    I booked a suite and upon check in they tried to put me in a room that was not a suite, and also a room that was not ready. Then I got put into another room which was still not a suite. The third room was finally a suite but the AC unit leaked so much that I had to put into yet another room. All the rooms were not clean. One room had blankets from a previous guest. Floor did not appear vacuumed or swept at all. The pool was dirty. I asked for assistance using their pancake machine and was simply told it was working. Worst customer service ever.

    I liked the front staff. They were helpful and made my chsck in and out easy. Free coffee. The room smelled like hot shower. They dont air out the rooms and you can smell it. Rhe pillows look nice and fluffy and when you lay down on them, you loterally sink in. The beds made so much noise. The springs in both the beds were so loud with every movement. The dumpster outside was overflowing with trash. I found a cochroach in the room. We asked for towels to be brought to our room and no one came. The doors were hard to open and you would have to pull them hard to close. Their were lots of flies in the dinning area because of the door to the parking lot by the pool not being closed properly. Again, you had to pull it hard to close. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Our trash was piled up before we left. Not sure if we had to call for them to come check our room.

    All these issues were minimal compared to the fact that they charged over $1000 for a tow night stay that was barely $215 at most. Three different transactions for that amount and then charged and then the next day charged an additional $570 on top of the 3 $215 charges. We brought it to the attention of the manager and always told they were doing what they could, but charges remained.

    This area is great, and you can easily walk to Starbucks, Dutch Bros Coffee, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and Popeye’s. The elevator takes much longer to open and close, and it’s also slow to reach each floor. It needs an update!

    I was really disappointed with my recent stay at Holiday Inn Express. I usually love staying at this brand, which made this visit even more frustrating. The waffle machine at breakfast was broken, the elevator was extremely slow, and the room itself felt very strange. I was given a handicap-accessible room even though I did not request one, and there was no bathtub. Overall, the experience just did not meet the standard I normally expect from Holiday Inn Express, and it made the trip disappointing.

    The property condition is poor, water leaked on the ground floor and in the hallway of 4th floor. There were signs of water damage everywhere and in the room floor. The elevator is extremely slow and there’s only 1. Two positive points: water pressure was very good and decent gym.

    The hotel needed a good cleaning overall our bathroom was full of hair on the floor, several spots of mildew along the bathtub and floor. The mattress in our room was full of stains. I also left a blouse and pants in the closet and called the day after and they could not find it. I specifically told them it was in the closet and the room number and it appears nobody wanted to go look for it. Overall, the location was great, but the cleanliness of the hotel was not good.

    Elevator broken for 4 days. TVs in workout center didn't work. Self service laundry didn't work. Only one stall in community women's restroom worked. One of the 2 coffee makers broken. This hotel is NOT up to Holiday Inn standards.

    It is definitely an old property, needs maintenance and upkeep. After being moved to three different rooms, the stay was ok. First room no a/c or phone and missing tv, second room the a/c would not shut off at all (it was freezing in the room and it takes a lot for me to get cold), third room was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful-apologetic, although I would have preferred a discounted rate given the situation. It'll work in a pinch.

    Love that there is a fresh cup of coffee whenever you want one in the lobby! Everyone was friendly and attentive. They were able to help us out with a special request as their schedule allowed. Great stay, would absolutely stay again!

    Door had a large gap and could see the hallway even when door was closed, no tv in the sitting area of the room ( they had wall marked for tv goes) lights next to bed had burned out bulbs, paint on tile floor in bathroom.

There were holes in the bathroom wall and the bathroom was dirty. The sink was very slow to drain as well. The desk chair had scribbling all on the back. I dont know what it is with Holiday Inn Express but their elevator is always down. The side exit security door was also broken. The breakfast selection was horrible. Everything was old, hard and cold. The pancake maker was broken and the juice dispenser had very watered down juice. I think we're done with Holiday Inn..

    The facilities were fine. When we checked in there was only one person working and she struggled with the computer system for 20 minutes before we got our keys. She was also the same person cooking breakfast the next morning, while also manning the front desk.

    The staff was very helpful and friendly. They did what they could to appease me, by their error. I was assigned a room, trekked up to the room and it hadn't been cleaned up from the prior person. I went back downstairs and told the desk person. Long story short, they assigned me a suite. It appeared to be clean and everything was in order. Until I was ready to go to bed, if I hadn't been so tired, I would have demanded they put clean sheets on it. Instead, I put the top sheet back down and covered up with the bedspread folded over. It was ridiculously expensive for a room that I could have gotten way cheaper some place else. I will not be returning to that particular hotel ever again!!

There was a dead rat, floating in it and debris covering the bottom when I told them there were a rat, floating in the pool, simply granted and nodded. The next morning there was a note on the pool door that said it was not in use. When I take the children down for breakfast, the pancake machine was out of order and there was limited choices for food. We have never had this type of experience at a Holiday Inn express. We will not be visiting this hotel again, the floors were not clean, bathtub was dirty and I woke up with seven bites on my legs.

    Got to the room and looked like only rhe beds had been cleaned. Floor was dirty, sink was gross. A/C had no room temp adjustment so room was stuffy and sweaty. Slept horribly. Tried to go to the gym and key card wouldnt work. No sign to say it wasnt in service. Went to the front desk to ask, again no attendant around. Gave up and worked out in my room. Noticed the hand towels looked used. Went to get breakfast at 7 and limited options. Didnt have any fruit and coffee tasted like dirt. I have pretty low standards and was just on a work trip but this was pretty gross. Wont ever stay again.

    The location was ok. Bathtub was very slippery, I felt and hurt my self. Also, the bedframe on the bed was sticking out about 6 inches off at the end of the bed, foot end. Breakfast was so bad, we had to request to get fresh eggs, sausage and potatoes. They were hard and dry.

    Although the building seemed new, it was hiding major problems. First we checked into a 2 queen suite and found a frog and roach on the floor. They scurried out a 4 inch hole under the AC unit ( i have photos). We were moved to another room that was a literal sauna because the had the AC off and fan bringing in hot humid 95 degree air. In the morning the breakfast area was dirty and the coffee was cold. Staff didn’t help when shown the problem. This hotel has a big management problem. PS dont stay in room 105.

    Manager is a greedy jerk. Wasn’t able to get to town due to a cancelled flight. I notified the hotel so they could release the room. They refused to move my reservation to the next day even though they weren’t sold out and so just took my money. Unethical.

It was closed for renovations and never informed me or Expedia! Avoid this place. Incompetent and negligent management.Never had a hotel do this in my50 years of travelling around the world

    The walls in the hallways had mold growing on them. The room had beer cans everywhere, linens were waded up in the chair, bed had just the mattress. No sheets. Front desk clerk tried to put us in another room, and the entire second floor was this way. We had reserved 4 rooms, and at 9pm, only 2 rooms in the entire hotel were ready

    Only one ice machine working in the entire hotel. My phone wasn’t working in my room. Nor my safe. On the 2nd day of my 4 day stay the housekeeper cleared out the fridge and took my 6-pack of beer. After several complaints and the desk clerk taking my name and number twice so the manager could call me, i never received any call to resolve. The pool was closed the entire time as well. Talked with several other guests who were also very unhappy with their accomodations

    This is not a Holiday Inn Express by any standard. The man at the front desk in the unprofessional black sweatsuit was extremely rude when we asked for towels and packages that I had shipped to the hotel. Offered no help. Zero hot water for our stay of 3 nights. Not just our room but other guests experiencing the same issue. Heat and air system dated and not working well. Zero housekeeping even though they said we would receive after 2 days. The only bright spot of the stay was the front desk clerk, Jason. He actually looked for and located my packages in about 5 seconds and even offered to help me to my car with them. Apparently the hotel is being “renovated” and therefore everything is blamed on that. Had I known any of the above prior to booking I absolutely would’ve chosen elsewhere. Have never experienced an IHG employee as rude as the man working the desk in a sweatsuit. That says it all.

    This was straight up a crap show… From beginning to end… they started off by calling me and telling me they couldn’t accommodate me so i thought i was gonna have find another place to stay luckily i called Hotels.com people and they handle it(Thanks) once we arrived we saw pool was closed cause it was green which means they didn’t wanna clean it… signs all over saying hotel getting worked on. I saw thermostat hanging off wall in the hallway.. by this time i knew i was bout be in for a treat… My room looked normal but the cabinet under tv was angled and not level so draw would slide out… they stuff rags under it keep it from probably falling over… the ac leaked water onto floor and there were no towels for us in the bathroom… Be careful using toilet cuz if u think its normal your wrong its the ball washer 3000. Some kind of chicken meal was left in fridge for us wrapped in tin foil… and there was a ceiling fan that if u turned it on it made loudest noise ever… twice during stay we had get our keycards reactivated… One of the front desk people were straight sleeping i had wake him up to get him to fix it… my favorite part was the checking out … i know i probably missed something else but im out of characters… i recommend staying at hoilday inn in Bastrop not buda

    I booked an IHG property because I can typically depend on the consistency of the brand. This hotel DID state that it was undergoing renovation, but the condition of the property was terrible. The hallways had no baseboards, the ceilings were bubbling and peeling, and they smelled horrible! The pool - which was closed - looked like a cesspool. Our room(s) we’re terrible as well. The first room had no AC (it had reached temps of 95 that day and I was not staying in a room with no AC). The second room had HUGE holes torn in the blackout curtains and the security light from the front of the hotel shone in like a beacon. They gave me the choice of two more rooms (graduation at TXST was happening and everything was booked in the vicinity). I chose one that seemed to have working AC and appeared to be clean. I say “appeared to be clean” because when my daughter got into the shower we discovered two towels (used) hanging on the back of the door and a busted hairband behind the bathroom door (guess housekeeping didn’t bother to look there). Overall the staff was friendly and tried to help, but the rooms are trash - DO NOT STAY HERE.

Swimming pool was not clean had garbage and giant (fist size) bug floating in it. Had no linens for our pull out sofa in room. Had to get them in the middle of night.     We were there the night before our daughters wedding. We had a nice size room with living area so that was great. However, it needs some updating. The sink in the bathroom was literally hanging on by a thread. When you turned the water on and off, we thought the faucet was going to break since it was not completely attached. The faucet by the mini fridge spewed a trickle of water. That’s all.... couldn’t even get enough to rinse my mouth after brushing teeth. Ceiling fan in bedroom was either super high or made an intermittent loud noise. It was not terrible but I would not stay again unless renovations were made.

    We have family that lives 10 minutes away from this property, so we’ve stayed here in the past when in town visiting. They offer a one-bedroom suite that works well for our family of 5. When booking a hotel for said relative’s wedding, we decided to stay here again. We noticed some small problems on our last stay that we overlooked - our room was not serviced once during our stay, not even the trash taken out. Both stays were 3 nights. We received two bath towels and had to request more both times. We never received clean towels. Easy enough (although slightly inconvenient) to ask the front desk, right? Problem is, there is hardly ever anyone at the front desk to ask. During this stay, the first room we were in wouldn’t cool no matter what we set the AC at. We called down to let the front desk know and they told us they wouldn’t be able to fix it but we could move to a new room. We told them we’d discuss it and call back. Before we could do that, they call us back and tell us we have to move so they can get someone in to fix it. Again, no big deal but slightly inconvenient. The kicker of this stay was that on our first morning, the call button on the elevator stopped working - meaning the elevator works, but won’t come to your floor when you press the call button. There is a sign clearly posted to call the front desk when you want the elevator and they would send it up. Problem is, NO ONE is EVER at tAgain, I’m not incapable of taking stairs, but we’re on the fourth floor.

We stayed two nights no one came by to see if we needed fresh towel or trash taken. We will be back in the area the following weekend but I will not be staying here. I think the franchisee should rethink there strategy.

    The hotel rooms restroom could have been swept better. Hotel did have a strange smell in the hallways but nothing you can’t handle. The older black lady serving breakfast was beyond amazing!!! She was so kind to Everyone and asked if we were still hungry and kept making more food! She was so sweet and carried on conversations with us and even helped us sing happy birthday to my mother! Very sweet lady!! She deserves a raise!

    They were apparently short staffed. Things were barricaded off like chairs on the reception desk. A Handmade sign adorned one of the chairs starting, "We're Full". There was no attendant available when we left, they did however provide us with a statement. . Our coach's room didn't appear to be clean (there was an open bar of soap with a hair on it, no towels (and no attendant to contact)...). Our room appeared to be clean.

    When we walked in the door they were signs all around the front desk stating they were out in will be back. Not professional. No greeting at all. Due to only one housekeeper on staff, they were running behind on getting rooms clean. Room smelled musky as if it had been flooded or something. When making the reservation we were told it had an outdoor pool that would be open. That was not the case. The pool was loaded with leaves and gross. Also, we were told they had a free breakfast and it was a brown bag with the muffin and juice. That’s not real breakfast. I feel like we were cheated out of that part of the rate that we paid to stay there. Everything was dark and cold feeling there because everything was closed off because of Covid. We just stayed at another hotel less than an hour away the night before and they made the best accommodations even with the pandemic. Also, they were no working ice machines at all in the hotel. They were all broke. We did ask for early check in and they did not accommodate.

Not at all the quality of room we expected and had experienced at other Holiday Inn Express hotels on our trip.

    Unfortunately my room, 216, was directly across from the pool spotlight which made my room light up bright all night even with the curtain. Sheets seemed clean but had several stains. Shower was set up for disabled guests the shower head did not stay on the base so i had to hold it while I showered. Not a big deal but the overall landscaping could get some love, the hotel looked abandoned. Also, i was awoken at 5am by the construction going on directly across the parking lot.....

    The staff was very nice. The hotel room was not very clean... the bathroom to be exact. There was mildew spots in the shower area and just looked like it needed to be wiped down and the floors mopped.

    It's clean when you walk in and staff was nice. My complaints may be more related to the virus. Breakfast was canceled because of state ordinance. Our room wasn't clean the first day and had to ask for towels. They never brought soap, shampoo and small things. The room was never vacuumed the whole time we were there which was 6 nights. I would have extended my stay if it was cleaner. With everything going on I had to keep myself and kids safe.

    Very clean, big room with love seat, microwave and mini fridge. We only stayed one night, visiting family over the holidays, and this place was perfect. Staff was friendly and attentive, excellent breakfast was ready to go at opening, everything fresh and the lady setting up was really on top of everything. Thank you for making our short stay so pleasant.

    Very bad experience. Check in was at 3 and we arrived at 3 and our room was not ready i went back at 4 and it still wasnt ready. At 4:30 we left to go meet family and our room was still not ready. We arrived back at 10:15 and i stood at the front desk for 14 minutes waiting to get helped. I called the hotel abd the man came up to the front. There was very little toliet paper and i had to go back down there to get toliet paper.

    Room didn’t get cleaned for some reason and housekeeping had already left for the day. We were out most of the day so unsure why it didn’t get cleaned. Disappointed that the pancake maker wasn’t working. Didn’t work 3 months prior when we stayed either. Ceiling fan didn’t work either.

    The staff was very nice. We enjoyed the pool. My son his wife met us the next morning bringing my grandson home to mother. Stayed that night then left early. Breakfast was good no waffles but cook made great egg omelette. Cinnamon rolls a definite hit! Overall we had a great stay. Thank you!
