Spark by Hilton Grapevine DFW North

This is a remodel hotel. It has musty smell. Not horrible smell. Everything has been updated and very clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The reason I gave it 4 star is the air conditioner. Set at 67. And it shut off and the fan turn on and off. So, night sleep wasn’t the best until we turned it 63. The room finally cooled off and it wasn’t shutting on and off every 5-10 minutes. Yes I would stay again and recommend It could have been just operator error. It is close enough o the Dallas Ft Wirth airport. Another bonus and they also have a shuttle. I did not try the breakfast because I was not hungry.

What a disaster. I booked two rooms for 4 women. Somehow my husbands name was on one room and mine on another. They would not allow me to access that room because my husband was not present. It took 3 hours and multiple calls to Expedia before the hotel accepted that the two rooms were paid for and I should not have to pay for a third room. And apparently their reason was that we have two different last names. What a way to ruin the end of a nice vacation. So dot your i's and cross your t's if you stay at this property.

The hotel was an average condition. My biggest issue was the smell of the room. It had a very powerful odor. Overall, cleanliness was OK. But I don’t think I would stay here again given a choice.

Room and facilities were clean. Breakfast is not a food bar, but cereal and bread product. Out door pool was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

What an overpriced dump! What hotel does not offer in room coffee/tea at this price point? This hotel is in need of a lot of maintenance as it shows excessive wear. Breakfast is lousy. During our stay, we had to request coffee be made two of the three days. The redeeming qualities: McDonald's is across the street so you can enjoy a good, hot breakfast and some really good restaurants are right the street in the other direction so you can enjoy lunch or dinner.

Considering the very small breakfast menu, juice dispenser had no juice. Milk and cereal but no bowls. For the price you pay. The breakfast is a very big disappointment.

There was a little bit of a funny smell in the room, but other than that it seemed clean.

Perfect location for my overnight stay close to DFW airport. Free shuttle and breakfast made this an insane value. Walked to Mi Día across the street for an amazing dinner on the patio.

Location was great for a one night layover - walking distance to Grapevine Main Street and train station for access to Fort Worth. Breakfast was perfect for what we needed - bagels, cereal, yoghurt and granola etc

It was just a normal hotel. Nothing different. No hoot water in vanity sink, fridge I couldnt alter to make it cold. Air dryer would switch to hot.

Conveniently close to the airport. Is rated > 8 on Trip Advisor, but our stay was more of a 5.5. The pool (which was a main draw) was not working and full of dirt. The quality of the rooms was poor. I also chose it for the airport shuttle, but was not able to be connected to an actual person to schedule a pickup from the airport. When I called, it directed me to a customer service robot. When I asked the robot for the phone number for the front desk, it gave me a number that went to voicemail. I ended up spending $30 on an uber to the hotel, when I chose it specifically because of the airport shuttle.

The room was clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The continental breakfast was good. I miss not having a coffee maker in my room so the second time I stayed here, I brought my own lol. The staff is very friendly. Definitely worth the money.

I stayed here with my family for a spring break vacation. The hotel was very clean, as was our room. I liked that I could text for extra towels instead of having to call. The breakfast area was very clean during our stay, and the coffee was delicious.

I let the staff know I was going to be leaving at 4:30 in the morning. The shuttle wasn't ready so we had to Uber out of there. They said there would be hot coffee and a few things of fruit left behind since we couldn't make breakfast. There was no hot water and there was no fruit so we couldn't grab anything so that was a bit disappointing, especially since we asked beforehand

We had an 9 hr overnight layover at DFW so we booked this place. They offered an easy check in, Free shuttle to and from DFW airport. The bad part is that their shuttle hours didn’t get us back to the airport for our return, and we paid $30 for the uber back to the airport. But overall, the hotel was nice and quiet. We missed the breakfast too because it started after we left. Would recommend!

We asked to be moved, and while they did accommodate us, the only available option was non-connecting rooms. Given our strict Christmas Eve schedule, we reluctantly accepted. The rooms we were moved to were still below standard. I repeatedly asked if the hotel followed a thorough cleaning protocol after guests with pets, and while staff said yes, it was very hard to believe based on the conditions. The hotel overall is not in good shape. You can smell and see the deterioration throughout; on the stairs, in the elevator, and even through the exit doors leading to the back parking lot. It honestly felt neglected and poorly maintained..We stayed two nights, and both nights I woke up groggy with a headache. I’ve stayed in cleaner, more comfortable motels than this. While the staff was at least pleasant, there was no sense of concern or remorse for the condition of the rooms, which almost made me feel as though my concerns were being dismissed. We chose this hotel solely for its proximity to downtown Grapevine, which is very close but that convenience was absolutely not worth it. I was genuinely disappointed and sad that I chose this hotel.

What was not up to Hilton's normal standards: No coffee in the room and the coffee in the breakfast area was terrible; this is a fairly new hotel but the walls and other finishes seemed old and beat up.

Our first night there was great but the second night was awful. The heater kept making a terrible noise like a metal on metal sound. Neither one of us could sleep so we packed up our stuff at 12:45 am and drove home, thankfully we only live an hour and a half from Grapevine and we got home around 2 am to sleep in our own bed.

Carina is amazing!

The girl that checked us in was a bit strange and it took her a little longer to check us in than expected. Overall, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the rest of the staff was friendly. The breakfast only had bread, cereal, oatmeal and yogurt. I'd suggest adding some fruit or other items to make it more desirable or plan on going out to get something better.

The hotel was good, service was good. The only complaint I have was the people that stayed above me allowed their child to run around the room nonstop. I called the front desk twice and told them. They said they called the guests. But nothing stopped the noise. It got so loud at one point, I thought they were going to come through my ceiling.

Elevator is slow and bumpy. Can easily hear upper floor noise at night. Orange juice at breakfast was watery. More variety at breakfast. Better fitness center please

Rooms were clean and nice. Some light switches, towel hooks, etc. weren't exactly quality craftsmanship, but it was fine. I expected the surrounding area to be a little more walkable, restaurant options close by were on the fancy side. But very close and convenient to the airport.

Had an outdoor pool which looked inviting, but I didn’t use it. Minor complaint was that they clean rooms every other day, rather than every day. I was hoping to come back to at least a made bed, but I didn’t. :(. Not a huge deal.

Our stay was quiet and the air conditioning worked great. During our check in process the woman at the front desk was friendly however was taking phone calls as a priority over the people waiting in line to check in. I recommend putting the phone on hold then dealing with them after checking in guests that are there in person.

Location is good, convenient as you are near the airport. Hotel could use a bit of a facelift as facilities are looking a little worn. Good hotel on a budget for a night or two. Bagel breakfast is good too!

My stay was just as expected. I had an easy time checking in and a clean room. We enjoyed the outside pool just before it closed and it was very peaceful. The room was comfortable and the temperature was easy to change if needed. Got a good nights sleep, which is just what we needed!

Our flight was canceled, and Spark Hotel kindly provided us with a toothbrush, water, and a comfortable bed to rest in. We are very grateful for your hospitality.

Wish they had benches out front for people who smoke. The pool area is a great place to sit and have morning coffee with your cigarette but it's not open until 9am. Other than that it was a great stay. They do offer late checkout which was very convenient.

You could barely fit anything in the tiny fridge. There was no desk chair. Just a chair puff to sit on . No clock or alarm in the room . Close to a nice steak and Mexican restaurants were nice . But I would not return to this property.

Things I didn’t like $50 early check in fee , My 7am flight was missed so by time I got everything together at the airport I needed a hotel I arrived at your hotel at 11:45am I was told $50 early check in I wasn’t told that after 1 pm I could check in for free so yes I waited in the lobby until 1pm. I got this information from Hilton Honors Representative when I called to get my number. Also the pool area wasn’t clean at all dirty towels left on chairs, table, and floor , the pool wasn’t cleaned out from the trees. When I went to take a shower from the being in the pool I went to use the soap that was on the wall that was empty I had to get a family member to call the front desk to let them know I was in the middle of taking a shower and no soap Yes, the lady came to change it I had to get out so she could use her key to replace it. And the tables in the lobby needed to be wiped off they had food particles on them. Over all the uncomfortable chairs in the lobby and paints were rally nice

Chose the hotel for convenience to the local hospital. There's always coffee and hot water for tea, 24/7. The room I had was really nice, bed comfortable, refrigerator and microwave a must for me. No complaints, highly recommend. I ubered but the convenience of shuttle to the airport was nice for those who needed it.

Location was good, not too far from downtown and the freeways and location was quiet. Staff was pleasant but the breakfast menu (bagels and dry cereal) was limited.

The hotel stay overall was good, but the bed was so stiff that I needed to follow up with a local chiropractor the morning after my first nights sleep. The pillows provided also didn't provide much support as they flattened out pretty easily and quickly.

This may seem silly, but it ruined my trip. I was there for an important work conference and it took me several days during my 5-night stay to realize that there was shower gel in the shampoo bottle in the shower and my hair was disgusting the entire time. A lot of photos and videos were taken of me at this conference and that is all I could think about at the time.

Snagged this hotel in preparation for a early flight out of DFW. The hotel was clean and well maintained. It was a great choice to get sleep before our trip back. Recommend.

Nice staff but the owners of this hotel don’t understand you can’t buy a. Old hotel and just slap a new coat of paint on it and expect customers to think it’s new. The elevator is in terrible condition, very slow and jerky. All the trim and corners in the hotel are beat up and carpet is in poor condition. Hilton is not good about holding their franchisees responsible to maintain a property to a at least good standard. The breakfast was cheap quality and the overall experience screams owners spending as little as possible to get by, they just don’t get that customers notice. Hilton should be ashamed.

Very conveniently located hotel; friendly & helpful staff. Elevator could use some maintenance, but overall a very good stay.

We had to request a move from our room due to a wet dog smell, 2nd room was also smelly just not as bad then finally the 3rd room was tolerable. 2nd complaint was that the temperature in the room was never cool even after the air conditioner temperature was adjusted. Overall I expected more staying at a Hilton hotel,

Hotel breakfast was horrible. The reason we stayed was because it offered breakfast and for what you pay for hotel I could have gotten a better hotel with warm breakfast. The restrooms had hair on toilet seat and sink. There was no coffee in rooms. The 24/7 complimentary coffee was out for breakfast. They had a minimal sad breakfast. Apples ripped, bagel, water down milk. They had no warm breakfast, juice machine was not working no juice. No coffee, no eggs or waffles. Cereal pouches with cherrios and Raisin Bran type of cereal. They had water. The ice machine on our floor was not working. They had a leak where the ice machine was on the 3rd floor so you had to go to another floor. Pool was okay. Elevator would shake and make noise when you’re in it. The hotel had a certain smell. The good thing was the shampoo and conditioner were great and bed was comfortable. Other than that I will not return due to dirty restroom. The trash cans had no bags in it. They had no trash in restroom. Night check in staff was sweet. Morning was not attentive at all. They could care less what was for breakfast or if anything was out.

This property needs major upkeep and attention in order to bring it up to just average. The property may never be above average.

This was a 4-day business trip for a conference at the Gaylord Resort and Spa for educators! The location was convenient to all what I needed.

The cameras made me a single parent traveling feel safe. Staff very nice and helpful. Guests were kind as well. Only expected more from breakfast menu. 4 outa 5 ⭐️

Elevator and public spaces were very dirty for a Hilton property

Check was great. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever tried to sleep on.

Good location with good restaurants nearby. A face-lift from old Comfort Inn. Remodeled bathroom is clean and tidy. Doesn't have a coffee machine in room, replaced by the 24/7 coffee/hot water available at the lobby.

Great staff and loved how late the pool stays open in HOT Texas!

Whats horribly bad is...the extremely loud air conditioner in my room when I specifically asked for a quiet room. I should be given a full refund. I may have gotten 1.5 hrs of sleep.

Nice place but the room didn’t cool down very good.

Tina reached out during our stay to ensure all was well. Mursheda also offered great follow up. Miss Patricia in housekeeping was a delight and the teen boys thought she was great. They won the basketball game (by forfeiture) after she told them to pray on it so they thought she sent good vibes for their tournament.

Good place to stay

There was some type of digital noise like maybe a bird deflecting device that was constant. No coffee maker in the room, I am an early riser. Coffee downstairs tasted like yesterday’s coffee. The plumbing was backed up somewhere in the building. Very slow flushing. The rate was high for the room. I think this place is more like a Motel 6 IMO. But, staff was friendly and they do offer shuttle service to DFW. I see them as very understaffed. Last month I stayed in a Spark in Wichita, Kansas and had a totally different experience.

Rooms are good and staff is always there for any suggestions or needs.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Made the check in process 1000% easier. The rooms are nice and spacious, extremely comfy.

Breakfast very bare minimum. Linens were soft and beds comfortable.

Hotels near DFW are all expensive this one was as well. For the price it wasn’t that nice. Needs updating however staff was very accommodating. Loud neighbors but quieted by 11:30pm. Ok stay.
