The bed was squeaky, rusted on the fridge, stains on the carpet, no duvet on the bed, just a small brown thing and a sheet to cover myself. The worst of all I couldn't sleep with the constant smell of weed and loud tv noise from the adjourning room, which has a door into my room (locked though). If you value your life and health, don't go to this hotel. I bought water from the vending machine, and it came out like the bottle had been tempered with. The towel in the bathroom was filthy with stains. Pictures below

Stayed for 3 nights. On the last day, they charged me a smoking fee of $300, which none of us smoke or vape. They said there are sensors in the room that caught it at 10AM. I tried asking them to remove it and every person I spoke to said “the magnet is the only one who can remove it and they won’t, just file a dispute with your credit card”. Just ridiculous that every staff member just went straight to file a dispute.

Large rooms, cheap breakfast. This hotel is like a cheap Sleep Inn. The rooms were clean but the towels were not. They needed a bleach and maybe a fabric softener. This management knows how to charge $25 for 40 minutes early check in, but doesn't know to give you a bottle of water. Overpriced for the area. I may never go to this Best Western again.

This is not a VIP Expedia Hotel. They don’t give the perks they supposed to give. Expedia Attention.

The room was clean. Sheets were faintly stained. The AC worked fine. Laundry room was good (only had 1 washer 1 dryer). Fitness room only had treadmill. Staff was friendly.

I initially liked the price because ive stayed at BW+ before and it was extremely nice but cheaper then the 100 a night paid here. I typically pay 100+ a night for rooms when traveling. The staff though you can tell overworked gave ridiculous reasons for them not having majority of things. They don't sale water/drinks and vending machines work taking money but not dispensing products through the front desk was aware no signs were placed on machines at all The blanket on the bed was dirty it could not be replaced because there were not extra blankets on premise, meanwhile there were never more the 10 cars parked outside at a time, so it wasn't common sense to take one from another room and five to us.

Close to airport as required it to be closer to airport, and very easy access to 45 south. Breakfast good and fresh but lesser options. Kind of old. AC was noisy but I didn’t require it so I shut it off.

Wow!!!! This place is just what I was looking for. Ppl there are very polite they clean you room everyday if need it. I will recommend it. Is not a 5 stars. So dont get confused.

The room That staff wasn't not present or readily available I asked for a bath towel the morning of check out and was told they ran out and all they have a swimming size towels which are much smaller and that the hotel was booked to its capacity and guest leave with the towels so they are completely out of bath towels The gym had a work out bench but no weights

Hands down, this is one of the best hotel stays my family has had. The front desk attendant was very friendly and check in was quick. The room was quiet, clean, well maintained and best of all free of unpleasant odors! The bed was comfortable, and the 5-star-hotel quality continental breakfast was fresh and amazing. The self-serve omelet maker was a first for us at a Best Western hotel! We will definitely stay here again when in Houston. Highly recommended.

I just wish security around parking lot.. i mean hotel is great staff is also great!! Just around between 11 pm to 3am.. people walk n drive in and break in cars. You work hard for ur things me myself they need a live body out r in a car for parking lot. I had to replace a window for a flashlight!! Now that crumming if i haven't ever head of it sad n its on you to fix ur item u work hard for.. besides that nice place but damn really

Horrible staff! Gave me a room with a mold infested A/C unit even though I told them that I'd just gotten out of the hospital from being exposed to mold at a different hotel. The housekeeper tried to force me to leave my room in order to clean it. The breakfast food gave me terrible diarrhea for 12 hours. The remote didn't work for the TV. The front desk male agent was unprofessional, not answering the phone while having a personal conversation with some guy. The front desk female went from being really nice to argumentative when I told her that I wasn't going to leave my room and my personal belongings while the housekeeper came to clean. I will never ever stay at another Best Western because of my experience here!

When I told them that I didn't feel well due to getting sick from their breakfast food, they refused to provide housekeeping. The A/C unit had visible black mold spores on it affecting my asthma but the receptionist lied claiming that it was clean even though I had photos of the black mold spores on the exterior of the A/C unit. I ended up with a food borne illnesses within 4-6 hours after eating their breakfast. I experienced extreme nausea and diarrhea multiple times in one day after eating their breakfast. The receptionist tried to argue with me about leaving my room so the housekeeper could clean it but failed to mention at check-in the day before that that was their hotel policy. Unprofessional staff, unclean rooms, moldy A/C units and a very unpleasant stay. I will never book at this hotel ever again. I have Graves disease and asthma, and the mold exposure caused me to not be able to use the A/C unit and it was very hot in the room. The staff could care less about their customers.

This hotel was good for my purpose of a one night stay before early morning flight from IAH. The room was clean and recently painted. The downside was the pillows were uncomfortable as I need a soft pillow for my neck. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. I would stay there again.

Not a picky person, but the floor had a stain, one of the beds had a stain on the sheets that was decent and a long piece of hair and the other bed had a hole in the sheet. Not sure the room was serviced before us properly. Breakfast was so so.

First, I want to say that the entire staff is outstanding - reception, food service, and housekeeping. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Thank you. Breakfast was excellent – waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, fruit and juice. Great start to the day. The hotel is a little older, but it’s clean and well maintained. The only thing I could have asked for were more substantial blankets. They were very light, and some people get cold at night. But I would definitely stay here again.

Tried to call 4 separate times and the phone didn’t work .. we both went down twice to see about the water and were told the plumber was coming In 30 min.. thirty mins was over an hour actually. Was told they’d call me to discus compensation… that hasn’t happened. So I’ll be going to my card company about this and calling corporate.

It worked once and then got clogged up. Breakfast ends at 9. Went down at 8:30 and there were only scraps. We did not feel safe at hotel and on the property parking lot. We left for that reason. Questioned if security was provided and never saw the red car she stated was security. The two bathroom towels were pool towels. The pool was green and exterior building damage. I wanted a refund or credit.

Comfortable stay!

Was there for a weekend with my son and I had no issues at all. I’m very funny about hotels. They accommodated me well. Clean room. Comfortable, clean bathrooms. Lobby area was simple and chill. Not a noisy place. Staff was cool and sweet. They have the dopest coffee machine. Breakfast was good also. Nothing over the top, but it was enough to get you full for free. I have no complaints about my stay. Will be booking again.

The room was spacious and reasonably clean. There were some odours reminiscent of an old apartment building but didn’t bother me. Bed was comfortable and had no concerning smells, a few old stains here and there but that’s okay. Complimentary breakfast was good enough to start the day, good selection of classic breakfast items (eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, DIY waffles and pancakes, fruit, and beverages). My only real complaint was the shower; mine had very low water pressure and a fixed shower head so getting clean took a while.

I enjoyed the stay. The only thing I didn’t like is the room that they gave me was handicap accessible and I didn’t get a room with a tub I got a room with the handicap chair that rolls into the shower, but I’m not handicap, and water was everywhere in the bathroom. Also my son found some small towels that was dirty but the front desk did accommodate me with way more towels than I needed and I was thankful. Breakfast was good and the area is safe.

The breakfast was good, not great! Just scramble eggs, walffes, cereal, potatoes and sausage! Our room was good, except the lamp shades were very old, The bed and shower were great.I would stay here again,.The front desk staff were friendly!

The property is located close to an interstate highway which was a bit noisy, but not too bad when in the room with the A/C running. On the other hand, the A/C unit was also loud. On the first room, the door handle did not automatically lock when leaving the room, so the person at reception immediately gave us another room. The door handle on the second room locked, but the screw for the handle was almost coming out. Otherwise, most everything else was functional.

Everything was perfect, front desk was respectful, and nice, room was cleaned, everything in room worked, pool was nice and clean and hotel wasn't to far from anyplace you needed to go and also got my deposit back fast, I will stay here again

We loved the jetted tub. Service was excellent

Staff customer service was excellent. Mr. Jai at the front desk was very nice, courteous, understood my needs and thus helped me accordingly.
