Very disappointed that the pool was not available. It was one of the main reasons for selecting this hotel as we had 5 kids who were looking forward to swimming.

Prior to booking a room for my family, I read the reviews to see what people said about the cleanliness of the hotel. The reviews were positive, so I was surprised when we entered our room. The hallway was warm and the smell was not pleasant. The room had a funky smell as well. The bathroom shower had some mold in the corners and the wall paper on one of the bathroom walls had big bubbles in it. My kids were running back and forth barefoot on the carpet and by the end of the night, their feet were black! I was appalled! We travel frequently, and that was the first time that happened to them in a hotel room. There was also a very sticky substance on the carpet that we kept stepping in. I tried to clean it with a Lysol wipe, but it wouldn’t come off. The sheets on the bed smelled weird and it made trying to fall asleep very uncomfortable. As soon as dawn approached, we got ready and left. We didn’t even bother to have breakfast because we knew it wouldn’t be worth staying for. The only positive thing about the stay was that the employees were very pleasant and the size of the room was nice.

Rooms clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff attentive, courteous and helpful. Great location and plenty of parking.

The location is safe and walkable. There is a running/bike trail very close to the hotel. I would stay here again.

Told me I could check in early but when I arrived my room wasn’t ready, pool was close and green, the pool room smelled like rotten garbage, the fireplace didn’t work, a house keeper came into my room after I checked in

Room was pretty dirty. It was clear it had not been vacuumed and the bathroom was been ”wiped down” maybe. The shower had clearly just been sprayed and rinsed out. The amount of build up in the shower had me questioning the use of it. However after the kids used the hot tub due to the pool being closed down(looked like a stagnant cesspool) and the smell was so horrible in the pool area we had to leave after just a few minutes, the kids had to shower. Get them into the shower(with flip flops on) and bottles of soap in the shower are completely empty. Decided we’d play some cards outside by the fire pit. Surprise it also doesn’t work, which has apparently been an ongoing issue as a construction worker walked up and light it with his lighter for us.

My room was next to the office and I’m certain the staff was smoking cause I could smell smoke the entire time I was there. Also, I don’t know if there were children above me, but it sounded like children were running all hours through the night.

We came in for the weekend because my son was graduating at the university of Iowa. The staff was great, room was clean and food was great! Also so happy to say the halls were so quiet!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Took 10 min for the front desk lady to even notice we were at the front desk there was no bell to ring, room keys deactivated almost instantly after using them for our room. Bed was itchy

The bathroom wall by the toilet seat need to wipe there some few white stuff not sure what is in the wall. The bedding need update the smell. Put or use a little refreshness to it.
