Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Corpus Christi by IHG

The only parts that were just average were our actual room appearance and the selection of items for breakfast. Our room had stains on the carpet, bare white walls (no decorations or framed art prints), and the pillows weren't that great. We were there for 2 breakfast mornings, and on both mornings, the eggs were not hot (just kinda warm), and we were hoping for bacon on 1 of the 2 mornings, but all they had was turkey sausage patties both days. The potatoes and omelets were just ok. We would have liked more selection in the pastry / muffins container. We've had better selections at other Holiday Inn Express locations.

The rooms are clean, nice staff, spacious bathrooms and clean facilities the beds are super comfortable the ac in the rooms works so well and it’s a very quiet place to rest no disturbances at all. Great location.

Didn't eT, the hotel smells musty, I didn't trust the food Hotel smelled musty from lobby to room, when we left on Saturday to go to my grandsons graduation, we came back the room wasn't cleaned, yet someive with a key to our room entered, took a bag with my mom's medication, combs and brushes in it, and turned our a/c off, so we returned to a hot musty uncleaned room and meds stolen. I then remembered a Hispanic male vacuuming thd

The hot tub was not working. The pool is indoors and a/c was not working so it was hot and humid Was not able to enjoy the pool area.

The room itself was ok; AC wasn’t working properly. Hallways were HOT and the lobby and hallway carpets were dirty.

This is the second holiday inn i have stayed in this month. although this hotel is old need updates. the room was cleaner than the previous hotel. The bathroom in the lobby both toilets clogged and smelled horrible. breakfast was ok. i guess i got what I paid for

Honestly the hotel needs a little TLC and also has a weird smell. Doesn't feel clean.

Room felt a little too damp. The hot tub was not working. One of the peepholes in the door was missing a cover. Staff was nice but i felt like things at the property couldve been better.

The staff was great and they helped us the best they could. The hotel itself needed some repairs. There was damage in the dining room and in our hotel room and the faucets weren’t working well. Our room had so much moisture in the floor that you felt very sticky. Seemed that maybe at some point the air conditioner or a pipe in the bathroom leaked all under the carpet and was never properly handled. Finally the lounge chair in our room had a potentially biological residue all over it. Again the staff was great and the food was good but the room and condition of the hotel was less than par.

The staff was nice and some aspects of the hotel were good. The room we received was dirty with a bunch of crumbs on furniture and countertops, room smelled strong of marijuana that we tried to use perfume and bought lysol at the store but it was too over powering, the fridge had brown liquid, and the toilet had some urine on the rim.

This hotel was a complete BUST! We booked this property because it was advertised as having a pool and hot tub. While those amenities were present, neither could be used as the water was ICE cold. As someone from Minnesota, we swim in cold water most of the year and it was far too cold for us. The "fitness center" was so hot inside, it was hard to breathe. The rooms were ok, at best. Lots of repairs needed. Continental breakfast, another joke. I was really looking forward to a nice place to lay our heads during a road trip; this was NOT the place. The guy who checked us in was kind, and that is my only compliment.

We got no house keeping service

The staff member that checked us in was very kind and profeasional. There were several young adults and kids there running up and down the halls slamming doors. The hotel is not clean at all. The fridge was full of rust the bathroom was not clean either.

Overall the place and parking felt safe and the staff was nice. I didn’t like how I reserved for 5 guest and there was only 2 towels. The couch bed did not have any sheets and had to go ask for some at the receptionist. Then the cleaning service said to give the dirty towels and they will wash and drop off more later. We never got more towels when I went to ask the receptionist they said they were out of towels. The breakfast was also not great. Pancake machine was not working and not many options.

The location is 15 to the airport and 15 minutes in the other direction to Mustang Island . The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is dated and the a/c was rusted and the bathroom was in bad need of caulking but I guess that’s normal for a beach town. You could stick a book in the opening between the door and door jam , the door looked too small but overall, it suited our needs!

This property has serious problems!! It is NOT like the other IHG properties!! A week before our trip we requested interconnecting rooms, Trisha said she would write it down in the notes. Unfortunately we were not granted our request. We asked again at check-in, we were ignored! We shrugged it off and just let it go. We stayed at the property for 4 nights. Day1- we return to our room that evening and the room was not cleaned at all!! No clean towels, trash in containers from not being emptied, beds not made, etc. We talked with Joe the person in charge that evening ( behind the counter) we asked him if rooms get cleaned everyday he said “Yes”. We complained to him that no one had cleaned our room. He apologized and said he was sending an email to the housekeeping department. He got us fresh towels. Day2- Room was semi clean Day3-Room was not cleaned again! Trash was not emptied. We had to go ask for clean towels again from Joe. So frustrating!! Day4- Check out day. No one at the front desk, we found this to be very odd! Because that’s when the manager was going to be available. Breakfast was a let down!! Horrible experience, we will not go back to this location. This location fell way below the standards of Holiday Inn Express!

Yes the Hotel felt neglected. This place is starting to look neglected and showing signs of disrepair and lack of maintenance. Room 204, the thermostat on the wall no longer works. The bathroom door is hard to close. It scraps the floor and has water damage to the bottom of the door. The shower looks dirty and dingy. Mildew on the shower ceiling and around the bottom of shower pan. There is rust on the window AC/Heat unit. The pool hot tub was broken...freezing cold. The pool looks bad..... When I walked in the front counter guy was on the phone with someone having problems with the toilet not flushing. When the elevator is coming down and going up you hear " fluids running" maybe water. I then took the stairs. I'm not staying here again.

Didn't have breakfast ended at 9 am too early. When walking in strong scent of clorox and pine pine not pleasant smell. The cooler did not cool enough .

Fairly close to eating places & shopping & didn’t hear a lot of street traffic !!! Thank You Holiday Inn Express & Suites !!! Our stay was Friday evening through Monday morning !!! Well my preference is a firmer King bed for my husband and I ,school buses took up to much parking, need a spot just for buses, kids were loud until there bed time !!! Room smelled musty,probably needs air freshener to AC unit.

The price was affordable and providing breakfast in the morning was the tie breaker from other choices in the area. The room was so spacious and gave ample room for our kids to spread out. I have picky eaters more options for kids regarding food. However it's hard to please kids, really.

Next, the place was not very clean. There was dark mold growing along the base of the shower. There was a belly up dead roach on the floor at the breakfast area. The breakfast choices were skimpy compared to other Holiday Inn Express locations. No yogurt in the mini fridge and the milds in there were not very cold. The hallways were hot, stuffy, and uninviting. The AC was noisy. All in all, I will avoid this location if I travel to Corpus Christi again unless they fix these issues

Very accommodating! Manager made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond to provide a place for my medication that was convenient for me. Staff were so friendly and this was a family trip with small grandbabies and they were so sweet and accommodating for them too. They cannot wait to return for a sleepover at Memaws hotel.

Joe the concierge was very nice and helpful. On our second day we wanted our room cleaned and fresh towels the cleaning staff skipped our room, Joe nade a note of it and got us fresh towels

The bathroom wasnt very clean. The elevator didn’t work half the time. The pool heater and spa was broken, plus very crowded. Not the hotel’s fault, but it didn’t help that the kids above us were thumping around all night and making tons of noise. Overall not a great stay and overpriced for what we got. Would not recommend.

Easy and fast check in. Plenty of lighted parking. Room and bed was super clean and comfortable. Pillows were too soft for our liking. Shower pressure was amazing!! Would definitely stay here again.

Downside was the indoor pool was super cold. Called it "the ice box". No towels were available, had to ask the front desk. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, launch Lady was so sweet and greeting everyone.

The room was bigger than what I thought! Loved the space, beds were comfortable. It was very clean. The only one bad thing I found was there is only one elevator. But I would definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a 1 night stay since my son was in the hospital since I didn't get any sleep the night before. While my husband stayed with our son at the hospital I decided to get a hotel. This hotel met my need very well. The bed was comfortable which helped me get a good 12-hour uninterrupted sleep. The breakfast the next morning was good also. I would stay here again.

Parking isn't good at night I'm assuming it's because it shares the parking lot with another hotel. Plus, the jerks with large trucks with trailers take up several parking spots. Entry to the hotel smells a little musky which was strange but the room was fine. Breakfast was good I'm assuming because there was nothing left with an hour left for breakfast hours...room was very clean and had everything you need from microwave, coffee kerig, small fridge. The bath tube was off colored and peeling strange but eeeehh, staff was very helpful and kind.

Entry to the hotel smells a little musky which was strange but the room was fine. Breakfast was good I'm assuming because there was nothing left with an hour left for breakfast hours...room was very clean and had everything you need from microwave, coffee kerig, small fridge. The bath tube was off colored and peeling strange but eeeehh, staff was very helpful and kind.

It was not a true Holiday Inn we had to change rooms because the first room we had the AC did not work. We went as far as cleaning the AC filters, but haven't been cleaning probably about a month. The water pressure in the shower was very, very low. The bed didn't look like the queen more like full size.

The staff is super nice here. The day we stayed only one woman was working breakfast from what I could tell and she was working so hard to replenish the food even though other guests were acting disgruntled about it.

Hotel was conveniently located where there was easy access to dining and activities to do. Our room was easy to navigate, and had a very open layout. The breakfast selection was great, and they kept the options well-stocked until after breakfast time each day.

Well the stay was really well balanced. The initial decor was enjoyable and the bed sheets plus the bed itself was very cozy. The A/C worked very nicely and kept the room very cold at night. The only thing I would say that would not give this place 5 stars, my girlfriend and I found a dead cockroach stuck to the wall by the table next to the TV during our stay. We named him Billy the roach. Other than than that, the room was good. Coffee choice was decent but not the best. The shower was excellent and the soap choice was great as well!! Over all I give this place a 9/10.

It was located in a commercial area convenient for shopping. During the breakfast hours,they had a long line filled with people and no food available. The eggs were burned and they ran out of coffee.

Everything good. but the remote for the tv worked only a third of the time and the bathroom toilet would not fill up after using it. The float inside the tank had to be moved around to allow the water to come back in. I notified the desk when we left.

Felt safe, cool and clean. Breakfast was amazing! Only problem was lady at front desk seemed annoyed.

When we first got to hotel i was told our room was still waiting to be clean so we had to wait about 30 mins after check in time to get in. When we finally got out room it was not fully clean there was toliet paper in the toilet mold in the coffe maker and the room had a smell to it. The pool was very cold and they had no towels to dry off. Breakfast was very under stocked missing about 25% of what wouls usally be there no gravey for biskets no sausage no bagels. Our room did not get cleaned at all during our stay. Over worse experience we have ever had at a holiday in we usally always puck a holiday in for our vacation bit will never pick this one again

We found a few inconveniences after our arrival. Some broken tiles near the bath (dangerous because we have kids), the water was running really slow on tha bathtub, the a/c took a long time to cool the room and a very strong aroma of marijuana on the second floor. Not sure we are returning to this hotel in our next trip to Corpus Christi.

Bed was very comfortable. Staff was very nice. Not able to summon the Elevator on the ground floor, so we had to either take the stairs going up or get a Hotel person to open the elevator doors. This was a hassle. The breakfast bar was not maintained very well (no eggs or biscuits)and there were not very many people in the breakfast bar.

The hotel was nice from the outside and lobby. We stayed on the third story and the hallway they had the ac off so it was musty and hot. We got in our room which smelt like mildew. First night we was there someone stole my $400 receiver hitch. There was four of us with only two bath towels in the room and went down to get more at the front desk and they told me they didn’t have any. After that walk to the pool and look to the left and they had a whole room full of towels. The beds was comfortable and pool was nice.

the staff at the hotel were amazing however the elevators were not working properly and my husband, daughter and myself have issues with knees and hips.

Cleanliness and friendly staff

Bathrooms are spacious, modern, very clean. Amenities like toiletries were excellent. King size bed was very comfortable. Room itself was spacious with newer looking furniture. Only complaint was the noisy ac unit but was transferred to another room with a newer, quiter unit by manager. I would recommend this place. Lastly, free hot breakfast was very good.

We get to the reception to check in and they were very unprofessional and gave our room away so we had to wait an hour and a half almost two before we got a room will never stay here again… and the rooms are very dirty

We stayed in this property in 2015, we were a returning customers. Property was kept clean, Elevators were not working from 1st floor to 2nd floor, we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to 2nd floor and catch elevator there. Bathroom had hairs stuck to the walls before my kids even went in to take a bath. We were on the 4th floor and the roof looked as it it had been repaired and was very obvious as it was a different color in paint, not a big deal but still not very pleasing to the eye. Breakfast was great, was always kept stocked in everything. Parking is the absolute WORST! No space and we had to park in the hotel in front. Overall a good stay just that the broken elevator was a big deal since we have 2 kids and we had to carry everything up to the 2nd floor and then catch an elevator there.

Courteous staff, but the room wasn’t ready when we arrived even though we were 1 1/2 hours after available check-in. There was about a 20 minute wait to get into our room. Not enough towels & wash cloths were provided. It seemed as if they were a little understaffed but overall the service was good.

Had to wait two hours for room to be ready. Didn't receive a promised call when it was ready. Shower curtain and tub was rusty. Indoor pool was too cold to swim and there were no towels. The TV remote didn't work and we couldn't get a new one until the next morning. The phone didn't work. There's only one small elevator for four floors of guests. They ran out of too many items at the breakfast bar.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good. Under the toilet was dirty from previous guests, but the room overall was clean. The hot tub looked dirty, so we didn't use it. Our stay was pleasant.

The room is always so clean the only thing that was wrong with the stay the glass shower door was broken room 402 it keep opening non stop but besides that it was great stay

over all stay was good. Hotel needs a few updating here and there. Our shower water did not go down. would have to wait for a while and also wet the tube again bc of all the dirty water. The showers had rust on them that was not good. Breakfast was not stocked ran out off food fast and took a while to refile it. I would not stay at this hotel again.
