The breakfast was good. We got to choose out of a breakfast menu with a lot of options. Tea was included as well as refills for water. Even when we went on a sunrise tour and came back in the afternoon, they offered us our breakfast. The staff in the hostel and the restaurant were very friendly although didn’t speak a word of English. The room felt “unfinished”. Walls were not painted, cracks/holes in the wall separating our bathroom from our room and also the wall separating out bathroom from the one next to us. A poweroutlet hang loose from the wall. There was dust and spiderwebs in the room. There were stains on one of the sheets and the towels. There was no toilet paper. We know it’s not common everywhere in Asia but you would expect a hostel, that houses foreigners, would offer it. Heard the singing from the mosque as if they were singing right in front of our door in the early morning and middle of the night. The bed feels like you are sleeping on the wooden panel that’s underneath it (we put 2 mattresses on top of each other and still felt the panel). There were a lot of mosquitos in the room due to cracks in the door (luckily we had a mosquito net). We only slept good 1 of the 4 nights here. We know it’s cheap and we’re used to traveling on a budget and staying in hostels, but it doesn’t hurt to just dust off now and then. If we had known about the lac of sleep we got here, we would have booked somewhere else.

Staff were friendly. Very cheap. Room/bathroom was pretty dirty and smelly. Property is a mess (rubble and trash bags lying around, etc). Rooms need maintenance (sockets falling out of walls, lights missing bulbs, beds broken).

many locals were staying there, we were the only western people. very cheap, staff was friendly and organised us a driver for borbodur+Prambanan. about half an hour walk to Malioboro Street no sink (only showers and toilet), the room needed some maintenance, we had a big hole in one wall, not very clean

got a very affordable price for family and they were happy to be here since it's comfy and clean here

-
-Friendly staff -very clean -big dorm rooms with good A/C and lockers -good shower and toilet facilities Bad mattress in male dorms. Way too soft with no springs. Not the most social hostel in my experience.
