The Monterey Motel

Such a cute room! Beautifully decorated, beautiful pool area and close to historic district which was darling!

Nice clean rooms and was great for my family of four.

This property has been updated. It is first rate.

This is a destination-worthy stay. It has been lovingly updated and embodies a kind of desert chic! The cocktail lounge is worth going to all on its own. Our bartender clearly is passionate about his mixology, crafting his own syrups and making use of a smoker to create spectacular drinks. Half of the fun was watching him make them. We also enjoyed live music. Truly this place is an experience!

Our family travels a lot and we generally stay at 3/4 star places and this out did them all!

Welcoming and hospitable staff, comfortable room, great little cocktail bar (karaoke night during our Saturday night stay), close to old town. Highly recommended. Would def stay again!! All good. Nothing we didnt like.

The only problem we had was the limited parking due to an event at their sister property. Everything else was Great, I was so happy to see that some of the Route 66 motels have been restored. They reminded me of the places where my family stayed on vacation when I was a kid.

Comfortable, very clean and new, roomy, QUIET - owners must have invested in room sound proofing. Polite, helpful staff. Icing on this cake would be to have an in-room microwave.

Excellent location - within walking distance to Old Town. The room(s) were huge and very nice. Staff was great! My only suggestion is to have better coffee in the morning. What was available was very weak.

The pool was really nice. Our room had a huge balcony which we enjoyed. The hotel is within walking distance to Old Town The air conditioner took all night to cool the room.

Great renovation and very good maintenance. Clean, quiet welcoming. Even offered free drink and snack at bar! Plus within easy walk to old town and botanical gardens.
