It’s in the center of the major attractions The construction noise in our 3 days of stay was very loud. I think they have a major construction. The grinding and hammering all day long. It’s difficult to rest. The common batroom is right next to the receiving office with the 24hrs staff. It’s very uncomfortable especially when coming out of shower or just doing a no.2

I had a good impression of this hostal from the moment I arrived a little early for check-in, was greeted by a friendly helpful person at reception, was helped with my luggage, and passed cheerful cleaning staff on the way to my room. The room, though small, had everything I needed - a place for my suitcase and a place to hang clothes. The shared bathrooms were well kept; it was nice to have a sink in the bedroom, and there was masses of hot water. Two bathrooms worked fine for the number of rooms sharing them. Small touches, like a painting of ivy on the wall, gave the room a pleasant, cheerful vibe. The downstairs code for the front door was easy to use and well lit. Everything about this place felt welcoming. The location was great - a metro stop right outside the front door and a leisurely twenty minute walk the old city. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood. Considering this is a hostal not a hotel, it surpassed my expectations, and I would definitely choose to stay here again. N/A

Noise from the street

Location was excellent, right at the entrance to the subway to the Sagrada Família. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. I liked that there was a sink in our room. Nothing

Was a simple but clean and comfortable room. Had two shared bathrooms (each 1 toilet, 1 shower) for a floor of around 9 units which worked fine. Great front reception staff. Very good cost savings vs a hotel with en suite.

Perfect location. In front of metro station and other train station. Walk to Flamenco show, market.sagrada familia ( 45 min. But fun walking) Entrance was hard to find and required a code to access. Still manageable. Staff is supportive.

Great location. Clean premises and friendly staff. Nothing to mention.

It is always a pleasure to discover a budget hotel in a city filled with overpriced accommodations. And especially one in the city center, walkable to all attractions, and with a metro station right outside the door. The staff is kind and accommodating, when my train was delayed, they made alternate arrangements for me immediately. The building has a lift. My room was small, but spotlessly clean, with a comfy bed and pillow. There was an aircon unit, but I did not need AC or heat in February. There is a TV. The shower had strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. I appreciated the shared kitchen area. It is not meant for cooking full meals, but very convenient with a fridge, microwave, kettle, tea selection, etc. The kitchen side of the hotel may be too loud for some guests. I think they try to place families on that side. I was on the other side, which seemed to have the single and double rooms. I found it quiet and slept very well (of course, I always sleep with earplugs when I travel). I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it!

Great place, the staff is very nice
-
Small but clean. Main advantages are very central location and the really good price for such central location given how expensive accommodation is in Barcelona.

The staff is amazing. The room and bathrooms are very clean
-
No private toilet/shower And you can hear the noise from the other room

Bad odor emanating from pipes in bathroom were so bad at night. I'm not a complainer but I had to plug my nose to use bathroom at night Also unfortunately because of the wooden doors and tile stairs, people were slamming and making noise checking in at all hours. There were signs for people to be quiet but they didn't pay attention. And management didn't enforce quietness although they live on premises. Also there is no elevator and the stairs are a bitch. The house keeping ladies are really thorough and clean so it's very tidy. And the managers have a super cute dog! It's a really pretty place in a really fabulous neighborhood. Bring your earplugs.

The accommodation

Very clean and things appeared as they did online. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful! The room was clean. I also appreciated that check in was at 1 pm and we could store our bags there the next day while we did sightseeing. Great value.

Cleaning was on top , also the girl name Paola she was helpuf and really nice.

The room I stayed in was very close to the front desk. I appreciate that the desk is staffed 24hours/day, which is at least in part because they have to buzz you into the building. But when someone outside rings the buzzer, it's extremely loud. I had earplugs in my ears, but slept poorly because the buzzer rang repeatedly throughout the night. Hostal Delfos should update their system so that that buzzer isn't disturbing guests throughout the night. It was so bad that I had to pay for a different hotel for my second night. Additionally, the one small window in my room had a shade that I couldn't open, so the room received almost no natural light during the day.

The location is the best The showerhead kept falling off, there was no place to put soap and it was overpriced

The location, good place.

Good location, just above the metro station. 20min to the Sants train station. 24h reception. A room with a very small shared bathroom, minimal facilities, only the very very basic things. Maybe it’s the general problem of the city, everything is just overpriced.
