Easy access in Ikebukuro, budget-friendly, smooth check-in. Stayed at a cozy spot in Ikebukuro and honestly, the location is a win—super easy to get around and very budget-friendly. Check-in was smooth with a kind, welcoming auntie who made the vibe feel warm right away. The room was clean and well-kept, and the bed was soft and comfy, perfect for recharging after a long day out. On the downside, there’s no bathtub if you’re into soaking, and they don’t provide complimentary bottled water. That said, there’s a free water dispenser available, which helps. Overall, it’s a simple, no-frills stay that covers the basics but still keeps things comfortable.

I liked the location of the property - it was not at the heart of the city though if one has the JR pass, the Yamonote line is easy to access and the stations of interest such as Harajaku and Shinjuku are not far. The facilities were cleaned everyday and I appreciate the attention to detail in this regard. The rooms are not sound proof and as I lived on the ground floor, people who had meals in the shared space were sometimes loud so I would have invested in sound proof ear plugs or something along those lines

Very convenient location and grateful for all the amenities available. It was nice when other customers would clean up after themselves too. For the most part very clean and great experience for a Japanese style sleeping arrangement. The only part I didn't like was seeing some mold here and there. Not the hotels fault but had issues with some other residents being messy and inconsiderate of others.

Location Location

this is already our 5th time staying to house ikebukuro and it always feels like home none

Hostel has common kitchen and space for leaving luggages with lock. Reception staff is available from 7am until 12 midnight. Accessible restaurants and kombini. Good train access but still a little far to be honest :p - No lift (I know this) so it's advisable to travel light. - Room was not soundproof so you'd hear footsteps and loud door banging (some guests are not considerate enough in opening and closing their doors - unfortunately)

Cleanliness and the location ?? Nothing at all

The blanket seemed a little dusty when I shook it, but overall the room was clean and comfortable. If your suitcase is heavy, note that the room is on the second floor, so carrying it up might be a bit tiring. There are rooms on the first floor, but you may need to ask or book early. It’s perfect for 1–2 people, but a bit tight for 3.

Location was good and so was the hot water and water pressure It was dirty, had no sink to wash dishes except bathroom. Only supplied single little towel person and we have longer hair. The room was very humid and towels never dried.

The room is small but still has everything that you could need. I would say noise cancelling is bad. I could clearly hear what was happening behind the closed door.

Everything else.

It's clean and so comfortable.......

The insulation of the room is a little bit not good, but I believe it could be improved in the future.

I was really impressed by how spacious the room was, especially for the price in Tokyo! Everything we needed was provided in the room, and I enjoyed the chance to stay in a place with a futon. The laundry area is located outside, which is great because it keeps the room quiet even when doing laundry. The host was incredibly helpful, they assisted us with luggage storage and explained how to use the luggage delivery service. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The laundry area being outside means it has limited hours, so it’s not available for use late at night.

Super nice place to stay! The room was really clean and cozy, and I was surprised by how clean the bathroom was too. Would love to come back again. Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like about this place — everything was perfect!
