Barcelona City Hotel

I could open the doors with a long on my phone, phenomenal! The hall wasn’t as cured as the room, they could refine it better.(anyway it wasn’t bad at all)

Location. Very close to Casa Batllo (Gaudi) and across the street from excellent tapa restaurant and pastry shop. Digital keys for building, hotel and room entry worked flawlessly. Building entry dirty and Musty elevators. Room was very small and cramp for the high price.Mediocre continental breakfast for additional charge. The airline change our flight a day early. Could not get a refund or any credit for the unused hotel night.

Rooms are very small. Needs more air in the room. It got extremely hot and I had a panic attack. Not for me.

Great location close do Casa Battlo, metro station and buses

The Location and price were attractive. I appreciated the friendly staff. The entrance into the building is abhorrent and absolutely frightening. Once I got past that it really wasn’t too bad. I would say this was the least expensive private room I found in Barcelona but a little overpriced to call it s good value. If you are on a budget it may be your best option but expect the entrance pictured below.

Only one thing need improvement in bathroom ..space for sitting on WC is very strenchful to sit on

The room is good for its value The bathroom smelt extremely bad the entire time before we even got into the room and there was no window or ventilation in the restroom

It has an excellent location, with a subway station nearby and many bus stops around. There are also many interesting places where you can walk to. The room was good and clean. The breakfast was ok for the price. Something that can be better is the mattress. One of the mattress in our room felt a little deformed. Fortunately there was another bed in the room and it was better than the other one.

The hotel is located on the mid-level floors of a building, so it’s not always easy to spot from the street, the signage isn’t very visible, especially since the hotel operates under two names: Barcelona City Hotel and Hotel Universal. the entrance is on the corner of the building, opposite the pedestrian crossing on Carrer d’Arago. there are two elevators, but you need to climb 5-6 steps to reach them. a wheelchair platform lift was installed, but it was not working during my stay. rooms are generally quiet, with minimal street noise. however, the walls between rooms are quite thin, so louder conversations from other rooms can be heard.

Good central location for visiting the surrounding area walking , by train and bus Nothing

Location is really good, as well as the organization.

Great location close to the Metro Station, great views from the room. The place is squeaky clean Beds were a little uncomfortable but it’s perfect for just one night. Rooms are very small (expected) and walls are very thin, I could hear the guests next room laughing and taking and moving stuffs after quiet hours
