Location is the best, the host Carment is very helpful and friendly. She always helps us with big smiles. Room was tidy and comfortable. We will recommend it definitely.

The property is very clean and organized. It has plenty of showers available and I didn’t face any kind of waiting to take a shower. The location is excellent, just at the start of the castle path and close to the main street. I would certainly stay at Lotte - The Backpackers again in case I go to Heidelberg.

I stayed at this hostel and it’s honestly the best one I’ve ever experienced. Its location couldn’t be better—right next to the castle and in the heart of the old town, which makes everything feel magical from the moment you step outside. What truly makes this place special, though, is the people who run it—especially Carmen and Barbra. They create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that you immediately feel at home. In fact, the first thing I said to Carmen was, “It feels like home ✌️”. The hostel itself is full of character. The walls are decorated with photos from travelers who’ve stayed here over the years, and the bright colors bring so much life and inspiration to the space. One of my favorite parts was the well-equipped kitchen and the cozy living room. It’s the perfect place to sit, relax, and connect with other guests—you’ll definitely leave with new friends. I felt so safe, comfortable, and truly at home here. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did ?

The shared bedroom is just ordinary one you will see in other hostels, but it’s clean and bright and spacious, so not much to complain about. BUT! Its bathroom, toilet, kitchen, and living room are all incredibly clean and cozy, the owner really took a lot of effort maintaining the space. You can even tell their love to the house by decoration and arrangement of furnitures. It’s a really nice place to stay, if I’ll come back to Heidelberg again, that’s my first choice to stay. Roommates moving in the room might cause some noise, but that happens to all hotels’ shared rooms, so it’s not really a big deal to me.

They had female only rooms. Relaxed environment, friendly, and very clean. The mattress was a bit uneven.

Great bedrooms. Excellent kitchen and lounge with great resources, coffee, tea, and cereal. The staff is amazing. Carmen was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. One of the top hostels I have stayed in.
