El Avenida Palace Hotel

The room was well appointed, comfortable king bed, the bathroom was huge. There were no tables or chairs in the room. So there was no place to put anything, no place to have room service comfortably. There was one small window tucked into the corner of the room but it couldn't be opened fully.

Hotel and location were great! Room was a good size and everything was within walking distance. We asked the front desk for a taxi, they got it for us but as soon as the driver took a turn he said to us “we have a deal with the hotel and the charges to the train station will be more!”. I just wanted to tell him to stop the car and let us out. What a rip off. Never again will Be asking to get us a taxi. The hotel should’ve said something.

The location was very good, and the breakfast provision was more than adequate with a good selection of choices. The reception staff on arrival and during the stay seemed a little abrupt and disinterested. The bar provision left a lot to be desired. As it was the World Cup weeks, a large TV was placed in the bar which was appreciated. However the staff just turned it off mid game as the they wanted to shut the bar and close. Why bother with providing the TV? So frustrating. Our room just faced onto in internal courtyard with window fogged out, so no view out due to other room windows facing. The room only had a bathroom mirror, not good when dressing before going out. Room cleaning totally missed on one day. Biggest issue is the noise from adjacent rooms and those above, the drainage system is so noisy and dare I say embarrassing.

location is great. in the heart of the city the main area including rambala is walkable great restaurants nearby Our mobile phone was stolen from our room from the bag while we were out for 2 hours. Is this what you expect from a €900/ day hotel? When we reported the incident to hotel management, instead of taking the matter seriously and conducting a proper investigation, we were immediately told that they "trust their staff" and that such a thing was not possible. The responsibility was conveniently shifted onto us, with repeated suggestions that we must have misplaced the phone elsewhere. The complete dismissal of our complaint and the attempt to undermine our account was a textbook example of gaslighting and extremely unprofessional customer service. the hotel called after 3 days after we reached our home country saying the found the phone and it was with the "laundry", honestly hard to believe any of it was true Unfortunately, this incident was only the culmination of an already disappointing stay. From the moment we checked in, the room was small, poorly maintained and the bathroom had a strong sewage odor. When we raised the issue, we were told that this was "normal for a city hotel during the rains." When we requested a room change, we were bluntly informed that there was no availability and that we were free to move to another hotel if we were unhappy. The lack of hospitality continued throughout our stay. Complimentary water and coffee were provided only upon arrival and were never replenished despite our multi-day stay. Room service shuts down at 10 PM, offering little flexibility for guests. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. Beyond that, our experience was unacceptable. If I could give this property a negative rating, I would. I strongly advise potential guests to definitely note that for every request or concern we raised, the standard response was simply that it was not possible and that they could not accommodate it, and look elsewhere.

Biel was so very helpful and generous. Beto had great energy and a credit to the company Had to change rooms as mattress was quite inferior to what a luxury hotel should be. I was upgraded to a spectacular penthouse room which air conditioning did now work until front desk representative repaired As beautiful as room was, the electrical system was quite problematic with no instructions to use. Had to call front desk again. But thank you for the upgrade The most disruptive matter was the mattress in 601——-very second rate not worthy of a luxury hotel

Nice size room , location was very good close to shopping , exploring and restaurants. Hotel has nice breakfast . They make you wait until check in which is 3 pm even if you arrive early , we where told our room was vacant and they would try to expedite cleaning the room because we arrived at 10 AM , However, we were not given the room until 215p after inquiring as to why they had us wait so long . We also had water leaking from our bathroom ceiling, we called twice before they finally someone to take care of it.Staff for most part were friendly .

The outside pool area even though online it looks a lot bigger than what it was Extremely small room, stained bathroom unit, very expensive for what you get. Wouldn’t book again.
