really impressive locks - on flimsy doors.... Everything was wrong. Staff were confused and unhelpful- and left, so our concerns were not resolved. Called the next day, and day staff also confused and unhelpful. No reimbursement and no receipt for payment provided. NOT a smoke-free place- smokers were in the common area- and given the cramped space, in our room too. Window opened into a miniscule walled space- also with cigarette odours. As some others commented, the linen and towels were well used and room partly cleaned. Other clients present did not make us feel safe. Ordinary sounds penetrated the walls. With 4 night booking we left without using the room- but now weeks later the owner has denied our experience was possible and no refund - over 600 euros- has been forthcoming. Booking.com is looking into our complaint- but weeks later no action yet.

I stayed here a couple years ago and enjoyed the stay then, decided to come back and really like the updates they’ve made with the entry and the rooms. They also very kindly extended our accommodations an extra day last minute. I like the location and how easy it is to pop on and off the metro! Staff was so lovely and everything was kept very clean! Nothing negative to say! I would book there again!

Vacation

Nothing to speak of. The bedroom was small and the shower leaked. The Hostel is under new management and they are in the process of restructuring. Not like shown in photos.

The location is excellent, which was the most important thing for us — close to everything we needed and easy to get around. The only downside was that the internet didn’t work during the night, and the breakfast could use a bit more variety in savory options. We don’t eat pork, and unfortunately, all the cold cuts were pork-based. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place to others. If you care more about location and price than the look of the accommodation, this is a great choice — after all, you don’t come to Barcelona to stay in the hostel all day!

There were signs everywhere about camera surveillance or extra fees, and the tone felt unfriendly to me. I think bathrooms are very narrow so bigger or taller person may have some problems with it.

We get there and guy tells us we have to rent towels, can't use kitchen on our own, and we have to pay 15 Euros extra every day for air conditioning. And there's signs everywhere threatening to kick you out if you don't follow rules. None of this stuff was stated in any of the adds about this place. I would've been better off just paying more money for a real hotel. Seriously. If I had to do this again I would not be cheap and just stay at a decent hotel. We didn't save ANY money staying here.

Deposite after confirmation

They charge extra for almost everything (air conditioning, towels) and they take a big deposit which I have never experienced at a hostel before.

Nice breakfast spread. I loved the convenience of the area. Easily accessible through public transportation & great stores & restaurants all around. They will wake you before check out time. Everything extra costs a fee.

Very clean. Nice staff. Good communication. Having own bathroom in a hostal is the best! Good cafe con leche. Breakfast included but also a great breakfast place next door. Wasn’t there long enough to take advantage of the balconies. 10 min walk to the boqueria market. Elevator is available. As a solo traveler the street at night was a little sketchy. I did not walk back there at night, only taxi. Felt very safe inside the building though. AC is not included in the room but good ceiling fan.

Staff in the hostel is just supercare and professional! Oscar performs like 5 star personel, very helpful during the breakfast and overall. Cleaning lady knows her job also, super clean everyday?location is great, as well as mantras and pillows! Highly recommend!!! A little bit of tiny bathroom, but next time I will try to book option with room with inside bathroom for more convenience.

Happy with everything with the hotel. In a great location. Nice and clean and the breakfast staff member was very accomdating and friendly. Really good value for money and I'd recommend it to anyone. The only drawbacks were that on one evening the room nearby was very loud through the night. No fault of the hotel. The only downside I had was I struggled a bit with the rules and communication beforehand and was a bit unsure of the €100 euro deposit. Was a bit worried that I wouldn't get it back but it was fine and I'm sure most people would be fine with it. Thanks for a trip to remember!

The staff are very kind and very helpful. (I thank them a lot for helping me out when checking in) There is a nice breakfast every morning. The shower was nice. The air conditioning was good as well. Easy and very safe to enter the building I definitely recommend staying there. The bed needs thicker covers and pillows.

Room and balcony. That the staff entered the room during our absence without asking or warning and took the lamp without warning us that they wanted to come in. For me, this was very strange.
