Taman Rahasia Tropical Sanctuary and Spa

Rooms were excellent, staff was understanding and very helpful.

If i have to think about it, i would prefer a shower that was more reliable with pressure...it was sometime a drip but it was upstairs so may be more difficult.

Loved our stay and will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Ubud! The place and people felt like home. It’s cozy, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Room and bathroom is spacious . Breakfast was amazing and fresh, in the communal area near the pool. We had a night swim and the flowers from the tree made it extra special, it’s also not that chlorinated. It’s near some very cool cafes and shops but the street isn’t too busy with motorists. Very local and relaxing! Would be great to have brighter lighting in the bathroom, and a wedge or something to avoid people tripping by the door on the step down to the bathroom

Many mosquitoes, no spray near toilet, the pool seems unclean

The proximity to downtown Ubud and the hotel gardens. No TV and limited breakfast options. Towels are old and no washcloths.

in a quieter neighbourhood than some of Ubud's tourist hotspots, Taman Rahasia offers extremely restful environs with a large spacious room, a lovely verandah to lounge; a tastefully designed open (yet private) bathing area and warm service. the breakfasts are sumptuous and filling.. there are a few great eateries around It's not really a dislike but a minor suggestion.. While the room is very cosy and inviting with warm lighting, a little brighter lighting option in the room may be nice - perhaps a large central lamp can be considered in addition to the multiple other lovely lamps already provided. just a thought.

Gorgeous spot, very quiet and tranquil but also close enough to the hassle and bustle of Ubud town centre. A little hidden gem. Staff also very kind and friendly. Delicious breakfast and overall accommodation great value for money

The property itself is beautiful and has a serene atmosphere, especially during the day. It’s surrounded by greenery, and the room was spacious and aesthetically done. I was genuinely excited to stay here and had even planned to return with a friend. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a breach of trust. Some food items I had purchased for my family were taken from my room—specifically a sealed box of chocolates and a pack of gum, both opened and partially taken. As a solo traveller, I didn't feel comfortable escalating it directly in person, so I addressed it discreetly, but I never received any follow-up or confirmation that action would be taken. This, combined with some unsettling interactions, left me feeling disappointed and a little unsafe. The lack of closure or accountability was what ultimately shifted my view of the place.

It's such a beautiful place, a sanctuary, loved my large gorgeous room, with terrace and view to lush garden, amazing bathroom, beautifully furnished, everywhere attention to detail. I only had juice and fruit for breakfast, which was delicious, but can't comment on the rest. Highly recommend.

The room was beautiful, well furnished and the bathroom was fabulous. Also loved the terrace on the 1st floor, very peaceful and private. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful place and peaceful ? so tastefully decorated. The downstair room was a bit damp, but we were give another room so that was wonderful.

The place is a quiet and green eden in a very nice and still authentic district. We loved the rice fields walk from the hotel. Ubud center is a nice walk too. We really recommend this lovely sanctuary!

It was a hidden gem-oasis of peace and vibrancy of nature. I felt like I’m recharging my batteries with every hour. I loved the location, removed but walkable from the busy-mess of Ubud. The staff, a wonderful family were very attentive and friendly. Breakfasts delicious. I didn’t want to leave from there. I loved it

Absolutely beautiful place. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! Big spacious rooms with a lovely balcony. Felt like your own little tropical hideaway. Lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Outside of busy ubud but only a 30 min walk into the centre. This place really is like a hidden gem. We were given the number for a taxi driver too and he was so helpful throughout the trip, even when we had gone down to uluwatu he recommended another taxi driver to us! Lovely people, great hotel. Would absolutely recommend to others and hopefully one day we will be back. Exceptional value for money, the massages were great too! Thank you! Nothing!

The rooms are generous, comfortable and everything is very clean. The location is super, just far enough away from the centre to be peaceful but close enough to be accessible. Breakfasts are wholesome and of good quality. Staff and owners are lovely and super helpful. Clearer signage on arrival would be an advantage. If the owners upgraded a few features to include hotel style bedlinen and towels, bathroom accessories and toiletries they could easily add 50% to the nightly rate.
