Springhill Suites Corpus Christi

My dad had a heart attack. So we rushed to Corpus & would be arriving very late. I booked & called to inform hotel of our 1am arrival. When we got there at 1am with my small son asleep in the car, the girl at the front desk said they did not receive payment for our room. I showed her my confirmation but she didn't care. She said we didn't have a room & needed to leave or we would be escorted out! Even though I had my confirmation email, even though I am a Marriot member, even though we called ahead to let them know of our late arrival, even though we had a family emergency, even though we had just driven 3 hours and even though my 5 year old was asleep in the car, front desk clerk, would not allow us to check in!!! NEVER AGAIN!!

What they advertise was not actually available such as pool hours, breakfast hours, and also no smart TVs. The overnight was rude, and the though the room was clean, you can tell it wasn’t stocked properly from the night before.

Yes it was great, we enjoyed our breakfast very clean, they never ran out of food or drinks the staff stayed in top of everything very 👍

Everything was good. The only negative thing was that the bathroom was in front of the beds with a window panel as a door. Therefore, the whole bed area was illuminated if somebody went to the bathroom during the night.

The hotel was in a good location. Seemed centrally located. Little things in the room that could be touched up. The staff was wonderful! The 2 ladies who oversaw the breakfast were extremely helpful and attentive! This definitely was the first time at a non-five star hotel I have ever been checked on to see if I needed anything. Everyone from reception to breakfast staff was 5-star!

Did not stay, Expedia attempted to reach out to hotel staff in regards to a refund, but no luck. No one ever returned any calls or communication, even though i spoke to hotel staff representatives myself prior to Expedia reaching out.

The rooms were definitely clean, but what truly stood out was the staff member overseeing the breakfast area. I’ve traveled all over the world and stayed in countless hotels, yet she was by far the most cordial, friendly, and attentive staff member I’ve ever encountered. She checked on us constantly, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Hotel was beautiful and bed was comfortable however the man at check-in was absolutely rude. It was late when we checked in so doors were locked and lobby lights were turned off. Eventually doors were unlocked and we walked in and he did not want to turn the lobby lights on even when I couldn’t find my credit card. We told him several times we couldn’t see and it wasn’t until I couldn’t provide the credit card that he finally turned on the lights and continued to be very rude. Handed us the door cards and said our room was down the hall but didn’t show us which way. It was our first time here and we loved the hotel but not the service we were provided. The morning clerk was very nice and polite and we mentioned the problem to her. She said she would look into it.

I’ve visited Corpus many times, however this was my first stay at Springhill Suites. Conveniently located close to the highway, shops and my granddaughters school. I will definitely stay here again.

The 2 bed Suite was perfect to give my grandson just enough room to not feel so cramped. The separate area with TV, desk and sofa bed was perfect for us to hang out without disturbing the baby once he went to bed.

I have bad legs so they put a room next to the elevator which made it easier for me to walk. the ladies in the kitchen were very nice and the front desk also were very kind. I really enjoyed the stay. Door in the bathroom was too squeaky

Although the property was very convenient and very friendly staff… as you entered the hotel it reeked of the smell of gas (propane) it was bad bad. I wish they could fix that- it’s insanely worrisome.

My wife loved the breakfast! I understand some hotels don’t have that option, so we were really happy with this one. The room we were in had a lot of space for our child to run around and play with his toys. The bed and the pillows we’re really comfortable as well, we slept great!

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Room was stocked well with towels. The Sofa bed was like 2 in one which was perfect for our family of 5, there’s a pull out mattress on the bottom of the sofa. The breakfast was ok. Cute little bar in the lobby too. Only thing I did not like was the bathroom door in room. It was one of those sliding door type and it was really noisy when opening and closing. Overall, satisfied with the stay & would stay again.

Front desk and the team were nice and helpful. Room service needs improvement, they did not clean well and some spots were not touched at all ( like barthroom floor) they forgot to put soap but i was able to get some from the front desk.

As usual we're very pleased with the room, they keep it clean and ready for us before checking in times, also breakfast buffet was great and service was excellent.

I was told at the checking that water heater is broken, and if I don't want to stay here I can leave. Also if need credit I have to just call Expedia. I was tired of long drive so I decided to stay. Room was not properly clean, air conditioning was not on and room was smelling bad. All in all worst experience every.

Property was old and in need of remodel and upkeep. All exterior doors were broken with the exception of the main entrance. The lobby had a bad smell that resembled urine. Breakfast was poor and refilled inefficiently.

There were several men drinking alcohol in the parking in the bed of a pickup truck right outside the main entry, both of the nights I stayed there! Not a great look and what I expect from a Marriott property.

Our room card wouldn’t open our room. We had to get a key from the front desk every time we left our room. Finally on the second day we got a key that worked. We had to remind and ask for the key. The entry was not very welcoming. It had trash, food, and bird waste that was there our entire stay. The rug needed to be vacuumed as well.

Check in was super easy. The receptionist helped me with everything I need it. Clean place, everything functional. No weird smells or clogged bathtubs I will definitely come back.

The only thing I noticed was when I was going to sleep that there’s a gap under the front door big enough that if anyone wanted to look under they could see in, definitely shouldn’t be like that. I had put my bags to cover that. Other than that everything was pretty awesome, and I would go back.

This Springhill Suites is not up to the standards that I am use to from the others I have stayed in. It is old and the updates are poor. Furniture is worn and stained. Carpet is dirty.

Great staff. The room A/C was too loud and fan was blowing hard right over the bed. Otherwise all good. Hallway carpets could be updated.

SPACIOUS AND CLEAN FOR THE PRICE. FRONT DESK WAS KIND AND RESPECTFUL. BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AND THE LADIES WERE ATTENTIVE IF IT NEEDED TO BE REFILLED. IT HAS ONLY ONE TESLA CHARGER, HOWEVER YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SUE PARTNER CHARGER STATION NEXT DOOR. OVERALL I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

The front check in person "Diana" was awesome. She used and remembered our names. Very helpful and positive. Also, the lighting of the parking lot was bright and felt very safe. The entrance sliding doors to the hotel had no name or information. It didn't look like an entrance. It was odd.

A lot of things did not work in the room, the beds were uncomfortable. We barely slept. The staff was so so. They weren't rude, but they weren't great either. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone.

Only issue we had was a shower door didn’t close very well seem to be too heavy. It adjustment so it would close correctly.

Anyway, the bleach smell had dissipated by the time we returned, revealing a horrible warm garbage smell in our room, but no garbage. There was blood on the toilet, though, so no points will be awarded. This was the second time in a year that we’ve stayed at this property and, despite having to wait nearly an hour after check in for our room that time, it was a somewhat positive experience. I guess not.

I stayed due to a class nearby . I brought my mom and toddler with me as a bonus. The breakfast was not the usual SpringHill breakfast. I went at 8am on a weekday. I usually travel on weekends. The indoor poor did not look clean which was a bummer because I selected it for the pool so my mom and little could swim while I attended the class. The room was spacious and updated! The staff was amazing! Overall the stay was good !

Property is a bit on the older side but is clean. Issues were more with the quality of the room for the price. Shower door is a swinging glass door that didn't close well because it was unbalanced, bed was uncomfortable and felt like a cheap spring mattress. I only went down for breakfast one morning and it was scrambled eggs in liquid and individually wrapped biscuits in plastic. Coffee was very weak even though labeled dark roast. The coffeemaker in the room is a disgrace. Didn't even get hot enough to fully dissolve the powder creamer provided in the pack.

The AC was an issue for me , blow right in my face , some people may like that but not me. The pillows were like 1/2 size and got flat so felt like I didn’t have a pillow . Other than that it was a good place to stay .
