My Place in Amarillo is a great place to stay. I always choose it when I am in Amarillo, and have stayed there multiple times over the last five years. The staff is friendly and professional and always tries to accommodate my requests. It is clean, convenient, and safe. The rooms are comfortable, and the kitchenette, with full size refrigerator (with ice maker) and stovetop, plus microwave and sink is great for eating-in. My little dog is welcome and enjoys walking in the lush grass landscaping—which is clean and well-maintained. The area is quiet and easily accessed.

The kitchenette needs more lighting. With every light on in the room, it was still dark in that area.

For the price this hotel had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The refrigerator, full sized coffee pot, and microwave were a plus. Bath towels were soft and plentiful. Breakfast not included, $7.00.

Wonderful room

Our go to stop when passing through Amarillo, 8-10 times a year. Nice new hotel. Insulated enough to drown out the highway and upstairs noises. Always a pleasure to see and visit with Susan at the front desk!!

Clean, comfortable and a good deal. Great location and a variety of restaurants in walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room well equipped and laundry room available. It is a first choice whenever in the area. There was a recliner in the room with the leather peeling off.

VERY affordable! Friendly staff!! Had very early wake up by extremely loud dumpster service outside our window. Don’t think that is something the hotel can control though… maybe don’t book the rooms right above the dumpsters on the nights before service? If avoidable?

My son stayed there with his handicapped wife, they were treated nicely. I will recommend this place to others . Thank you 😊

i booked the stay about two weeks early and asked for a playpen to be put in the room with us. when arrived, the front desk man said they gave it away to someone else already. After asking why they would do that, the man said they only had one, he wasn’t even there earlier and hung up as i was talking. the carpet was dirty, it made my sons feet black and the bottom of our crocs black as well. the microwave in our room 404 did not function either. would not recommend staying here with kids.

Breakfast not included. There’s a stove but no pots and pans to be used.

My prepaid handicap room was given to someone else who arrived before I did. Staff did not properly check valid ID against reservation & CC address. Somehow individual was informed room was already paid and they claimed to be me. I arrived later that evening and was informed I did not have a reservation and upon showing details or paid invoice/confirmation was told by that someone with my name had already checked in and I would need to fully pay again if I wished to stay but room was not a handicap version. Was assured manager on day staff would resolve issue. Manager did acknowledge someone stole my paid reservation and stated I was going to be refunded on both my charges. Nothing has been resolved nearly 2 weeks later and I have attempted to have staff provide an update. This was a case of both identity + credit fraud for me and theft of services for the hotel.

We always stay here while traveling between NM and Dallas - this time was so disappointing because they put us in a room that backed up to the elevator. We didn’t realize we would hear it all night until we were in bed and turned off the tv. ALL NIGHT!!! It was terrible!

No cooking utensils or pots and pans but we were not cooking so no problem.

The room was as expected: spartan, basic. the shower was good: step in with dispensers for soap and shampoo. The hotel has no ice machine. One must turn on the ice maker in the room's fridge to get ice (the next morning). The bed was too soft (Not usually a problem for us) and there was no mattress cover, just a sheet over the mattress. Check in was easy and quick.

This hotel is perfect! It is close to the hospital) which is why we were there) and easy to get to. It has a full size refrigerator which is important when staying for any length of time. Beds are comfortable and we just enjoy staying at My Place when we are in town.

I could hear the doors slamming shut all rough the day and night. I'm glad my room was on the end.

Kitchen is fine, but you have to ask for all cooking items. Room was clean and functional. Staff was ok, but i kept having to redo my keys. Parking is fine. No frills.

Fine, good not great. It served my needs for a night passing through on a long drive. Kitchen didn’t have a single dish which was annoying, as I couldn’t heat up food that I had.

The hotel room was fine. No breakfast at this hotel, no pool, so that was annoying. The area around the hotel was not the greatest, but we had no safety issues with our visit. Overall, I will stay somewhere else that is more suited for a single-night stay in the future. This may be more for people needing to live longer term out of a hotel unit, not someone traveling through.

This is my third time staying at My Place. The staff is great. Very friendly and professional. I love the full size fridge and recliner in my room. Very convenient location as well. I am having a hard time thinking of something.

This is our second time staying here and once again it was a great stay! The room & bathroom were very clean. Even without breakfast being offered I still think this place is such a wonderful place. We were traveling with our kids and I felt safe & comfortable being here with my family. The staff is kind and really helpful.

Big sign in the lobby said "complimentary bottle of water" fact was no water. Arrived after 11PM, got put in a room next to kids who started screening and bouncing off the walls before 7AM. Staff didn't stock paper towels in the lobby and the place overall was dirty. Never stay here.

Thoroughly impressed. Not a bunch of frills I don’t use but still a clean quiet place to stop for the night towing a trailer and with two dogs. The room was fine. The bed comfortable and the bathroom clean. When I want all the extras I know where to go. When I just need a bed and a clean facility My Place will get my business for sure.

Comfy beds, nice blanket and room was very clean! This is a pet friendly hotel, it was quiet and folks were very respectful. Also, again very clean, loved the mini kitchen area, full fridge, coffee maker, and table for two. We stayed each weekend we passed thru Amarillo. Great cost per night too. Def recommend!

Very unsafe. Anyone can walk in and get on the elevator without a key or access code giving them access to all rooms. There were leftovers from the previous occupants still in the refrigerator and hair in the shower. The thermostat was very loud when the heat kicked on waking us up about every 30-45 minutes.

We always stay in this hotel when we're staying in Amarillo. The staff is always nice and helpful. The rooms are clean. The price is good. Our only problem was the heater in room #217 was extremely hot. Even after having it turned down & then completely off, the room stayed hot. Made for a restless night.It was a little noisy from the person above us.

Though a bit outdated, the most important part of our stay was at this hotel - a quiet and very clean room to sleep well with a clean comfortable bed, plenty of towels in shower. We didn't need/use kitchen but it was nice to see a 2-burner electric stove and full-size fridge. Ice maker was a little noisy while ice landed on empty tray in freezer but understandable. Ample parking and safe area. No breakfast but 24-hr coffee available in lobby.

Room average. This place gets a “wonderful” Rating …..? Stayed in a Holiday Inn Express yesterday with a “very good” rating yesterday. ZERO PET FEE AND A FREE BREAKFAST. This place is underwhelming and the surcharge for a pet is wrong. Wouldn’t have stayed here had I known! I can see a Holiday Inn Express over the parking lot from my (dirty) hotel window ! Underwhelmed. ticked off about the $40 “pet fee”. Manager even acknowledged “oh yeah, we get that comment a lot”. That’s just ripping people off. That’s theft. That’s bad. I will give an “average” rating and not “poor” because the facility if ok. But stealing $40 from me is not good.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. It looks value, but I had a great stay. Slept great, lots of room, full sized fridge and kitchenette, full-sized coffee pot. Convenient to lots of places, felt safe. Parking at all sides. The only thing that could have been better is the shower head was super low flow.

We have stayed twice now. It’s convenient to highway. The beds are comfortable and has a little kitchenette in the room.

Good price if you plan on getting breakfast else where, which we did.

My kids and I arrived late, about 8pm. We got into our room and I started a bath. They had been stuck in a car for 10 hours so they were excited and playing. I got them ready for bed while waiting for our dinner to arrive and was called by the front office saying people had called complaining. We had been there 30 MINUTES. Literally the sounds of getting settled. They told us they would move us if we didn’t quiet down. I explained all my kids are small and are going to probably make some noise before bed. The employee was super dismissive and rude with my answer. So apparently people can’t handle kids anymore so if you have any, don’t come here unless you want an aggressive employee calling you after you just arrived. Terrible service

The room climate was good, sometimes the fan tripped off for an unknown reason but it did reset fine.

The bed provided was squeaking alot to sleep. Rest all is OK.

Surrounded by other hotels so very safe and well-lit parking. Fast elevator. Didn’t know it was an extended stay when I booked but having a full refrigerator and freezer was great. Bed was super comfortable. King bed w recliner great for one person. They had a good selection of snacks in the lobby store and washing machines. I only stayed one night but apparently you can preorder breakfast which is delivered to your room the night before.

This 2 night stay met all our expectations. Clean, safe, excellent friendly service. Location is convenient to all restaurant genres, shopping is within minutes. My Place will be our go to lodging choice while visiting Amarillo.

A great place to stay. Easy ingress/egress to freeway but away from the noise. Comfortable rooms with mini-kitchen, including full size refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, and sink. Staff is great. I always choose My Place when going through Amarillo.

Was looking to stay for 1 night on the 8.23.25 Book the room right at midnight went to the hotel arrived at the hotel less than 20min when arrived was told it was for that night of the 24th told them need to sleep for a few hrs I knew I had to check out 11 am on 24th. However they were all book up so I ask them to cancel the room that when I was inform the app had book me for 2 nights for the 24th. I ask them to cancel both rooms. Had to go stay at a holiday in. So I called Hotels.com the next day on the 24th to get a refund. Was told they called the hotel it self they had to get it approved through manger. Called a few times later that week and then about the 3rd of not being able to get the manger of the hotel on the phone they told me I could not get a refund. So when I cancel the rooms they gave me a print out of the hotel cancellation showing the rooms were 61. When I book the room, I paid through hotels.com 105 for the room due to the glitch I got charge for 2 rooms. So I ask hotels.com if they would at least refund there portion of the charge they told me no since the hotel denied the refund… so after a few weeks of calling back and forth they denied me the refund even though I gave them enough notice of the cancellation!!! The thing most annoying is that they hotels.com rep was never able to get ahold of the property manger!!

Need a recliner to sleep in. All they had was double queens. Night staff Moved a recliner into the room for me. Excellent service room with super clean. My place is my kind of place.

I always choose this My Place Hotel when I am passing through Amarillo and have stayed here numerous times. The staff is really wonderful, and the rooms meet my needs very well. The location is very convenient to get me in and out easily.

We will definitely stay there again.

Love love love ! Definitely the best hotel in Amarillo Texas. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and have those thick quilted blankets and a second super soft furry blanket....slept like a baby. Had a full on kitchenette, 2 burner stove, full size fridge, kitchen sink. Bring your own food to cook. Staff was really nice and helpful. We highly recommend. Would stay here again.

Staff is great, the property is clean and maintained. The room has a nice kitchenette and bathroom. The mattress is a little firm for my liking, but otherwise good value.

I stopped at My Place Hotel in Amarillo for the night during a long road trip, and in a world where it often feels like true hospitality is a thing of the past, Susan at the front desk was a breath of fresh air. She greeted us with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine sense of care, even remembering my name and room number. That kind of personal attention is rare these days and made a big impression on us after a long day on the road. The next day, after we had already driven over an hour away, we realized my wife had accidentally left a necklace behind. We called the hotel, and Sherry went above and beyond... she personally located the necklace and arranged to have it mailed back to us. That level of service is something you just don’t see often anymore. A huge thank you to both Susan and Sherry for making our stay so positive. It wasn’t just a night at a hotel, it was a reminder that there are still people who care deeply about what they do.

On the road a lot and I always look for these locations!!

Our first room we were placed next to dogs who barked nonstop. Luckily we recognized early that room wasn’t going to work and the service attendant switched our rooms. He was very polite and understanding, which we appreciated. The room itself was comfortable. Good pillows and beds. It’s clean, too. They do not have ice machines, but instead they have ice makers in the room. This sounds handy, however, the ice machine in the room woke us up nonstop. To make matters worse, it barely produced enough ice cubes for 1 glass. Maybe we had bad luck at this hotel, but I won’t be staying again to find out.

Bed comfy and hotel was clean

Cleanliness aside… I was woken up at about 12:30AM by the people above me. CONSTANT banging/thumping/screaming/and running upstairs. It sounded like they were running up and down the room and moving furniture. The screaming was a mixture of adults and kids. This kept going for 30-45 min before I finally called the front desk. The front desk attendant said she would go check it out. She called me back a few minutes and confirmed she could also hear the noise, but wasn’t able to get ahold of them when she called the room. She said to call her back if it continued. Noise continued relentlessly - about - 15 min later I called again to say it was still going on. The front desk person said that she didn’t know what to do about the situation and would need to contact her management. She was very nice, but genuinely didn’t know/had t been trained what to do. The noise continued until almost 3AM. I was awoken by the same noise at 6AM and it lasted until I finally gave up and left at 10AM. Never resolved. I would recommend avoiding MyPlace.

The facilities were great! The kitchen with a full-size fridge was a plus.

Located in a good location. Did not serve breakfast.

The hotel does not have an ice maker and the ice maker in the freezer did not work. Tried to contact the front desk but attendant was not at the desk.

The lady working at the desk was friendly and very helpful, we did not stay at this location because it felt unsafe. There was a man outside that seemed to be high on drugs and maybe hallucinating. The only good thing about this location was the young lady working their front desk.

The room was clean and nicely supplied with the essentials. A good deal for an overnight freeway flyer.

I have no idea why/how this budget motel is rated so high. Old bland, no breakfast, loose dogs, smoking right outside the front door. Nothing worth anything.

The room had a good kitchen but did not come equipped with dishes, cutlery, pots, etc. they do not offer breakfast, only microwaveable items available for purchase. There are no breakfast restaurants within walking distance which was inconvenient. The room was mediocre - smaller than most suite hotels and the leatherette on the recliner was completely worn off. Overpriced for what was offered. Also found it odd that they put a temporary hold of $40 on my credit card in addition to the room fee.

Got room in 2 floors but elevator didn’t work so I asked if I could get a room in 1st floor and got it.

Susan on the front desk is the reason we keep coming back! she makes us welcome every time, she is always happy and helpful and such a lovely person. The hotel is great, very convenient for travelers heading north of Amerillo. Pets are welcome (very important), and there are plenty of dining options a short walk away.

Excellent one night layover for travel westbound. Had a kitchenette for extended lodging. Staff was efficient and polite. Area convenient and clean.

I loved the location for its nearby restaurants and its ease of access to I40 west. Staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, comfortable and had good amenities.

Our stay was wonderful. We checked in pretty late and they were so accommodating. The front desk person was incredibly kind & welcoming. She’d been working all day at another location and I could tell that she was tired, but that didn’t keep her from being kind & welcoming to our family. They had a baby bed which was perfect for our family. The room was clean & comfortable and perfect for our family.

Best budget hotel I have stayed in. It was clean, functional, conveniently located, and very reasonably priced. It is located with 4 or 5 other hotels, most more upscale. The My Place appeared very new.

I was surprised it is clean and did great for a night. I am with family for the hospital it is close by. Went ahead and got 2 more nights for while I am here

Had car troubles and stayed here while my car was at the shop. They were very helpful. Had to add a day and they made it super easy. Nice room, comfortable bed, full fridge with freezer, and a little cooktop. I would gladly stay here again.
