While my wife was alone in the room, everything was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, once other guests moved in, the stay turned into a nightmare. One girl was shaking the entire bed for half the night, making it impossible for my wife to sleep. The same person also occupied the shower for hours, which made things very inconvenient for others. Another guest kept walking back and forth through the room and shining a flashlight all night. It was extremely disturbing. In the morning my wife mentioned to a staff member that the coffee machine was not working, but the response was quite rude. The employee simply said that it was “not automatic.” How that was supposed to solve the problem was unclear, because the coffee machine still did not work. Overall, if you are lucky enough to stay alone in the room, you probably will not have any issues. But if you have to share it with other guests, the experience can easily become a complete nightmare.

I wanna say thank you for the host, especially girl who accepted me, unfortunately i don't remember her name. she kindly explained me stuff, i was terribly tired that day, but she was so nice. Thank you! I didn't like that at the moment, at night, someone in the room opened the door balcony and just left, and it was freaking cold. I didn't get why is it cold until i saw another room and that there the door was open outside.

We really liked the cleanliness, the comfy beds, and the common area with lots of natural light. I guess I don’t mind the location, even though it’s a bit far from my favorite Spanish supermarkets, but you can still walk there. And if you like to eat out, there are lots of different restaurant options nearby.

I thought the lockers would be larger, but they weren’t (a 77 cm suitcase does not fit). This was not a problem though—I put my belongings inside and left my suitcase outside. Everyone was doing the same. You need to have a large lock. There were no issues with cleanliness. There are 2 toilets and 3 showers. In the shower area, you have a private space where you can hang your belongings and get dressed (I think this is important, as in some hostels there is only the shower and a shared area). Not many people stay at the hostel, so I never had to wait (low season). The toilets and showers were always clean. Sometimes there was a smell, but I think it was related to the building’s infrastructure, and it didn’t bother me much. There are two hair dryers available. Toilet paper was always available in the toilets. Seeing that even the curtains in the room had been washed and being sure of that made me very happy. I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm, and it felt very safe. No one from outside can enter the hostel, and there are security cameras. Guests are not allowed. You enter by ringing the bell, which I think is very good. This place is not suitable for those looking for parties or who want people coming in and out freely. Breakfast is available in the morning and is free (croissants, pain au lait, bread, jam, milk, margarine, cake). The staff are helpful and kind. I was very satisfied with my stay. I found everything I was looking for at a sufficient level. The location is more than perfect. If I come back to Barcelona, I will definitely stay here again and won’t look anywhere else. I hope this helps those who are looking for a detailed review.

Having to ring the bell to get inside. It was not really a problem as the staff was always really quick to open the door, regardless of the time of day.

The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel’s location was amazing to reach most famous tourist spots.

Great location close to the center and in a neighborhood with lots happening around it. Rooms were comfortable and appreciated under bed storage for luggage. Nice patio and common spaces. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. Bathrooms were clean. Appreciated ability to check in late. Seemed like there might not be enough showers and bathrooms but it seemed to work fine based on the number of guests. "Breakfast" was simply toast and some jams but a nice gesture for something to eat when first wake up. Sound travels into the room pretty easily...from people in the common areas, swinging door to the office and people walking the halls.

Sound carries, linen was a bit harsh

The location is good, walking distance to restaurants and bars. This place was a dump…. I can’t believe how many positive reviews it has. I fell for it and when I got there I was in shock. I have stayed in hostels before and the quality of this was definitely on the lower end. Yes, it’s Barcelona and it’s expensive but you can get a much better hotel for the price. The place is very old and worn down. I stayed in a 4 bed women’s only dorm. The bathrooms are next door and you can hear the water and all the noises from the bathrooms the entire time. The cleanliness did not exist. There’s only 2 or 3 shared showers for everyone and they did not appear clean. I avoided touching anything in here other having to use the bed. I arrived to the hostel at 11pm, if I had arrived earlier I would consider finding another place. Some of the staff is not friendly. Check out is at 10am, so I went to the desk at 9:40am and asked if I can check out about 5 to 10 minutes past 10. I waited in line for almost 10 minutes to speak to speak to staff. Then I was told that I will be charged for a late check out I am anything past exactly 10am. In the morning the bathrooms also have a wait. So if you have to be somewhere, get up early and get in Que.

Good price and location, small and quiet, not bad and nothing special, nightshift Mexican ladie was very helpful and kind. AC was working properly, very important during summer The build up bathrooms a bit tight but I understand, nothing actually really bad now that I think of it

Location! It was very close to subway and Sagrada Familia. Staff were great! Air conditioning helps me to sleep in hot night! I did not have it, but there was free breakfast in the kitchen everyday. Just very noisy outside.
