Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Duluth North, MN

I almost paid $600 for this room. I know it was Grandma’s Marathon weekend. But for that money I was very disappointed. The website shows pictures of a water slide, hot tub etc. the pool (?) was the only thing available. My grandchildren were very disappointed. And an 11am checkout? I got there at 6 pm and had to checkout at 11am? For almost $600? Totally unacceptable.

We just needed a quiet place to sleep for 2 nites. Would be nice to have some Raisin Bran for breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Country Inn & Suites. Our room was large and clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also very good. The manager was super friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay here again while in the area.

We booked this reservation solely for the water slide and kiddie pool, which were both closed when we checked in. Reasoning was out of the staffs control, but it would have been nice if we were notified before check-in (it had been closed since the day before). We also had to request toilet paper immediately after checking in and the bathroom was not clean. We were pretty disappointed in this stay. However, I will say staff was kind and the breakfast was good.

Seen a couple bugs in the bathroom. Wouldn’t recommend.

The location Under construction (loud), construction debris everywhere, pool and hot tub and slide out of order, smell of cigarette smoke, leaking sink, duct tape on the floor doorways.

Nice place to meet up with family, although hot tub was closed for maintenance.

Waterslide was advertised, but not available. Hotel was having renovations done, so there was a lot of construction debris and noise. Renovations were not noted during booking.

Beds were not much more than a foam pad. Breakfast room did include gluten free options which was nice and staff seemed very knowledgeable about safe handling.

Smelled like PineSol, dirty, paint chipped, tons of construction workers, some people squatting, playing music till all hours. I wouldn’t stay again.

We went there for the slide in pool. It was closed also hot tubs were closed. Garbage was not collected every day. The people were very good. Very helpful. Breakfast was good. Very nice on fire pit at night.

The staff was great about helping us out when we had to bring our dog last minute. However we were staying there due to the waterslide and pool. The pool and waterslide was closed due to inspection. Hotels.com never notified us that this was closed, we still had to pay full price for our room. We will not be staying here again or using hotel.com due to false advertising.

They don't tell you that the hotels under construction on website except for some very fine print at the bottom. We went there for my daughter's birthday and everything like the water slide and hot tub were all shut down. The construction workers were on every level the doors were all propped open so there was no security. The construction workers worked until 10:00 p.m. on a weeknight. They had no coordination as far as shutting down one floor at a time. The whole place look like it was being torn apart. We literally had construction outside of our door the entire time we were there. After about 2 hours we went and canceled the room and took our family to another hotel. La Quinta suites in Hermantown was beautiful and we will be staying there from now on when we are in Hermantown.
