Windbreak Hotel

Bed was trash, so uncomfortable, internet/TV connection was trash

This is no-frills lodging. The room was clean but basic.

It was tiny. some light bulbs were out, Could not control the heat.To hot to and load to sleep.Not worth the over priced fee.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

We reserved a room with two beds that were advertised as available. I called before 4pm to say we were going to a little late. They did not say our room was not available until we got there. They said they had a room with ONE queen bed. WHAT!!! We change places to stay the night.

Being from the central time zone made the 7 am checkout feel late because we were up by 5 am. Plenty of area places to eat, don't feel like you need to eat on the premises, the food was, OK, but not great.

Parking was good safety good. Resturant was nice$$$.room had nothing but bed table one bedside table one small chair. Noting to keep cold or heat food. Bed was awful sunk in middle and bottom sheet had stain. Door had no double way to lock so kept suitcase in front

Great little place right in the middle of town. Cafe had good food. And the bar had great drinks.

Pleasant

This is a fun little hotel above a bar. Nothing fancy but cozy and comfortable. Highly recommend if you're in Wasilla for the night and open to an interesting place to stay.

Good food, staff is friendly and never a dull moment. The room 20 needs a new door and the heat was stuck on.

Cold, No staff at night, it smelled of cigarettes

The people were nice, but the place was gross. Stains on the carpet, holes in the walls, bar music could be heard late at night and early in the morning. Also, there is not check in counter, you check in at the bar, so you are walking past people eating at their tables with your luggage to check in. Would not recommend.

Amenities

I had no idea there wouldn't be someone to check me in late. You need to check in before 10pm or you will NOT be able to get to your room!! I missed my first night reservation, and had to find someone else to stay, but was early for the next day. The A/C in the room also didn't work well.

No one is there to check you in past 10pm. So arrive before they close or you won't be able to check in!! My room also didn't have towels, but they quickly got me some after I asked.

You guys need a microwave or at least small fridge, only hotel that doesn't have one of the other, not even a coffee pot even
