Best location in the city, exceptionally hospitable and friendly and helpful staff

The neighborhood was extremely noisy. Every night there was a lot of noise coming from outside, making it difficult to sleep. If you’re a light sleeper, this is definitely something to consider.

Staff was great. I was so happy it had a desk with 24 hour service for its guests. Loved that it had an elevator for our large bags. (The elevator in itself was a spectacle. Very old fashioned with a door that opens outward. I'd never seen anything like it. It was fun! Although very tiny). The room was small, but that was expected. There was still lots of walking room around our 2 large suitcases so it wasn't horrible. The shower had fantastic water pressure and nice hot water. The location of the hostel was phenomenal. Right in the Gothic district and within very short steps to shops, bars, restaurants. Also just blocks from the waterfront, boardwalk, beach. We only stayed 2 nights but it was fun. Due to the tiled floors in the rooms and hallway it could get very loud. We could hear people moving beds and furniture around for some reason. But at night surprisingly it was quiet. The hotel provided ear plugs, and we soon found out why. So that was a nice touch.

Location location location I like everything

Location is within the gothic quarter. Awesome to be surrounded by walkable attractions, places, bars and restaurants that are just around the corner. Botique shops are plenty and of course with touristy prices. Cleanliness is passable. Balcony is cute. Security concern. Only 1 key to a room is given to the group. Everytime you leave, you need to leave the key to the receptionist and obtain it again when you return. Need to take a photo of the room # key holder to show as proof you are the occupant. Reception is on flr#2. Our room was on for #4. Such a hassle!

It is more expendive now

Location is great- they received a package for us before our stay and they saved us. Everything was perfect

Basic room, the window is facing a wall and therefore there is almost no sunlight or fresh air. Everything else was fine, so still recommendable for a short stay.

The A/C turned off every 30 minutes making it very hot at night

Dated and the linens, etc. were old.

Located in the middle of Old Town. So many shops and restaurants close by made it easy to grab a cafe in the morning and tapas at night. Shower head bracket broken and wouldn’t hold the shower want upright. No big deal but would be easier to rinse your hair if it stayed in place.

I loved the proximity to everything, the cleanliness, and the staff was very nice. The beds were very uncomfortable, they were just cots.

Location was perfect.

I am writing a 10* review because of the communication of the team at the hotel When i was taking a shower at the bathroom the glass of the cabinet broke on me and hurt my leg , i informed them and they give me first aid , then they came all to clean the place and they apologised about that ( which isnt there fault) I recommended this place Good location In the city centre All good

Wifi was terrible in the morning but good in the evenings. Grotty first impression but it is a hostel not a hotel and was actually great value for money- a great twin room with private shower room.

Found it a little expensive

Good walking distance to the center, quite close to La Rambla and the metro (Liceu is the closest stop). Room was clean and linens were replaced daily. The shower had good pressure and got quite warm fast. Staff was helpful and the reception is open 24/7. The walls are quite thin so you could hear everything from all the adjacent rooms, plus the room opens directly on the reception so you can hear other guests come in. Both windows opened on an interior court, and you're on the second floor of a quite tall building, so you get no light whatsoever.
