Hotel HCC Regente is set in a traditional Modernist building which has been recently restored, maintaining its original features. HCC Regente is located on Rambla de Catalunya. The Regente features Art Nouveau décor and wrought-iron balconies. Each air-conditioned room has satellite TV, free Wi-Fi access and a mini-bar. The hotel serves a varied breakfast in its restaurant. Location and roof top bar with an excellent view of Barca and Sagrada Familia. The towels! Need to update their towels! The staff upon check in were not the most welcoming :(. The workers from the buffet breakfast who came down to help putting away the luggages of people who came in early like us treated us better than the women on the reception desk. Poor customer service on their part :(

Great location in Barcelona, lots of restaurants and attractions nearby, close to shops and small supermarkets. Twin room size was small but adequate, no view but still had natural light. Breakfast was adequate, and you can order fresh eggs to be cooked. Rooftop bar is nice in the evening, with a great view. Pool area is small but not crowded, but tables at the bar limited in the day. Looked at a double room which was very tiny and felt stuffy with no natural light - I feel that if these rooms are booked they should be at a lower price. Not much shade available at the pool area.

The breakfast was essentially european continental style. The breakfast room was light and airy. It was very good for my needs as im happy with this style of breakfast. There was a good choice of meats and cheeses. It may have been less so for some mainly British, or possibly American guests and their tastes. There was also an excellent view of the Segrada Familia from the roof top bar. Indeed the view in general on all 4 sides was very panoramic. All of the staff I spoke to were very helpful with a special mention to the reception staff who gave me some local advice on dining and somewhere with a good atmosphere to watch some football. Cheers. If I had to pick anything, it would be the lift access to the floors. The lift was quite small and held no more than 4 people at a squeeze, and only 2 if they had suitcases. Additionally it required key access at aĺl times which didn't help. Beyond that the hotel was lovely.

The property was in a great location. The hotel is very clean and the staff is great. The only minus was the air-conditioning in the room didn’t work consistently and the mini fridge didn’t cool enough.
