Excellent location with beautiful views. The hotel is perfectly situated, offering stunning scenery and a great overall atmosphere. The room did not have air conditioning, which made it quite warm. A standing fan was provided, but we still had to keep the window open to cool the room down.

Great location for our stay in Heidelberg. Nothing

Perfect location. Quaint and adorable hotel. Wonderful staff.

Decor in restaurant, views, nice room with balcony. Comfortable bed. We didn’t realize that it was so high above the city and since we didn’t have a car, had unexpected costs for taxis and the Bergbahn. We did walk down the trail once, but the path was wet and muddy. You can also walk down using the sidewalk along the steep windy street, but it was too steep for us to walk up, so had to take taxi back at night.

Exceptional

Location. Room decor. Transparent bathroom door (It happens more and more in hotels. Is it a fetish to see your roommate defecating?). No way to block light from the bathroom due to transparent door and absence of blinds or curtains. No shower gel provided. Reception staff nowhere to be found, had to wait long and finally go look around to find someone. Reception staff was hasty and unwelcoming, did not provide any sort of orientation.

Location is above the old town with fabulous views and easy access with a modern funiculaire. The staff were very helpful, especially the gentleman who was on morning duties. A lovely experience and very tranquil. Not applicable.

The hilltop location offers stunning views of town and castle. We ate an enjoyable dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was delicious. Plenty of onsite free parking. Our room was small though view was lovely.

Loved the location, the grounds and the quietness, plus the interior decor in the common areas and terrace was nice. The bathroom amenities could have been better, but it's a very minor issue

The view from the hotel is amazing. Beds are comfortable. Free parking. The funicular has apparently been out of order for months. This makes it challenging to get to town and back. Replacement bus only operates until 17.00, so you need to walk back up the hill or call a taxi. Would have been good to have known this when booking. Slightly disappointed by the lady at the reception. Not really customer focused. The man at breakfast however made up for that. He was very hospitable and friendly.

Very good

The rooms were small but comfortable and clean. The bed was nice to sleep in and the bathroom area was nicely sized. It was also a very quiet area, which allowed for a good night's rest. There is a television available, a mini fridge, and a safe. If you like hiking, the hotel is a perfect starting point to go up to Königstuhl in the morning. During dinner and breakfast service, there was only one person tending to the tables. I can't fault him, because that is very hard to do, but it was a bit awkward trying to find out where I should wait to be seated for dinner or whether I can just choose any table for breakfast. They also didn't immediately give you all the information required by email or as a flyer in the room, like how dinner, breakfast, or room service works, so you have to ask about that.

Great view, clean and helpful staffs! None, Just if you are using public transportation from city center to the hotel, you may need some attentions so not to miss the transit on the way :)
