Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests praising the location, staff, and cleanliness, but expressing concerns about the pillows, parking, and surrounding area. Some guests also reported issues with the pool, breakfast, and room amenities.
- Great location close to downtown and convention center
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Small and flat pillows for a king size bed
- Valet parking only and expensive
- 5/5
Staff member in the front was able to check me in early with no extra fees Room was very comfy
- 5/5
Great for solo travel to downtown Austin.
- 3/5
Property and staff were good. Only surprise was the valet parking not specified while booking. Had $70 valet parking or was told by valet I could park on the side of the road…Mind you where there are a lot of homeless people and no security so I felt I was forced to pay valet parking
- 5/5
really great stay overall ! staff was amazing and super helpful ! only thing i missed out on was there's no natural light coming in anywhere from the guest rooms.

The valley parking needs to pay more attention, they tore my right side mirror off my truck.

Don't bring ur car unless ur willing to spent on valet parking or risking leaving ur car parked on the street..
- 3/5
The valet parking is an utter ripoff - about $70 per night but extra fees and mandatory tips are charged in addition to the nightly rate. There is no one at this hotel to assist older guests or guests who need help with their luggage, etc. as far as I could determine. Meal prices are outrageous. I wanted yogurt and a cup of coffee & was required to buy the $25 buffet breakfast for very little food on a Saturday morning.
- 1/5
The AC unit in the living area part of my suite didnt work the entire time. The $69 dollars a night for valet parking is extremem.especially since my car didnt move the entire time. When I did ask the valet to get something out of my car for me..he handed me my keys , gave me the directions how to walk up the ONE WAY for cars only ramp to get what I needed and bring him the keys back. That and the fact I have to go all the way back down a very slow elevator after a long day in order to get my Uber eats which are not allowed to deliver straight to the room is the reason this will be my 1st and ONLY time ever to stay here.
- 3/5
Hotel is ok for a night, our room was clean but smell musty and the bathroom had hair on floor and towel holder was just hanging with one screw. The hotel is older but for the price and location is ok.

Clean room, Staff is nice, didn't try breakfast and didn't use parking. convenient location near a grocery store and target if you need basic necessities. Tiny bathroom and that's about it
- 3.5/5
Location unbeatable. Staff was just OK. Not as friendly as Austin in general. Parking is $70/night. That's absurd. Tried to cancel my last night well ahead of time, but I was told it would cost $300 more for one night less.

I love the location and staff of the hotel. Very convenient and comfy. Staff were all friendly and kind! Would like to stay there again when I visit Austin! The toilet water pressure was a bit weak, and the fan noise a bit loud, but it was understandable.

- 5/5
Great hotel. The shop in the lobby is a little overpriced but couldn’t fault the rest of it.
- 5/5
We love this hotel and have stayed for several years. Unfortunately, taller towers are being built all around so the view is disappearing. We still love the location and it is a classy place.
- 1.5/5
The location is the only thing good about this property The staff was rude, our room was gross. We woke up to the toilet leaking from the base and they tried to blame us.
- 4/5
Was a quick stop but everything was great, extremely spacious
- 2.5/5
The location was great, walking distance to convention center and nearby eating placess. The Check-in process was slow, only one staff all time. Only one elevator was working for the during of my stay. Very slow to up and down via the elevator. The room cleaning service was unaccetable. Just came in just changing towels, bathroom floor was not cleaned at all for the during of my stay.
- 5/5
pool was dirty
- 5/5
The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. We had a wonderful stay. Great location too!
- 3/5
Asked 3 time to have our room cleaned and fresh towels. 4th time we finally received towels but not housekeeping.
- 1/5
Staff was great. There was blood on the bed sheets, and not from me. There was someone else’s hair all over it as well. The air conditioning did not work. The toilet barely flushed and got clogged on of the nights.
- 3/5
I was ok with the stay, the room was spacious and amenities were ok. I liked that there was a microwave in my room as well as the coffee maker and fridge. On the Saturday morning of my stay, there was a fire evacuation but from my room no. 1405, i was completely unaware of the evacuation until i happened to step out of my room to leave for an event and the cleaner had to signal to me that we needed to evacuate. Knowing you dont use lifts, she still called the lift? But we headed to the stairs. Being on the 14th floor was not helpful and i was late to my event. I couldnt stay to see the outcome of the evacuation, but saw all was ok when i returned later that afternoon. No attempt to contact me was made. I saw the fire trucks all leaving later that day.

the room was nice and clean. staff was very friendly. upon arrival only one elevator was working. perfect location and easy to find.
- 2/5
When the elevator door did open up it was packed like sardines. The amenities area in the lobby had no coffee and hot water machine was out of order to make a cup of tea.
- 3/5
The elevators in the building were only one work and very slow and old.
- 5/5
everything is great
- 3/5
The elevator is very slow and there is only 1 working. The wait time can be a few minutes
- 4/5
The room is clean, but the elevator is crowded because all 4 elevators only one is running
- 5/5
Room was spotless and the staff very professional
- 3/5
the hotel was fine and good location. rooms had water damage, air conditioner didn't work in all the rooms. there was only one working elevator which made it very difficult to get to rooms and down again.
- 4/5
Needs some update. Overlalm greta location, good service
- 3/5
It was an ok stay. Valet is pretty pricey especially for overnight. The room wouldn’t get cold. Also our restroom one morning had ants in the sink & a few in the tub. (No food was left in there). Only one elevator was working. The staff was pretty nice though overall.
- 1/5
The room felt neglected and room service did not come once, leaving us to request fresh towels each day. Every time we did ask, the front desk made us come down to the lobby, which was a difficult task in itself since 1 of the 4 elevators was working throughout the duration of our trip. Upon asking for any accommodations, the front desk staff was rude and very unhelpful.
- 4/5
Room was clean, friendly staff
- 4/5
The room is good and little homeless people around but they didn’t bug us even though it was Kate at night. Didn’t like that the elevators are broken but one so it takes u a bit to go up or down. Coffee maker is broken. But locations isn’t bad. Not long walks.
- 2/5
The hotel is very old and the sink is leaking. Although they changed the room for me but the sound proof is not good. You can hear the noise like music sound system
- 1/5
2. The valet text service was useless and never worked no matter what phone number we gave. 3. Uncontrolled people in the halls drunk and screaming, slamming doors etc all night and I mean all night, no security, nobody stopped any of it. 4. No coffee in the room, just tea. 5. No coffee in the lobby area at all 6. Homeless people defacating just outside the hotel lobby. Austin has become a cesspool and this hotel was nowhere near a Hilton Hotel experience. Never coming back. -0 rating

Three of four elevators broken. Had to allow 15 min extra for every trip. Breakfast buffet was scraped out before closing time but I was still seated when there was no food left.

- 0.5/5
It was clean and the room was spacious 1. Valet parking is the only option and it’s $69/night! The price is not stated in the info so once you are there it’s too late! 2. The restaurant is only open 2 hrs in the morning & then again at 5pm, so if you want food there is none midday! 3. Everything is over priced! 3 drinks/1snack at the snack store $40! 4. The standard breakfast that at most hotels is included is $22/pp! 4. Incidental deposit $300! 5. They charged me 2x at checking and the staff person could not correct it - only the manager! 6. They charged me an unknown $158 that is still not explained and now I need to dispute! 7. The last day of my stay all the elevators were down! Only 1 service elevator was working & everyone had to wait for staff to run people up & down! 8. I stayed during the winter storm & the building was not heated so you had to stay in your room the entire time! If I could give it zero stars I would! Worse experience ever!
- 2/5
Check in was fast and simple. It felt private and safe inside the hotel, it was clean and well kept. Friendly staff and easy check out as well Only ONE working elevator for 18 floors. Staff didn't disclose this at check-in. No option to use the stairs if in the lobby. Food delivery was only able to be dropped off downstairs, so the process of using the elevator, picking up your food, then waiting for the one elevator and getting back up to your room could take 20+ minutes.
- 2/5
The most helpful person I talked to was responding to my complaint about our shower drain not draining. She let me know someone would be up to fix it. When I got back to my room hours later the shower didn't seem to be fixed. After showering for about 1 minute the water would back up.
- 3/5
Yes room was in excellent condition
- 3/5
Parking situation (valet only, expensive) was not good. Multiple elevators broken for the entire stay. Location very loud during nights late.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, location close to restaurants, market and Target. Microwave didn't work, it was replaced within 30 minutes.
- 4/5
Parking only offered valet.
- 2/5
Location, walk distance to venues Only one of four lifts working. Long wait. Breakfast was awful. No choices, warm food, dry scramble eggs…. No accessible sockets We had to me prepare the third bid
- 2/5
No issues
- 0.5/5
Nothing. We had to check in 3 hours late. The breakfast we paid for wasn’t open until 7 am and we had to leave by 6:30. The showers wouldn’t drain the water. Overall- terrible.
- 3/5
Walls were also a little thin in the bathroom. I slept in on breakfast days so I can’t comment. Otherwise, it is centrally located to both East and West Downtowntown Austin. I was able to walk to venues. It was clean. Reservations, check in and check out went smooth.

Advertised as having a “breakfast buffet” but there wasn’t one. Just a restaurant where you can order/pay for breakfast. Generic bottles of water were $7. Parking overnight $68. Will never book again.
- 2/5
The hotel doesn’t have parking. We have no choice to pay $60 valet parking overnight a day it’s an acceptable and he was not mention on the description when I made my reservation with Expedia then the elevators do not work correctly. Take forever I believe they have four elevators only one is working. It’s unacceptable for this kind of hotel

1 elevator of 4 working, they do the bedroom skipping one day
- 5/5
Our AC was broken, but the staff moved us as soon as we brought it to their attention with no trouble. Great stay
- 3/5
Hotel was clean but clearly out of date in some areas. The only parking option is Valet at $70 minimum per night. Only 1 elevator worked so it took forever to get to your room or back downstairs.
- 3/5
We were required to use the hotel’s valet parking which was $60 per night, totaling up to more than our entire reservation. We were not made aware of this caveat before hand. The hotel staff were nice, but there was solely one elevator working during our stay. Making our wait times for the elevator exceptionally long. Finally the hotel’s breakfast was not open for several days, with no prior warning. Our rooms were clean and well kept, it was just the general management and infrastructure of the hotel that irritated us.

The hotel and parking are scam
- 5/5
Loved everything about my stay ❤️
- 3/5
The hotel is very nice and is located within a walkable distance of the main attractions in downtown. The hotel parking is so expensive that I could not use it. Sadly, we couldn't have our breakfast as promised because the chef was off. In general, the staff was very welcoming and nice.
- 5/5
Very clean.

- 5/5
Rachel was awesome!
- 3/5
The toilet didnt flush, I had to adjust the height of valve in the back of the toilet to get it to flush on one press.
- 4/5
Yes parking was easy
- 4/5
Only one of the 4 elevators worked and that is not ideal for a 18 floor building. Otherwise great stay.
- 1/5
Worst hirel so far in Austin. Pricy parking that requires valet or park 2 blocks away. So bad service. So dated. Oh my…
- 5/5
I stayed in a confortable and clean 1 King room. The staff at this location was kind and welcoming. There was a great snack selection in the lobby for getting a late night bite and putting it on your room. The fitness area was pretty good (free weights, treadmills, flat benches, balance balls, etc). The lobby and mezzanine level were both great for relaxing outside the room. The location is also a reasonable walking distance to downtown Austin locations and food spots as well as Target and Whole Foods.
- 5/5
Rachel warmly welcomed us and made sure we were taken care of. She really stands out as a star with customer service.
- 5/5
room was spacious and the location was great

Room wouldn't heat, only blew freezing air all night! However they fixed it the next day.
- 4/5
The staff was great - but the parking costs were a disappointment-
- 4/5

- 2/5
The hotel was close to the football stadium. But the conditions of the hotel need to be up graded. The hotel room looked dirty and old.
- 5/5
Very pet-friendly hotel. Everyone was exceptionally nice.
- 3/5
Ridiculous parking fees, no coffee, drinks and restaurant was wayyy overpriced. Not being cheap but I wasn’t staying at a 5 star hotel. Only 1 elevator was working. Will not be staying there again. Staff was nice.
- 5/5
TRULY amazing staff (especially Brenda!!!) and was so accommodating. Rooms were amazing and I 100% recommend!
- 2/5
Breakfast was not included in a musty hotel in a bad part of Austin. The room smelled of wet carpet and mildew. The bathroom was not clean and had warped cabinets from excessive water. The automated water station in the lobby was dirty and could have harbored bacteria or e.coli- I didn’t dare refill my water bottle. No mention of parking wasn’t included which was an extra $69 per day and so t forget to tip the valet on top of that! Very Disappointed overall with the property.
- 4/5
breakfast was not offered. Parking was insanely expensive at $69/night. We parked at the public lot a block from the hotel for $15
- 5/5
The desk clerk was outstanding. She saw I was upset for personal reasons and she went out of her way to assist me, showing empathy and kindness. I believe her name Caroline but my memory is not the best so could be carmine
- 1/5
Awful stay. Room hadn’t been cleaned and there was almost no water pressure and no hot water at all. Never will return and will be disputing the charge for the stay.
- 3/5
The location was good for our needs on this trip. The rate was good compared to surrounding hotels. We parked our car at a friends and biked to the hotel to save over $200. Several complaints, when we checked in early on a Thursday afternoon, there were no luggage carts and no rooms with an exterior window. We had a window facing the interior lobby even though we requested a window facing the Capitol. On Saturday night the 4 or 5 elevators weren't working so when we checked out we had to carry all our bags down 14 flights!
- 1/5
You do not find out until you get there they charge you $70.00 to park your car.
- 1/5
BEWARE NO PARKING. Be prepared to show up at 9 pm and be told there is no parking left and you have to park in a public parking garage. For a day and a half that cost us $70. Also watch your debit/credit cards. Ours was charged double the original booking fee and then I had to cancel that debit card, in order to make sure the charge wouldn’t go through becaus the front said “they couldn’t do anything about it”. Very inconvenient to be out of town without a debit card. Rooms were not the cleaned and our toilet ran constantly which made it hard to sleep. Definitely do not recommend.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. We came into town for a concert. It was very close by and we felt safe.
- 1/5
-$22 per adult for a continental breakfast, which is the exact same free breakfast at any other Hilton Garden Inn. -Paint peeling in the Bathrooms -Loud music playing until 2am -Pool was disgustingly dirty and did not look any like the pictures -Only 2 elevators were working for 18 floors which made wait times very long There are many places around to stay, try somewhere else.
- 1/5
Nowhere in the description does it list that you can not park a dually truck in the parking lot. When I checked in, I was told I couldn't park at the hotel and I should park at an uncovered, public lot down the street. After the first night of my stay, I put all of my clothing in the closet except for my jacket. When cleaning my room, my jacket was removed and taken to lost and found as if my room was being cleaned for another person. This was just a terrible experience. There are plenty of expensive hotels in downtown Austin, choose another one!!!!
- 4/5
Great experience but be warned breakfast is not included and you will be charged $80 per day for parking that is not mentioned until you arrive.
- 3/5

I was highly disappointed. I paid $300 for one night. Forced to get valet parking for an extra $70 if i didn't want to pay for public parking. My room had toenail clippings in the floor. There were two large stains on the carpet. Furniture was broken and badly glued back together. A hole in the bathroom door was horrible patched and just painted over. There are water stains in the bathroom. A new piece of artwork was hung below existing hardware for a previous picture. Having to pay for coffee in the lobby. You guys already have my $300, what else do you want?
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything looked clean and there was food options very close to the hotel.
- 5/5
The room was nice and clean and so was the bathroom but I have to say the elevators got me and my friend dizzy every time we used them and this has never happened before so I’m not sure what it could be, they also sound old. We went to the bar once but we really enjoyed our drink and the service provided. We didn’t get to try the breakfast so I’m not sure if it’s good or not. They have valet parking which is nice didn’t have any problems and was also given good service. Overall I would probably stay here again and recommend it to others.
- 5/5
Staff were excellent

However, I unfortunately need to address was experience with valet. Pulling up the valet attendant seemed dazed, confused, sweating profusely; and I was concerned that maybe he was experiencing some sort of heat stroke or dehydration at first. He was swaying a bit when he leaned down to our driver window and asked us what we are here for and we had to repeatedly assure him that we had a reservation already booked after he told us that the hote was booked out. He then simply, empty eyed, stared at us and finally asked for my name. After his slurring, we climbed out the car and I went to grab our bags from the trunk. Before I even finished pulling things out the valet driver began to drive with me half way bent into the trunk😨 Our car has a feature that it will loudly & repeatedly beep if the trunk is open while in Drive (also rear view mirror🙄) he didn’t hear me or my guests callinf him to stop until his coworker shouted loudly enough for him to realize. We’ve yet to check out and I’m hoping our vehicle is in the same condition as it was before it was parked by that specific attendant (especially for a $70 single overnight charge?). Checking in we were all left wondering if staff isnt accommodated for the heat and he experience dehydration or if he was just really high on the job… driving vehicles for guests.

- 5/5

The valet parking service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. They’re extremely slow and expensive. $70 per day. Also, they did attempt to charge my credit card for two days valet service even though we arrived at 4PM and departed the hotel by 10AM the following day. Check your credit card charges with this valet service! The valet service makes you download an app and holds your car hostage until you do it and show them you completed the transaction. It’s sketchy!
- 5/5
Other than reception being too slow(any time of the day),I had great experience.
- 1/5
Horrid experience. Awful customer service and professionalism. $90 to park PER night. And, refusal to repair maintenance issues with toilet in room!!
- 3/5
Bar and restaurant were not open Saturday night (part of the reason we booked this place). Convenience to Austin’s landmarks was great. Hotel is very outdated, but not yet entirely decrepit. Service was great, though valet did take a little longer than expected and is not optional (~$70/night)—unless you’d like to park your car far away in an unsafe lot.
- 4/5
The pool is tiny and was freezing cold. Rooms are ok, people are friendly. I remember it was terrific years ago
- 2/5
I was forced to change rooms once, but I should have requested a second time as the bathroom was unsanitary. I was just too tired to switch rooms again. Staff was willing to come up and clean, but I just went to sleep.
- 2/5
Pillows were awful and the bed was too soft. I left with back pain. There are many restaurants close by but vegetarian options were lackluster. They don't reimburse you for cancelations, at least when you buy through expedia, so I highly suggest picking a different hotel that has more character and isn't afraid to let you cancel or switch to a different hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean, friendly.
- 5/5
Nice place for walking to different dinning and entertainment options
- 5/5
The hotel is located in a great area for my work. The location is close to the freeway, which makes it easy to access my sales territory. When I return, this location will be my choice.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 1/5
Pool was disgusting. Hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. Valet code charged me twice and nothing they nor front desk could do about it. Shower head was broken. Will not stay with them again

Great location if you want to go to 6th street to have fun.

I only stayed for one night, but the room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were excellent. It was also very spacious. I had forgotten some important toiletries at home, and the staff kindly provided them at no extra cost. I will come back and recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Great hotel stay. Would definitely return!
- 4/5
Overall a good experience. Parking was a bit pricey but the valet staff were very nice. Room was pretty good but the humidity at night was slightly uncomfortable. All staff were very friendly and professional.
- 2/5
The AC in the room wasn’t working as good. Our room was cool but wasn’t cooling down. Had to turn the AC to 60 to be comfortable and not wake up sweating
- 5/5
We came to party so we were in the best location
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 4/5
The staff was top tier!
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
I liked everything the only thing was the bed was detached or broken so everytime we would get off our on the bed it would hit the wall
- 5/5
I was in Austin for our Project SEARCH Conference all week. We had great customer service and a comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Everything was magnit
- 1/5
It's not a horrible place. The managment is dishonest and not trustworthy. I had to depart 1 day early. Orbitz contacted the manager but had some difficulty. I saw him in the lobby and gave him all my details. He said, "no problem, I'll approve your refund.", then he didn't. The rooms are adequate, the staff is nice. The place is a bit run down. Don't trust the management.

Our stay was overall great
- 3/5
The place was nice and the service inside was great. However, this place had a "Valet Only" service and it was $70! Insane! We stayed there for less than 24 hours total time, from check in to check out. When it was time to check out and retrieve our vehicle, we checked out a little early to get our vehicle incase there was a rush of people coming down at check out time. We waited and waited. Finally after seeing people come and go and the app they had us check the vehicle out with, kept showing they were still getting it, I finally went up to check on it. The valet person there looked it up and apologized that no one had gotten to it. So we waited over 30 minutes to get them to bring our car down. They still wanted a tip! I did like this hotel, the room and view were very nice. However, I will not come back to spend $70 on valet.

There is a very strong mildew smell in the room. The AC would make a loud banging noise. The bed is not comfortable at all. You have to use your key to use the elevator but unfortunately people would just hop on the elevator and wait for someone to put their key in. Therefore making it awkward for actual guest of the hotel. I am not sure what the solution is Maybe wrist bands for guests making it easier for staff to monitor. Bring your own water and snacks. The drinks and snacks are crazy expensive . Water was $9, Diet Coke $7 snicker bar $9. Like The staff at the desk and parking is very welcoming and helpful.
- 1/5
We were very disappointed in the condition of the hotel as far as cleanliness and prices for the snack area, which was our only choice to eat out of unless we wanted to pay $27 a person for buffet, which was absolutely ridiculous. Also, we were told that our valet Was going to be cheaper than what it was and that ended up costing us $150 for one car for a two night stay. We should be getting money back on that or get comped because we were told wrong when I called in a few days before arriving to confirm everything. Once I discuss this with the person at the reservation desk he told me to talk to the valet people. I spoke to the valet people and they said that Their prices are based on the number of people that are staying at the hotel. And that should have nothing to do with a standard right price based on what I was told it would be for the night we stayed.

Our battery on the door lock died and the maintainence had to help us essentially break into our room to get back in. I’d expect them to monitor the batteries more often to avoid situations like this. WiFi required you to sign up for a Hilton Honors account, and the speed was not useful unless I paid more. It’s bogus that in 2025 we have to settle for this. The area around the hotel is not great, it’s off of 6th street which is nice but during the day there’s lots of homeless nearby, we watched someone buy meth about a block from the hotel.
- 1/5
Overpriced and dirty
- 5/5
Very friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful facility. Our room was lovely, very comfortable and quiet.
- 1/5
The pool is gross - cigarettes and trash floating. There was human feces out front. Do NOT stay here!
- 3/5
Good location to stay for a concert at moody center. Didn't like that there wasn't any public parking, only valet for $79.
- 5/5
Very Quiet, Clean and Friendly
- 2/5
Will never be back here
- 5/5
Great hotel! Close to everything, clean and convenient.
- 5/5
Great customer service. And the rooms were clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend staying
- 2/5
Fitness center severely lacking and smelled musty.
- 5/5
Too much construction in area.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great all around
- 5/5
Location was good.
- 4/5
I did not like that not breakfast or a snack was offer
- 2/5
$69 for Valet parking. Plus tip. Absolutely ridiculous.
- 1/5
Nothing.
- 3/5
Overpriced for an outdated room. Bathroom doesn’t feel clean and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Parking not included and is ridiculously priced with valet being the only option.
- 5/5
Everything was good. everyone so helpful.
- 4/5
Valet service is expensive. Parking downtown sucks
- 1/5
The experience from the moment we got to the front desk was horrible. The older woman working the front desk has a problem with dogs however they are pet friendly hotel. The maid cart walked up behind startling my dog and he barked. She told he’s not going to be able to stay here. I said the cart startled him dogs bark. It put such a damper on my weekend after dealing with her that we left Friday morning and decided not to return to this hotel.

Great spot
- 5/5
The Staff were exceptional.
- 5/5
Air conditioning wasn't working properly. Other than that it was 5 star.
- 5/5
Everything great
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
It’s was exactly what I expected and close to everywhere I needed to go.
- 5/5
Front desk and valet workers were very helpful.
- 2/5
Staff did not know the area to support questions for dining or shopping. The site may not look to dated, but the room was not clean.
- 3/5
Restroom was clogged when we arrived and we were too tired to ask to get it fixed. Other than that it was fine.
- 5/5
The rooms are always very clean and all the staff are friendly.
- 2/5
There is ZERO parking availability and they require you to valet. Valet charges $69, but when you electronically pay the bill as they instruct, it charges $79. I was charged a complete fee from the hotel AFTER already being charged from hotels.com. They said they would get someone to reverse the charge and that person never made any call while we were there. So now I’m forced to contact my bank on Monday morning to see what can be done. This hotel completely ruined my overnight vacation!
- 1/5
It’s time to update this property. I was hit for more than $400 for the room during South x Southwest. The first room had no heat. The manager came and assigned me a second room and turned the heat to 89. Naturally this room turned into the desert. I took a shower and the shower head had a defective seal and water flooded the bathroom. I absolutely would have left if it wasn’t midnight when this all happened.
- 1/5
I'll never use Expedia in the future; nor will advise to others.
- 5/5
But...we didn't realize that same weekend (Sunday, check-out day) there was a Marathon going on. I wish check out staff had warned us before we left the hotel. Road blocks everywhere. It took us 2 1/2 hours to get out into the Interstate. It is ridiculous how many road blocks we encountered. Marathon Hosts need to figure out a better plan for these runners. They aren't the only ones contributing to the Austin economy.
- 4/5
Batallamos con que nos hicieran el servicio de la habitación, no teníamos contemplado que no tenían estacionamiento y que era exclusivo de valet
- 1/5
Flushed toilet and ended up not flushing and just overfilling. Called maintenance and they “fixed it” they claim. Come later at night time just to flush it again and it flooded the hotel room leading to the vanity and getting on carpet of room. Inconvenience was I had a bunch of stuff and had to more rooms because they couldn’t find one on the same floor so I had to re pack and move this all at 10p on Valentine’s Day. It was just such an inconvenience and for them to not check their work at the time they had fixed it. Could’ve all been prevented by Hilton
- 3/5
Room temperature was Not working properly
- 2/5
Not the best. Hotel was clean and staff friendly but the Noise level from outside was horrible and you have to pay for parking
- 2/5
All individuals staying there mentioned how unsafe they felt and that the hotel rooms were below average.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown. The reps at the lobby were very helpful with my check-in, and provided all the information I needed for my 1-night stay. They also provided helpful information about getting around Austin and visiting interesting sites. The room was clean and well-kept. I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. The front desk staff should be commended for their valuable assistance.
- 5/5
Had a good stay.
- 1/5
Arrived late, after midnight. The night staff was rebooting and had difficulty with checkin after reboot. Our booked room had been given to someone else so issue with keys and found someone in our room. Parking fee was not disclosed upon check-in which made for some surprising costs. Toilet didn’t flush, carpet was smelly. Overall, would not recommend for the price
- 3/5
Standard. Expensive
- 4/5
Everyone was really kind! There were homeless people in the parking garage. But the valet took very good care of our vehicle. Our room could have been a lot cleaner. Actually, I had noticed dried blood on the lock of the door and there was blood on our shower curtain. And you could tell our room hadn’t been dusted or vacuumed under the bed. But the staff really is awesome.
- 5/5
We stay here every time we come to Austin & love it! It’s the perfect location to go to 6th street & they have us free valet parking this time for being a Hilton member!
- 5/5
The staff were amazing! The location was really in a convenient area where things were close to.
- 3/5
Plus I left my cell phone charger and called the same day and it wasn’t reported at lost & found so I wouldn’t have recomend this hotel
- 3/5
We were disappointed that our room had no window to the outdoors. Also, the HVAC was very loud. No toilet seat was kind of a nuisance in a small bathroom. No ice on our floor. Also, the sink drained slowly and we saw little bugs in it! The location was convenient - walkable to the capital, 6th Street comedy and music clubs, the park by the river. Beds and pillows were very comfortable! Staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
The hotel room was very small and limited seating options. It was walls and a bed.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 4/5
Clean and utilitarian. Room was well kept and felt comfortable, but I don’t personally care as much for the enclosed courtyard with balcony hallways style as much. Lobby getting a bit shabby. Car dropoff area is very well sheltered and pretty easily reachable by rideshare vehicles.
- 2/5
Unsafe. No efforts to meet customers needs.
- 4/5
Expensive, but nice stay
- 5/5
It nice place to stay
- 5/5
Staff was great and accommodating. Walkable to/from 6th street
- 3/5
The staff were professional but the restrooms were not well kept. The towel rack was loose on the wall of the shower. The room phone didnt work it just had a dail tone.
- 5/5
Great Customer service they make sure I got my bathroom with a tub. when I left something in the room they let me back in my room ,great experience
- 2/5
I barely slept at all the first night due to being in a room that faced the bars/restaurants. I was able to get my room switched the next day but had to rush back (and miss part of a conference I was attending) to do it by noon or was told I would not be able to do it at all. The new room was quieter and clean but smelled awful -- seemed like it was the mustiness of the bathroom due to a lack of fan. Also the hallways were very dim, and the signage wasn't great to direct you to elevators, etc. Ended up feeling a bit creepy and isolated.
- 4/5
Smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night.
- 3/5
It was ok. Clean enough. Tiny pillows on a big bed. Dark hallways. Tiny pool - more like a puddle. Overall I think overpriced. This is a $200 a night place inclusive of taxes. $65 (invlusive of taxes for parking is crazy too!) $45 is enough.
- 4/5
The elevators seem sketchy. Only two of four were working. Consistent Hilton quality of room and amenities, staff great. A couple times on elevator people actually voiced their fearful feelings. Otherwise, property was great.
- 5/5
Great staff! Special thanks to Sami you were wonderful!
- 3/5
It felt cheap for a Hilton but we were not in the room much anyways.
- 1/5
Horrible check in. Reservations were not completed by Hotels.com. Then the Hilton agent didn’t even offer a room. I had to ask if any rooms were available. Then the valet Thomas, adds a second day to my parking after returning for the night. First and last time with Hotels.com and Hilton Gardens.
- 4/5
It was a quiet hotel, clean and very convenient to many local restaurants and bars. However, my least favorite thing was size of pool.
- 4/5
Too far away from the heart of downtown. No glasses in the room and no complimentary water.
- 4/5
Clean room but the hotel and rooms lighting is dark.
