The only positive thing about this hotel is that it is in the city center. Access to tourist areas was very easy. Except for the location, everything was a disaster. The room ventilation was terrible—after even a short shower, the entire room smelled of dampness and humidity for days. The window couldn’t be opened, and there was mold in the corners of the walls. The room was extremely small for two people, with no space to store luggage or personal items. The lighting was also very poor—there was only one light on the ceiling directly above the bed, and when you lay down, it shone straight into your eyes. You either had to tolerate that or stay in complete darkness. Our memory of our trip to Barcelona was negatively affected mainly because of the four nights we spent in this hotel.

The location could not be better. Close to businesses, metro, many points of interest. We were met by a friendly member of staff. Extra bedding and towels. Ample shelves by the beds. The room was very small. The shower proved a little problematic for a larger person. There were no places to hang up towels so we put them on the closet door knobs. Room was too small for a table or chair.

Hilario was waiting for me when I arrived. He allowed me to check in early and was very helpful throughout my stay. He even provided a kettle so I could make tea/coffee. I loved the prime location and feeling like a part of the community. Personally, noise was not an issue for me and, more importantly, it was quiet at night. I slept very well. Thanks Hilario for everything. You are a gem. The room is small but I was aware of this before I booked. Additional lighting in the bathroom would be good but I appreciate that it is difficult to modify old buildings.

The location was great, in the heart of Gothic Quarter. It was fine for a solo traveler. There were many food choices near by and it was very good location for walking and was close to the metro. The air conditioning was not working very well, it got stuffy in my room. The TV did not work. It was a very bare bones kind of place. It was a little hard to find on arrival.

Great location. Wifi doesn’t work, you have to wait for hot water in the shower, and the beds are similar to those in hospitals.

Location was great. Marketing photos on booking are misleading. Entrance of this hotel was metal door that was locked. We rang the bell and person opened the door. We filled the paper work. The first impression of the room was so bad that we felt running somewhere else to find a normal hotel room. The room looked as a small closet, window looking at alley, not outside light coming in the room, very dark space, feeling of confining, barely space to walk in between beds. We decided to stay because we were in the very center of the town. Finally, the room was ok for sleeping over the night.

Good location, close to transport and attractions, bathroom was a good size compared to bathrooms at similar accomodation and had great air conditioning. No natural light (window tinted), room was a bit run down/damaged and some hair in bathroom and side of bed that hadn't been cleaned. No reception onsite but they were contactable if there were issues.

Very good

No Airconditioning, or it was broken. You need earplugs because the building has poor sound insulation. Small room, but clean. Fine for 2 or 3 days. They don't have a reception, which could ideally be replaced by a lock key system. It would given both parties more flexibility. Currently, you have to indicate your exact arrivel time, and if you are late, you are met with a less-then-warm welcome.

Great location, staff were helpful and provided a 2nd key when asked, easy check in and check in and check out. Nice room, a little small but plenty of closet space, a safe was provided, and the bathroom was nice with plenty of towels and supplies. TV didn't work and the air conditioning could do with a upgrade

Good location. Friendly welcome. Good communication. Very cramped and small. Only a bed and a bathroom. Not good value for money.

A convenient hotel in the busy old town district
