Residence Inn by Marriott El Paso

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff were very kind and helpful. The snack area was very limited, so being extra snacks if you think you’ll need them. There was a nice fire pit outside you could relax by.

The 2 bedrooms & baths were great! The over all cleanliness was fantastic! I wish your set-up was in every town I visit with friends! On a 5-Star rating…you deserve a 10! Nothing

2 BR was very spacious. With 2 bath rooms. Perfect for for party of 5 or more. Full kitchen. Restrooms were really good. Old showers but doesn’t the job. Really Big hotel. I always check the reviews before I book. So here’s the truth about our room. Recently remodeled I think. But furniture is old. Carpet is old. Beds are ok. Big but soft. Sofa bed was horrible. Old and couldn’t even sit on it correctly. AC vents looked to have mold. Pool is not heated. Small. But ok. Beware they charge $15 parking! Breakfast was ok. Basic hotel breakfast.

Everything was excellent. My only complaint is the US Flag flying in the front of the building appeared very dirty. It should be replaced with a new flag.

Poor parking lot with limited spots. Didn’t feel safe at night with drunk men hanging outside hotel. Old hotel with dirty carpet baseboards, crunchy carpet in rooms, and disgusting kitchen cabinets with dust and stains. Don’t trust any of the dishes/utensils in the room kitchen cabinets with old food stains. Hair found under the bedsheet/comforter. Bedrooms were so smelly with perfume/colone. Bathrooms were dirty with hair, dust and soap/water grime on shower/tub floor. Air conditioning was poor and slow, at one point stopped working in the middle of the night. Saw male staff carrying a large stack of room towels touching his sweaty face/skin and hair. Breakfast was terrible with limited muffins, brown bananas, and powdered eggs. Housekeeping did not change trash bins/take out. First time staying at a Residence Inn and NEVER will we stay at one again.

Good location

Any Marriott-managed hotel has room floor plans and cabinets that serve all purposes, with good amenities including smiling and friendly staff, like Honesty, Damaris at the front desk, and Irma, a smiling and kind chef in the good restaurant for quality breakfast. NOT just breakfast but Quality Breakfast for good health with fresh banana, cut cantaloupe, etc.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was very cordial and helpful. Don’t understand why hotels are charging for parking these days.

The property was great and the staff was friendly. My only complain was our entire silverware was dirty in the drawers. The toliet was not cleaned 😕 there was poop stains under the toilet seat. The sheets in our bed were dirty and when house keeping cleaned our room they didn't change or make the bed. My wife and I stood here for a week. I would not stay there again. The breakfast was decent.

Last time we stayed they charged me 700 for a bookend and payed room. But this time around it wa good

More than that, he was personable and engaging, a true gem. He shared he works in different areas of the INN - he could run the whole place. As opportunities come up for promotions, the INN would benefit in keeping a valuable employee. Please extend our sincere appreciation to him. Irma & Luis C. Not sure what happened here… as a Master Gardener, I was aghast at the person snapping the blooms with his hands of the red-tipped yucca in front of the INN. Yikes! I asked him why but he mumbled under his breath; I asked for for a few stalks - I took three- said he was trashing them. Again, yikes. Sounds minor but not coming from a Master Gardener.

Exceptional

Staff was super friendly when we checked in and with anything we needed. The room spelled very bad when we arrived though, when we opened the pull out couch a bunch of popcorn fell out onto the floor as well as dirty socks from the previous guests. Both chairs at the table also had crumbs all over them when we arrived. We usually really like our stays here because we have stayed a few times before, but this time the cleanliness didn’t seem as great as usual. Although, the beds, bedding, and pillows are super comfortable!

First room was definitely not cleaned regularly or well. Dust mites in bed. Tried a few other rooms and only 1 of 3 were clean. Staff tried to be helpful were ultimately useless.

THey did have a little fix up going on but it never interfered with our stay. Breakfast was always plentyiful and it was quiet, even with our room bing by the highway. This is the first time i had to pay to park at a hotel, so that was disappointing.

Staff was great

The staff was polite, but a few things caught me off guard. When I called ahead and mentioned I was bringing my dog, no one informed me of a pet fee—or a parking fee—so it was a surprise to be charged for both upon arrival. The hotel itself feels dated, and the elevator was questionable—it screeched loudly and even gave my husband a mild shock. Overall, not the experience I expected. Clearer communication and a few upgrades would go a long way.

I find it odd, that in El Paso, we'd have to pay for parking.

We live 90 miles out. An orthodontist appointment was scheduled in the evening on top of other errands and visit with friends. We made it an overnight stay rather than change the time of the appointment. The hotel was peaceful friendly and very clean. We loved it!

Amazing hotel with top notch amenities and pool.

Stayed here overnight for a competition. Property was nice, and i would stay here again.

The beds are rock hard, ended sleeping in the couch. Changed rooms and the bed was equally uncomfortable. Also the HVAC system (heat) in both rooms worked well but were very noisy, like if the fans were off balance causing loud clicking noises. The personnel at the hotel were outstanding and very helpful responding to our concerns.

We had two random charges totaling $70 appear on our credit card during our stay with no explanation and no reasoning given by the hotel staff, which was disconcerting. The pool area lacked clean towels and there were a lot of noisy guests yelling in the hallways all night the last we were there. Room was nice, but also no housekeeping during our stay so trash piled up quickly.

This property is by far hands down the WORST Residence Inn we’ve ever stayed. Not sure if has ever been updated since the 1990’s. It smelled of rotten fish and garbage throughout the halls and worse in the room. Our suite was loud af as it overlooked the freeway. We requested QUIET room and they still put us there. Explaining that it was the LAST room even though booked 1 month in advance and prepaid. Worse yet it was guaranteed, confirmed for late arrival as we called the day before to reiterate and confirm booking. The only reason we stayed was it was after midnight and we had driven 8 hours. Otherwise, no way. Run from this place. Pack your family up and run.

Nice size rooms, not the best area of town byt convenient to highway downtown etc

Even though you are right off the freeway our room was quiet and you could not hear the traffic outside. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Staff was friendly and helpful. The fireplace in our room was the bomb and we really enjoyed a couple of the nights that got cold outside while we were there. Would stay again as it was a very positive experience for us.

Great place to stay for business. Located on I-10 for easy travel. I was surprised I didn’t hear any traffic even though I was close to the interstate.

The driveway from Gateway Blvd. to the hotel is horrible.

It was ok. Our room never got cleaned, so we ran out of toilet paper and our trash cans were overflowing after 2 out of 3 nights. We just got notes on the door that due to extenuating circumstances they weren’t gonna provide cleaning services. Then- our family’s car was vandalized during the night of our last stay, and they have no outdoor cameras. Breakfast was mediocre. Not a great stay.

The room I booked was a suite 2 bedroom, it was very nice, couldn’t figure out how to use fireplace but I was only there for one night so it was not that serious. It was quiet. Parking lot was packed but the people were friendly. I would recommend staying here 9/10

We enjoyed our short stay. The very spacious 2 bed 2 bath suites are wonderful! My grandsons said the pool was nice. And the staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend this property!

There were two rooms and two bathrooms so it was very spacious and very nice. The air conditioner worked very well.

Suites were incredibly spacious and clean. Great value for a family especially if you have kids that enjoy watching TV. My only qualm is that the breakfast options were quite limited, so if you care about having an extensive breakfast variety, I'd keep that in mind.

Free wifi with Apple products is extremely slow and constantly buffering. We were warned at check-in this was the case. Really? The two bedroom two bathroom is very spacious and comfortable. There is a $12 fee per night for parking which I think is ridiculous when security for vehicles is not provided or covered by the hotel. Also, no EV charging station at this hotel.

Room was amazing it had two bedrooms and two bathrooms! However, we noticed that door handles and light switches were dirty I even had to clean them . But everything else was fine.

Best hotel our family has stayed in. The room we stayed in had two full bedrooms with two full bathroom on each room. Fireplace and all mayor appliances. Wish it had a hot tub but I would stay again. Room was also clean, some repairs needed in one bath but it still functioned well. We let the staff know and they said they would let their maintenance person know.

We had a really comfortable stay on a very long trip. The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The dishwasher didn't work very well and some of the glassware was dirty, we managed to clean out the soap dispenser and get it running but it probably should be replaced. Other than that everything was great! Even our little dog lived it

Here is an average hotel. The breakfast set up is nice. They do not have any nondairy options. But they did have plenty of food. The pool is pretty dirty. But the patio and the fireplace is nice.

Disappointed that we couldn’t get housekeeping service during our stay since it was over Christmas. I had to exchange towels at the desk which was not a problem and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Small garbage cans in rooms and without service they overflowed and could not find a place to dump the trash. The handicap bathroom was dingy and the toilet kept running. The rest of the 2 bedroom unit was comfortable. Wish the lights were a little brighter I hate dark rooms. Overall it was a nice stay and with a family the 2 bedroom suite was great. We all fit and had privacy as needed.

Just a one night stay but very clean, comfortable and relaxing. And the fact that the little hotel store and some things we could heat up in the room for dinner was such a bonus as it was late and we didn't want to go back out.

I'd love to recommend this hotel, but with a $60 pet fee plus an additional $10 / night after that, the value plummeted. Still very nice and nice staff but if you have the chance to look elsewhere you'll probably find a better deal.

When booking this hotel there was no sign or anything about pool being closed. My kids were absolutely devastated. We booked for this pool. I used a credit to upgrade just to be there.

I waited 10 minutes to get checked in. I had to waive someone down to get service.

Was given a dirty room. Looked like people were still staying in the room we were assigned. Then given a clean room at the front of the highway so we could hear all the traffic on the highway all night!!

I didn’t like that the rooms were very dark and gloomy. The lighting was very dim and made for a spooky ambiance. I had to work and wish I could have turned on more lights and had a fully lighted room

I asked for a non smoking room and the room I got smelled nothing but smoke, when I called the front desk and asked if the have gave me a smoking room they said no and they sent someone to put some smelly spray on the carpet so it can go away and it did for like two hours but then it came back and they never change me rooms, also the included continental breakfast they served was the worst, they only had cereal, milk, boiled eggs and coffee and juices, which both mornings the juices were out, and lastly when I checked in I never got a break down of what I was paying or fees or a receipt, they ask for my card slide it and said ok your all good, never was told the amount I was been charged or nothing, till I got to my room and looked in my bank account I noticed they charge me more then what I booked for, till the day I left was when I got a receipt on my email that said how much it was and was a different amount of what my credit card got charged, so overall not a great service and I would not be staying there ever again, witch I could of need a great customer because I travel there once every two months
