Everything! The location, staff, interior, facilities. The common washroom was not always clean.

Great location near the Arc de Triomphe. Tiny elevator available. Spotlessly clean. Well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful high ceilings, allowing the bunk beds to be tall enough not to hit your head (although the upper bunks are a little hard to climb up to). Some street noise but not bad, no major bars outside making noise. Locker with key, free and roomy. Sheets provided, towel for rent. When we stayed there were no noisy guests, everyone was quiet and respectful. No washing machine for laundry. One of the women’s bathrooms had a sink suitable for handwashing, but the other had no stopper in the sink so unable to do handwashing. There was a small courtyard with drying racks.

- Neighbourhood is great ; Staff was friendly, helpful and clear on the house rules. - High ceilings increase the sensation of space but also amplifies any noises. - Terrace is quite enjoyable, despite mosquitos. Considering the price, the space and the neighbourhood, I would have expect proper bulk beds like we are now seeing in hostels, and not summer camps basic furnitures. Especially if dorms are mixed ! It tells a lot about the business model somehow :-( Pillows and blankets could use cleaning more often (old sweat smell) We had to leave the window open at night to cool the room, which isn't the best for a good sleep when you are located in a busy avenue with all-night traffic including bus services.

Very disappointing experience. The hostel refused to refund a reservation they could not accommodate, leaving us with nowhere to stay. Since we were traveling on a tight budget, we couldn’t afford to book another place last minute and ended up spending almost 20 hours at the airport. There was no flexibility, understanding, or effort to help resolve the situation, which made an already stressful experience much worse.
