I stayed here a few times, very convenient. No AC strict rule, it could be on all the time. Not a party hostel. Not many travelers, you won’t meet a lot of people but it’s good to focus on yourself. Rooftop is airy and relaxing.
-
Outdoor areas normally smelled like smoke from the neighboring restaurant. Showers drained slowly; this was relayed to housekeeping once but not addressed during my stay.

Everything is well sorted out for the solo female traveler (dorms). Water, fridge, personal fan, lamp in our space, private bathroom, mirror, closet, lockers, AC, code entrance self check in , kitchen at roof top, quiet area, only mattress was not thick and comfy enough!!!! Mattress was not comfortable, too thin or it felt like sleeping on the floor. I would stay longer but my side hurt!! Other than that I would stay forever.

A very strong smell of Cannabis in room

Location is amazing, close to many good restaurants and cafes, walking distance. Rooftop is relaxing to meet other travelers, do pre-spray mosquito liquid. Plus Shroomie is excellent host, fast reply with any request. Would come back again.

Excellent location. Great staff. We booked the rooftop tent, but it was so hot we couldnt stay for even an hour. We were given the dorm room with no issue. Staff is great, everyone is helpful.

Clean, quite, good sleep, pull up rings on the rooftop is a nice touch. No complaints.

I've stayed in Chiang Mai for almost three weeks, jumping between various hotels and hostels. I've found that each place always had some problem with it (noise, bugs, mold, location, etc.). However, October Hostel is the only place I've stayed where I have zero complaints. I've stayed in both the private room and the hostel room, and I can say both are great, but I'll limit my review to just the private room: + Great Location. It's in Nimmanhaemin. (Enough said.) You are surrounded by good food/drinks/shopping all within walking distance, and a short Grab away from the old city and airport. + Quiet. In most places I've stayed, I could hear music from nearby bars and clubs playing late into the night. However, in this room, I couldn't hear any outside noise other than the occasional plane. + Clean. The room felt new, and everything looked clean. + Spacious. There's enough space that you can slide around on the hardwood floors in your socks. Not saying I did, but you could. (I did.) + Comfy Bed. + Good Price. The price is similar to the other hotels I've stayed in, but the room doesn't come with any of their problems. - No Elevator. Not really a problem for me since I'm a one-bag traveler, but it's something to keep in mind if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues.

I stayed in one of the private rooms, I don't know what the hostel experience is like. Great room, excellent location within a cool, hip neighborhood, very walkable to everything. Great staff.

Location was excellent. I had the private room, which was great.

Good location, in the prime area of Nimman, a lot of restaurants near by. Big room, good function and very clean! Value for money. -

The rooftop hangout, the owner, and the vibe he creates among the people staying there. A very real and at home feeling
