Decent stay near stadium and Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor. A bit old, but served its purpose perfectly for the price. No breakfast. Right next to highway.

Location is close to sports area & the staff are nice. We only stayed for 2 nights - upon arrival the room had a musty smell but was not dirty. Decent hotel if you are in town for a game & need a place to sleep.

Great location, safe, convenient parking, excellent customer service, will definitely stay here again.

This is a much older hotel, and it is definitely nothing fancy, but it is perfect when going to a concert or event. Great price. Clean. Coffee in the lobby in the mornings is very good. It served the purpose we needed it to serve for this trip very well.

This property is a gem located right near Six Flags, AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Texas Live! It's off I-30 and makes it easy to get around DFW. The hotel has retro vibes but in great condition. There is a free trolley that goes to the Texas Rangers games. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel for a reasonable stay.

Hotel is older but it is not as bad as some of the reviews say. For the price you're paying and the location it is very convenient. I've never had an issue staying here and I've stayed here for the last decade.

nice location. parking area seemed small but I found a spot. I noticed it got packed at night. shuttle to stadium was on time. exercise room was limited but the 3 machines were new. no breakfast - that is 'no bueno'. the coffee in the morning was a 2 star. price was fair what what one gets.

Access and location was wonderful. Convenient locations to food and entertainment. The water of the pool was very clean & the area of the pool was very nicely maintained. First arrived and the staff was pleasant and helpful, later new staff had a horrible attitude, was rude and felt like I had inconvenienced her.

Our stay was unexpectedly extended and the front desk clerks were very helpful in adjusting our stay and we even qualified for a refund. There's plenty of parking. The hotel is extremely close to Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor water park and both Rangers and Cowboys stadiums. I would definitely recommend Howard Johnson for an inexpensive option.

Older hotel….could use some care. It is a twenty minute easy walk to globe life field. Hotel sits alone near the highway so not much nearby restaurants, shopping etc. if your just in town for a game and don’t mind the walk to avoid the heavy traffic and parking, it will work.

No grill by the pool and we were not allowed to use our own small portable grill.

I thought the location was excellent. Close to 6 flags, and both the baseball and football stadiums. Plenty of affordable restaurants near it’s location I thought everything was great . The staff was friendly, and rooms were clean . Zero complaints

We enjoyed our stay at the HJ while attending a Rangers game one evening and going to six flags the next day. Walked to both. Not a short walk, but if you are looking to save on parking this is a good spot.

I booked because it had a patio Upon checking in(2 am) I was told by staff if I wanted to extend my stay and let them know by 11 am. I went down at 10 am to extend and was told since I booked thru a 3rd party she couldn't extend and advised I called the 3rd party, as she would need to make a new reservation and charge me another deposit. I called the 3rd party, got my stay extended and all was good.( So I thought) The front desk called up to the room said I needed to check out since I didn't extend. I was just getting in the shower and she demanded that I came down to settle this. She told me she was confused because 3rd party don't usually extend and not sure why they did this time???(HuH??) I paid a certain amount the first night with a deposit and that price was honored for 2 remaining days I added. I'm holding in hand email confirmation with a total. Adding a $50 deposit to that total is what I should have paid in all. I went back n forth with the lady and added and added the amount charged plus deposit. She wanted me to pay more money than the 3rd party charged me. I asked if she was charging tax on my deposit because you shouldn't charge tax on a deposit. After a while the manager comes waltzing in with his " I didn't wanna come to work " attitude. He said this is the amount I need. I tried to tell him it doesn't add up and he said he refuses to rent to me anymore without hearing me out or looking at the details.He then proceeded to let me know he tells me what to pay not me tell him.He then gave me 15 min to get out. Geoff Ballotti...Wyndham Hotels and Resorts...or whomever runs the Howard Johnson .Hotel in Arlington, TX.....THIS IS WHO YOU HIRED TO MANAGE YOUR HOTEL. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED!! As the manager he could've adjusted the price difference but chose to uproar instead. It could've gone worse,but I was the bigger person, thanked him and walked away. Checked out 15 min later. This was only a difference of about $5.

Property was close to 6 flags. Free parking on site. Thought our booking included free continental breakfast but we're told on check in there was none. We were given a room overlooking the pool which was fine. However pool was supposed to close at 10. There were several people partying around the pool (drinking and smoking weed) which woke us up around 2am when they broke a glass bottle. My husband asked the desk guy to address the issue because it was loud and made our whole room reek. We had to turn our AC off. He asked what he was supposed to do about it. All this to say I think we could have found a clean room and dealt with the same BS for less.

Our room had a weird electrical issues like the lights would be dim and flickering then suddenly be really bright. Other than that, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. I have no other complaints. We were just a little worried about that.

We had an enjoyable stay as it was very convenient to Globe Life Field. The trolley to and from the concert was very convenient and affordable. Our room was clean and comfortable. It is an older hotel so a little dated but it definitely met our needs. I will stay there again if attending anything again at GLF.

The reason I even chose a Howard Johnson was strictly because of the location. We were going to a concert at Globe Life Park, and it was possible to walk to the concert from the hotel, which is exactly why I chose it.

I stayed for business. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were clean and upgraded nicely for the price. I would stay again. The only thing is there was no breakfast.

We stay here every year for our annual Texas Ranger game trip. Rooms are nice and conveniently located.

Checking in online was pointless. Since I filled out the forms, gave a copy of my license plus my cc info it said all id have to do is grab my room key n go. I did not work that way at all. I still spent 10 minutes filling out the same exact forms all over again. That was frustrating since we were rushing to a game. Other than that a great stay as usual.

I was surprised at how comfortable the pillows and beds were. Most of the time whenever I go to any hotel I can’t sleep because the bed and pillows are trash, NOT HERE! I slept like a baby and that rarely happens. The staff was amazing, helpful and flexible.

Everything was ok except the Expedia app said breakfast was included. It was not. I’d probably stay again. At least I’d know what to expect!

However, the rest of the area around the hotel leaves a bit to be desired, just due to location. If you plan on visiting Dallas, there is no public transportation and Ubers/cabs to the city are very expensive. But that’s not the hotel’s fault. Would stay here again if I was attending an event at either stadium.

Location was excellent to our concert at Globe Life Field. Only a 20 min. walk. Property felt super safe and the room was clean and comfortable. My only gripe is that I was charged $1 a week after our stay by the hotel with no explination. While it is only $1, I feel that If someone is doing this for every guest, then someone is making some $$$ as a side scam.

The bed was average, nothing specific but not bad. Traffic nearby was loud.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. There needs to be some type of food option available! No restaurants on site, not even a small continental breakfast. The only restaurant within walking distance is an Argentinian steak house and no convenience stores. A good business practice would be to at least have some type of vending machine or “grab and go”selection. I would not choose this hotel again based on this alone.

I had to ask for them to clean my room after 3 days of my stay, the staffs were okay. The nearest mall was like 15 minutes driving

I arrived late just to spend the night, so I didn’t use any of the amenities of the hotel. But the room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfortable, A/C worked well. No complaints!

At check in, my room rate was different than what I booked it for with booking. When I asked about it, the front desk lady just stated that was the rate for my night. I asked for an itemized receipt so I could see where the charge was coming from. She told me she couldn't do that until I checked out. When I checked out, I got my receipt and found that I was charged for having a safe in my room that I didn't even use and during my online check in, I opted out of that extra feature. I know it was only $1.50, but I don't think it's right that I was charged for something I had opted out of at check in. Also, my truck was involved in a hit and run while it was in the parking lot that night. Apparently someone called the cops and instead of calling me down stairs to speak with the cop, they just gave me the cops business card AFTER I had discovered my truck. When asking the receptionist if they had cameras, she first just said "here is the card we were told to give you". Then I asked again and was told yes they had cameras. I asked if the cop got the video and was told yes then proceeded to tell me to use the card because they were not on duty when the cop came in. I asked how she knew the cop got the video and she stated she didn't, but was told to give me the card and that was all she could help me with. I understand there was nothing they could do about my vehicle being hit, but they could have called me downstairs when the cop came in. They knew who the vehicle was registered too and what room # I was in, there was no excuse for not calling me when it happened.

I liked the pricing of the hotel because of the length of time i stayed there. There was a dead cockroach in my room when i checked in. Everyday i was there, the house keepers did not clean it up and left it there during my time there. There was also a spider in the bathroom.

Very close to the venue we attended Outdated. Room was not ready when we arrived. We had to go back downstairs to get sheets. Only minor issues but overall it served our purpose.

On our last morning, the time had just changed for daylight savings, and it caused us to wake up later than expected. My daughters and I were in the room freshening up and gathering our belongings so we could leave. While we were doing that, a hotel employee came to our door banging loudly and asked if we planned to stay another night. I told him no and explained that we were getting ready to leave. Shortly after that, the manager called the room asking the same thing and telling us it was time to get out. I explained that I had already told the employee we were on our way out and were in the middle of getting our things together. The manager was very rude and kept saying we needed to be out by 11:45, even though we had already told them we were leaving. It felt like we were being rushed out unnecessarily, especially considering the time change that morning. When I went downstairs to speak with the manager, I explained that I didn’t appreciate how we were being rushed and treated. Unfortunately, she still had a bad attitude and refused to return my deposit because she claimed we were late leaving the room. To make matters worse, the hotel also advertised breakfast, but the only thing available was coffee. Overall, the customer service was poor

When I booked the room it said free breakfast, but after checking in the clerk tells me there is no free breakfast because I booked through a third party (Expedia), They need to honor what they advertise.

We ended up leaving a different hotel, mid-stay, and luckily this one had a room left. What a breath of fresh air! The staff was so welcoming, the property was in excellent shape and the bed was SO comfy! Highly recommend.

The hotel is dated and truly provides the bare minimum. I requested a crib through the booking website, with no indication of an extra charge. It was a clean hotel and good housekeeping. It is out dated and old. The equipment in the gym is very old and the wifi is mid level, you do have to login each day. I will say it is conveniently located around restaurants and grocery stores.

There was bugs in my room specifically kissing bugs which carry deadly diseases, we have two kids a 8 month old and a 2 year old we didn't want to risk. We told staff they didn't seem to care they did not want to give a refund and was hard to move rooms. Afterwards she would just give attitude. Rude service for just wanting to keep my family safe.

I got the room for somebody else that they would not allow to stay there. They had no solutions other that me contact Hotels.com. I could have sent my license whatever to verify identity or whatever, but they refused. I stayed here long ago and it is a dump so weird they acted like the Ritz Carlton.

The room was ok, clean, plenty of towels - the outlets in the lamps don't properly hold your bricks so it makes it hard to charge your phones and other items. Didn.t have breakfast so I can't comment on that.

The elevator now that thing is so scary, it needs to be looked at. It clunked, lurched and jumped. We thought we were going to get stuck, so we took the stairs. Won't stay again.

I rate the property with a 1 star for the following reasons. 1) This propriety is very old (ancient). The lobby has an extremely strong odor of an air freshener aerosol that I assume is used to mask stale odors. 2)This property has a no smoking in the room rule, however my wife I were given a room that totally reeked of old cigarette smoke. Not acceptable. We were given another room. 3) The 2nd room clearly reflected the age. Old dingy curtains, the sliding doors to the balcony were unlocked. Windows dirty and stained. Both, an indication of infrequent thorough cleaning. The room has very old carpet and furniture. The armchair cloth upholstery had many stains and heavy scratch marks on the wood arm rests. The bathroom is tiny with outdated plumbing and tile. Although we use our own hair products and soap. This hotel only provided one tiny tube of shampoo. Most decent hotels provide shampoo, conditioner and lotions. 4) This hotel i located on the edge of I-35. The noise from the nonstop traffic, made it very difficult to get a good night's rest. 5) No breakfast. All they provided was two portable coffee thermoses for guest to get coffee from if they chose to. Clearly, we preferred coffee from elsewhere. In summary, this hotel is far overpriced for what little it offers.

Was in town for a Cowboys game. It was close enorgullece to walk to the stadium and I could see AT&T stadium from my window. Everything was great. I think there needs to be a breakfast option. Was disappointed that there was nothing. Bathroom was a little small. Everything else was great. Was clean.

Was in town for a Cowboys game. It was close enorgullece to walk to the stadium and I could see AT&T stadium from my window. Everything was great. I think there needs to be a breakfast option. Was disappointed that there was nothing. Bathroom was a little small. Everything else was great. Was clean.

The bathroom was clean, the room got cold enough for us to sleep (we like it very chilly in the room), the staff was friendly, and the hotel smelled and appeared clean. Unfortunately, the bed and pillows themselves were uncomfortable, and when asked where we could get food within walking distance, the only option we were told about was Denny's (we found other options). Our reservations said that we would get a complimentary breakfast, and the hotel was set up to look like it would be served, but nothing was provided except very tiny cups of coffee.

The rooms and hotel in general are in desperate need of a renovation. Everything was in a state of disrepair with a horrible heavy fragrance used to disguise smells. You get what you pay for I guess. On a side note, beds and pillows were fairly comfy

Convenient to the Stadium but there was absolutely no restaurants close, within walking distance.

Old property but clean. No breakfast only coffee. Came for Chiefs /Cowboy game. It’s worth the money. Left HJ to stay closer to Stadium Motel 6, bad choice. I wish I could have stayed at HJ instead. Way more better. Will go back to HJ!

We’ve stay in several Hotels and they always have BREAKFAST, it’s very inconvenient to stay in a Hotel and not even to be served BREAKFAST!☹️

My husband and I stayed here when we went to the Cowboy game, it was super close and easy to walk to after the game. The room was comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again. The staff was really awesome and friendly.

Te room was very clean; Kudos to the cleaning staff. The addition of a balcony was nice but not much for scenery. The lobby was set for a complimenty breakfast to which wasn't offered. However, coffee was offered 24/7 but wasn't well kept.

My only complaint is that there was no breakfast options.

We selected this hotel because it was close to Globe Life Field for the evening ball game. We arrived at 3:00 p.m. sharp to check in only to find out that their system was down and no one could get access to their rooms. An hour later they finally began to check people in meanwhile the gates had already opened a Globe Life Field. Our check-in request for two extra pillows that we filled out online in our pre check in was not followed so we had to wait additional time to get those pillows and take them to our room ourself. The balcony door would not open, so we called the front desk to ask for maintenance. We were told that maintenance was not available and that there was nothing they would do to accommodate us. We asked to speak to the manager, we were told the manager was not available. We asked for the managers name in order to reference it and for what time he or she would be available. We were told by the receptionist that she was not able to give us the manager's name, nor would she be able to tell us what time the next morning he would be on duty. She then placed us on a very long hold we finally wound up hanging up and recalling the front desk this time recording the conversation and making her aware of it as well. She once again said she could not tell us the manager's name nor when he worked nor would she even provide us with her own name. This was beyond suspicious and made us feel very unsafe. We reached out to Expedia, and they said they would flag the hotel.

Given that the service promised was not honored, I am requesting a full refund for my stay. I hope the hotel addresses this issue promptly so that future guests do not have the same experience.

The actual facility has been around for decades, but I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the property inside. I was on the fourth floor. Carpet in the hallway appeared relatively new and the paint was fresh. Found the same to be true in my room. The picture in the Expedia description was an accurate depiction of the room. Wouldn't think twice about staying there again. For the rate of $60, it was really a bargain.

Room was good and bed was comfortable. Only problem we had was our room was right next door to the elevator so each time it went up and down we could hear it. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff as always. We will definitely stay here again next time we have an event to go to in this area.

Property is freshly updated, reasonably priced for the area and very close (walkable) to both the football and baseball parks. However there’s a free trolley that shuttles right at the entrance of hotel as well as a hotel shuttle for a small fee.

Unfortunately we had the room next to the elevator snd the freeway so it was hard to sleep. We either heard the elevator or the cars/trucks. The staff were friendly and plenty of parking. Also convenient access for traveling to different areas.

Great place to stay for a ballgame or trip to Six Flags. Rooms have been updated and are nice. Staff is excellent. There isn’t much in the way of amenities, but it’s affordable, clean, and is exactly what you want. Has microwave, coffee machine, and fridge in the room. I’ve been here before and would definitely go back.

It would have been nice to know the pool wasn’t filled an we wouldn’t be anble to use it all weekend. Also the smoke alarm went off for 45 mins one night at midnight with no information from staff.

Fire alarm went off at midnight and no one at desk to answer questions so we all had to traipse dow the stairs. Fire trucks were not called

The staff here was very friendly and accommodating for me after a flight delay forced me to change my booking plans. The room was clean and the bed was nice. The hotel was in close proximity of Globe Life Field and Six Flags, which worked out perfectly since I was there for both of those places. However, the hotel lacks any kind of room service, which I was not aware of beforehand. The elevator was in very rough condition, with cracks on the tiles and a lot of noise going up and down. If you're traveling into Arlington for Globe Life Field and/or Six Flags, this is a decent hotel that's close by.

Small, no areas for families to just hangout. Front desk was not polite and basically had to pre check in and then do the same check in.

Room had been recently sprayed. I was unable to fall asleep, had chest pains from the chemicals I was inhaling. The bed sheets were itchy. The elevator on the other side of the wall was noisy, as was the freeway traffic. At 3 am I asked to transfer rooms and the front desk was understanding, otherwise I would've had to sleep in my car. Also, the pool was out of service.

The hotel receptionist was so nice, answering so many questions with such a warm smile. She was very helpful and quite knowledgeable about the entire area, many thanks.

The price was great. The hotel was very clean while there were minor issues they took really good care of the hotel over all. The beds were comfortable also.

Perfect location for our needs. We were able to get to Six Flags and Globe Life Field within minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel if that is where you need to be:)

Property is very outdated. Nothing like the photos online. Carpets were soaking wet, and the rooms have moldy smells. The rooms cleanliness were ok. There was left over food under the microwave in our room. My family and I asked to be moved to a different room, and the attendant was noticeably annoyed, but helped us get settled in another room. Which was better, the second room we were placed in still had damp carpets but the air wasn’t so tight (referring to the moldy smell).

The staff were very accomodating but finding cockroaches in my room soured my experience.

Unbearable mildew smell and black mold around the electrical outlets behind the nightstand. Asked to changed rooms was moved into a better room but still found a cockroach in the second room crawling on the bed.

This area is interesting to say the least. Homeless camps right next door and sketchy people walking the streets. Our bathroom floor was sticky and you could see our shoe prints. Otherwise it is very average.

The price.is affordable but their pool was out of service, iron didnt work, bathroom door would not close in room 306. We rented 2 rooms adjacent to each other. The refrigerator was not cold, tv had cracked lines vertically when warching tv. The bathrooms are super small. I did like the patio outside of each room. I liked thr view we had and it was close to all the theme parks and Globe life center. There is a trolley service which is great.

I didn't like being so close to the interstate. I could hear all the sounds of traffic.
