Really enjoyed the stay but you asked..😊. King size pillows or more pillows (3), more than one trash can (one in main room), make sure soap dispensers work and are labeled clearly. That being said we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, historic original Route 66 landmark, since 1936. Elegantly maintained. A must see on the route. Located within 3-4 blocks of Old Albuquerque historic area. Awesome!!

What a great nostalgic place to visit

I would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a nice, vintage motel. It is well kept, our room was up to date and the property is quaint. Check in and out staff were friendly, the bartender was friendly and we appreciated the small food businesses in the courtyard. For being a downtown place next to a busy road, our room was very quiet. It was a little difficult to find electrical plugs for all the items we had, but its understandable considering the age of the place.

The rooms and decor were modern chic. The lodging is located conveniently next to Old Town. I was fortunate to enjoy the beautiful weather outdoors by sitting in the courtyard. However, there were quite a few shrieking children playing in the common area shared by the businesses.

Good location, room was nice. Would of been nice to have a small microwave to warm up leftovers.

We are doing Rte 66, so a retro motel sounded like fun. This place went above fun and brought it up to relaxing and comfortable. Nice courtyard with fountain, seating, outdoor dining and a seasonal pool. The thought and planning than went into the renovation shows as bright as the neon light of its namesake. Very affordable for what we got. It is located on a busy corner but it does quiet down by bedtime. We live in the country and don’t like city noise, but this didn’t bother us. This will be our go to place whenever we come back into Albuquerque.

Loved staying here. Such a cool property. Easy parking. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was so comfortable! Classic Route 66 hotel.

We were very pleased with our stay at the El Vado Motel. It has been very nicely refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the cold beer from the tap room is a nice plus. The motel is set up very nicely with a private interior courtyard with lots of seating and cute clean pool and is walking distance to old town.

We had a great stay at El Vado

Chelsea at reception was wonderful and sparkling! She went out of her way to accommodate us and was caring and friendly in her numerous interactions with my spouse and me. Food in the dining room was good but not great, though service was very good.

5 stars aren't enough for this place. We love the way the historic motor court has been renovated. The design choices, inside and out, are perfect. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed dining outside and the complimentary drinks in the tap room. Also, it's within walking distance of Old Town Albuquerque. Central Avenue makes a fun Route 66 drive.

For a room that costs this much, it was surprising that there was no such thing as a mini fridge or a microwave. These are standard these days in pretty much any hotel or motel a person stays in.
-
There was very limited parking and the toiletries were not stocked. Otherwise an enjoyable place.

Such a quaint historic hotel! Beautifully remodeled yet still holds the charm of the original hotel but with added amenities! Loved the courtyard and tap room. Lovely area to relax after a long day of traveling. Chef inspired restaurants are in the courtyard as well! Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time there.
